Dude, ever single car ever made leaks water down between the glass and that weather strip. That's why all doors have drain holes in the bottom. You can place a plastic cover over the top of the speaker and solves the problem. Make one or you can buy them too.
It was a very nice post, I've been thinking of changing my Bose speakers on my c5 corvette since I installed a double din player, the sound is kinda flat, still looking around. Cheers
they work fine on my c5 but when I go high on the volume they start to cut off until I bring the Volume lower. did you have any of these problems. I also installed an after-market radio I see you did the same and I use the PAC, did you use one
I change the door speakers in my car and the same thing happen , water leaking ,, to fix it re tighten everything , the new speakers hit harder and shook everything loose. after the 3 time I used a sealer on the end of the screws , now i have no problems.
They make foam baffles that will protect it. Much easier than the plexy idea. I bought mine form crutchfield.
