Imagine my surprise to learn that the Vietnam war was a false flag operation, that the USA new for 1-2 years abt the impending attack on Pearl Harbor, they even put their planes in a circle ⭕️ facing each other. Helping their enemies kill Americans. Pdt Kennedy rejected the false flag op of the CIA, (who else?) against Cuba. America has a very long list of false flag operations. You should not play the lottery if you think you "NEED" to play it because you are poor. It's a game. You are betting that you are going to win. They are betting you are going to lose. You play to see who is right. Not because you can't find a job or don't want to work. The rich play because it's a game. You don't go to vegas to gamble because you need to. You go to enjoy yourself and play the games. That's why the lottery is a good and bad thing. People like you look it at the wrong way, as an opportunity offered to you. It's not, it's just a game, nothing more.

    It'a all about financial discipline. If you have the money to play the lottery and you enjoy it - then do it. On the other hand, if you don't have a good paying job, plenty to eat, good health insurance, a nice house, nice car, and money in the bank - then you can't afford it.
    If you get lucky and win a large sum of money - be smart about it. First and foremost - pay off all your debts. Bank at least half of your winnings. Take a course in financial management, and learn about tax shelters and investing. If you decide to open a business - do some research first. Learn about franchise fees, employment and tax laws, filing articles of incorporation to protect your personal property, etc., etc.

      Because some family members will think just because you're related to them they think you're obligated to give them what they think they deserve when it comes to lottery winnings when in all honesty, you're not obligated to share your lottery riches/winnings with anyone. If a winner chooses to share whatever money he/she wishes to give, whether it's a small amount and modest amount, it's up to said winner and they're not obligated to give any more than that. *Doug* Don't you have a system in place, that for a nominal annual fee of $5.00, you register your name and address, so even if you lose your ticket, you're still able to claim your prize?. In my country, the ticket has printed across the top, ticket number, then emblazoned *"Registered Ticket"* . Then in the middle, your name and your players club card number. The card is credit card size, where you can opt to have all your permanent/favourite numbers on it. Or just use it as is for any Lotto/Pools games. All prizes of $1000 and below, are paid by a Lotto outlet, of the State you reside in, regardless if you bought the ticket hundreds of miles away within that State, but If you lose the ticket, it's no big deal, as a cheque will be posted to you six to eight weeks after the draw. All prizes above $1000, will be paid into the bank account you nominate. Cheers, be lucky...

    • @davidhamilton506
      @davidhamilton506 Před 6 lety

      *ProudKansan08* It sounds like your system could be improved upon. I'm not exactly au fait with the running of your Lotto/Lotteries, in regard to where you purchase your tickets, but in my country we don't sign a thing when buying a Lotto entry. There are two options. First option, do nothing, but if you lose the ticket and it's found by another, they could rightfully claim *any* prize if the numbers match. The second option, and the most sensible is registration. You register your name, address, plus email address and phone numbers on an application form, then post it. You then receive in the mail a player's card, where you can store all your favorite numbers over various Lotto games. You present this card each time you play your numbers or additional games or when claiming the lower divisional prizes. There is a small annual fee of $5.00, which you pay direct to the newsagent each year, but should you lose your ticket, it's no problem, as any prize won will still be yours. It also alerts you via email if you've won a prize. You're also protected whereby *NO ONE, but NO ONE can claim any prize if the ticket is lost* , as it has your name only and rego number printed thereon and they would have to present the card for payment. *No card, no payment* .In the case of smaller divisional wins of $1000.00 or less, you normally present your ticket and player's card at *any newsagency* at the State you reside in to be paid. If your ticket is lost, a cheque for the amount won will be mailed to you within six weeks. For all amounts above $1000.00, you will be contacted by phone from the Lottery Commission to advise you of your win. Further from that, I cannot say what the policy is at present, but some years ago, for a 1st division win, they'd send a Limousine to pick you up, then take you for a champagne breakfast celebration in their private rooms. This I'm sure though, was only limited to the metropolitan areas of a large city. Best of all, it's a private presentation when handing you the cheque, with no bloody publicity, *no newspapers, no TV* . Perhaps these days it's electronically transferred to your bank account. One thing I'd point out, is that if you present a ticket with a smaller divisional win at a newsagency, that ticket is scanned and you can, if you choose to, take the ticket back. The ticket machine will overwrite *winner* across the face, so as to thwart anyone trying to claim the prize multiple times at other newsagencies. The newsagent will be duly compensated from the Lottery Commission for those divisional wins of $1000.00 and below. A simple but effective system to guarantee you piece of mind in the event you lose, or have your ticket go through the wash. Cheers, and hope the luck is with you all...

      California has (or had) a second chance drawing for all of their scratch games. If I ever saw a scratcher on the ground, I would pick it up, take it home, and enter the drawing. And in gas stations too, and tickets in their trash (on the top) I would also take.
      Side note: I heard of a lady that did the same thing. Was in a gas station, saw a ticket sitting in the trash, took it, and won millions. The store got involved, saying it was their trash, so the ticket was their property, and they wanted the money. Big lawsuit followed.
      The ONLY thing I miss about CA is being able to enter drawings with tickets I found littered about.

A movie ticket cost more money, and a movie only last less than 2 hours usually. I see nothing wrong with buying a ticket now and then. Yes if you really believe you are going to win, or spend too much you have a problem. Well Bob, I have both covered in regard to accident insurance and comprehensive vehicle insurance. The accident insurance is what we term compulsory third party, or our green slip. It forms the other part of our annual registration. Comprehensive Insurance is compulsory if the vehicle is under hire purchase. If you own your vehicle outright, you can drive it, so long as it's registered, but if you meet with an accident, you're in deep shit, as the other fellow's insurance company will seek reimbursement and should other damage be attributed to the accident like a Telegraph/light pole be knocked down or a neighbour's fence demolished, the uninsured driver will need to cough up for that also. My comprehensive insurance is one that includes a totally new vehicle for old, for the lifetime of the vehicle, even if it should be "written off', or totalled in an accident 30 years from now. Of course who knows 30 years down the track, they may no longer be in business, or taken over by another company that may not honour the previous policy. You can opt for a Third Party Property damage policy only, which will cover other vehicles, pedestrians, Light poles, fences, shop fronts, but not your own vehicle. Cheers...

    We recently got new lotto machines in Ohio. In which up to a week ago would LOUDLY say " winner, winner!" And there was no possible way to turn it down or off. Which personally I loved, because people stoped asking me a million times if I'm sure it's not a winner. Unfortunately after the lotto pushed new updates to the machines they shut that off... And now people are more paranoid than ever.

    I've heard it said that the lottery is a poor man's tax. It is so true. You have a better chance of being run over by an errant driver at an intersection than winning big at a lottery.

    • @davidhamilton506
      @davidhamilton506 Před 6 lety

      I do not believe that. Even an unemployed person on the dole in my country receives just on $500.00 a fortnight, that could have them afford to play the least expensive game of Lotto, costing just $2.85 a week for four chances at a shot of $4,000,000. How the hell could that be considered a poor man's tax. One does not force you to play. If you're an American, and win a substantial prize, we know ho Uncle Sam greedily snavels up front, his share of your winnings, then double dips on the interest it accrues after 12 months. Not so for us. If we won $50,000,000, we could, if we're stupid, blow the lot in 12 months and have a *zero* tax bill. But no, we'd set ourselves up within that 12 months and invest the rest. Our only tax would be on the interest accrued component of the amount invested and can still show an after tax profit of some of that interest being either rolled over to the capital, or used as a way to pay for all yearly electricity, rates, petrol expenses etc...

    A few years ago, I matched 5 out of 6 numbers on the Colorado state lottery. Considering the odds of matching 5 numbers, I thought the prize would be good - but it was only $565.

    • @2332Stephen
      @2332Stephen Před 7 lety +1

      You don't get paid big for almost hitting all the numbers. duhh. That's why the powerball is soo high for the max jackpot. If you want the big money, you gotta be perfect. I play fantasy 5 in florida. 4 out of 5 pays between 80-500, but 5-5 pays anywhere between 50k-250K based on how many winners. that's a huge difference just for 1 number.

    • @zzanatos2001
      @zzanatos2001 Před 7 lety +1

      My point is that 5 out of 6 should pay out a lot more than $565 because the odds make it exponentially more difficult to win. The Powerball pays a minimum of $2 million for 5 out of 6 and you can win up to $10 million if you play power play and the multiplier is 5.

    • @MegaBallPowerBall
      @MegaBallPowerBall Před 7 lety +2

      Zachary Zarko The minimum payout for getting the 5 white balls is $1 Million not 2. There's a 10x multiplier (power play) so you're correct there. Matching 4 of the white balls plus the Powerball (I.E 5 out of 6) pays $50,000 without power play. Missing one white ball turns hundreds of millions into $50,000.

    • @MegaBallPowerBall
      @MegaBallPowerBall Před 7 lety +2

      Zachary Zarko BTW California uses the Park-Mutual system for Powerball just like the Colorado Lotto. Matching the 5 white balls in Powerball in California gets you $150,000 to $250,000 depending on the draw.

    This is why you google LOTTERY in your state and you check the numbers before you go to cash your ticket, also if they say you didn't win take your ticket back and rip it , never leave your tickets with anyone.

    • @davidhamilton506
      @davidhamilton506 Před 6 lety

      When the Lotto agencies in my country scan the ticket through their machine, the machine let's everyone within earshot know about it, as it emits a sound like an old cash register ringing up a sale. I can even take back the winning ticket as the agency will be compensated in due course by the Lottery/Lotto consortium running the game. And NO, one cannot take that winning ticket to another outlet to claim the prize again as the machine overprints the word "winner" across it.

    Sooooo many ways to personally look at the lottery. It can be like renting a dream for a few hours versus renting a movie to watch. Less then a pack of smokes which has a crazy high tax and an early grave. A self examination of your ability to manage your money and not having to buy a self help book. And the list goes on.
