    Have you managed to get anything more than one finger touch to work with MacOS please? I noticed that in your video when zooming in on the map, you were double tapping. The Amazon page states…
    “[Touch for MacOS] Support single touch when connecting to a Macbook without need of driver. Compares to most other touchscreens need driver, help you save 120€/95£ cost”
    Also, I note this is said to work with USB-C iPads, would it work with iPhone 15 Pro with USB-C?
    Many thanks

      The monitor is not capable than more than the OS has built into it. MacOS is not made for touch so some things will be limited but with other things like on an Android phone that would be different. I would search the Amazon pages questions as there is a ton more info in there.

    I can see where this might be useful with a MacBook but traveling is another thing. I don't know how most folks feel but when I am away from home I want something that is light and portable and I don't want to have to lug another monitor around. I usually take my iPad with me when I travel. It fits the bill perfectly for me but of course I can't answer for everyone.
    Thanks for the video.

    • @craigneidel
      @craigneidel  Před 10 měsíci

      Yes, the iPad is a good choice also. This is for people that need a bunch of real-estate on the screen when traveling but overall it's not a huge package when in the case.

    Hi Craig, this looks interesting! I am looking for touchscreen so I can use my macbook pro with either Final Cut or iMovie. How is that? Are you able to zoom in on videos using a 'squeeze' like finger gesture or swipe like?
    Thanks!

    • @craigneidel
      @craigneidel  Před 10 měsíci +1

      If Zooming is not built into MacOS then it would not work on the monitor. For things like Android phone etc. that has it built into the OS it should work. There is a ton of good info on the Amazon page under the questions and how it all works for additional info but there are going to be some limitations due to MacOS.

    Is there any additional settings to make it work? I have a similar one but the touch screen works only if the mouse cursor is on it. If my mouse is on my primary display, the touch doesn't work. It just moves the mouse on my main dispay as if it is touch pad. I am on Mac Mini M2

    I do a ton of audio recording on my Mac. This would be great to use as a screen for the mixer. Then I could get in there like I use to with physical mixers instead of using a mouse on the digital mixer. I just hope it supports all Mac computers from 2019 on. I have a 2019 iMac. All I have on mine are the thunderbolt ( usb c ) ports. Hopefully this will work with them.

    I use a similar monitor for about five years. It has two usb c ports - one for power delivery and one - to connect to a computer. I was never able to make it work with an external power supply on MacBook. I had to power it exclusively from my MacBook. Recently I found out - why. The usb c connector is two way! The monitor can draw power from the MacBook or it can power the laptop. So when both of them have a power supply connected, the MacBook software gets confused. Now I used the monitor as a pass through device to deliver power to the laptop. It saves a usb c port on my MacBook and reduces load on the external ports. Too bad these Chinese monitors do not have proper documentation.

  • @denisleblanc4506
    @denisleblanc4506 Před 11 měsíci

    At first glance this might be ideal for someone like me that would like to travel with my M2 Pro Mac mini. I could easily stuff this in my big briefcase along with my mini and keyboard. I wouldn't need to bring the magic track pad but could if I wanted to. Even better, at the end of the clip I see you might be able to connect it to your smartphone? Brilliant. Then all you may need is the small power brick to power it. I see second video coming for this monitor? Now you don't even need an iPad or tablet and it would be a lot cheaper. I have to look into this for traveling.

    • @craigneidel
      @craigneidel  Před 11 měsíci

      It's basically a bonus since it's about the same cost as a normal travel monitor. So at the end of the day it's a good value for what it is.

    Has anyone figured out how to use a touchscreen as an extended monitor where it will function if the mouse cursor isn't on the touchscreen display? Any touchscreen monitor I have used on a mac will function but only if the mouse cursor is on the touchscreen display. If the mouse cursor is on the other display, the touch screen essentially just functions as a trackpad... which is useless.
