In my case, my eyebrows were too thick for my face, making them thinner made me look way more harmonious.

@Autumnsfallingpoint in like 2020 it was called "boy brow" which isnt a great name but it was just growing out your own brows and rocking them big or small. It's when I was inspired to stop plucking my eyebrows (besides the unibrow part. I'm only human) and I worked so hard to regrow my brows that I have stuck with that trend no matter where the brow trends go. My family will probably always wonder when I'm going to pluck them again but I'm impressed with myself so whatever lol.
Its mainly a change in hairstyles, but the face doesnt really change. Also, weight doesnt play a role here, while it has in history. It seems like the picked face for that is that of the current standard (soft features, full lips, open eyelids, defined chin…). It doesn‘t really show how the beauty standard changed.

This face would still be considered pretty in any century and people nowadays are far fatter than what would've been considered attractive in other times.
@@mirabella2154 I only see minor changes. If I didn't know that this video was about the face, I would have guessed it's about hairstyles. And of course a face that is considered beautiful today was probably also beautiful centuries before. But there have definitely been trends, that are more visible than shown in the videos. Like I said, eyebrow shapes, lip size and form, nose shape (button noses are quite a new beauty standard, straight, long noses were also there), long face, round face, twiggy, brats-doll...
@@metoo3342yes up to a certain degree, but facial fat was a beauty feature in the renaissance for example. While now we have buccal fat removal. These are trends in facial beauty which i would have liked to see

I wish you guys had a fun ending part in your assessments where we could see different makeups, eras or separately see how different surgical applications would look like on our faces too. I loved seeing these era makeup and hair adjustments on this model and would love to see it for myself too. Although obviously you guys are great at the assesment but its so expensive already for me 😅😅😢😢😢
2010s & 2020s should have more of a Kardashian look to it… their influence on beauty the past 2 decades is undeniable.

2010’s was a perfect example of how the Kardashians wore make up. Especially with the bigger lips. Beauty standards in 2020 is quite different however and I wouldn’t say the Kardashians have the same influence they did ten years ago

The 2010’s were definitely a moment. It’s as if everyone did their makeup to be on stage. Now in the 2020’s, it’s basically anything to make your features look more taut, and almost no makeup.

Body shape is even more discouraging. In the age of big boobs I was a flat chested teen. When low low low rise jeans were a thing I was past puberty and had too much hip and belly. Cue the bbl era and well, I finally had big breast but it was all about butts which I’ve never had 😅

More like the history of popular hairstyles... it's just one girl, it's the SAME beauty standard in different hairstyles.
Look at her eyebrows, lips shape and eyelashes. Yes ofc she keep the same phenotype but it’s undeniable that the hairstyle isn’t the only factor that changed overtime.
I think the goal of the short is to show how the same girl would style herself in different decades. You can’t change her face shape.
We can all agree that standard doesn’t affect people who’s already attractive😹 even the standard has changed they’re still pretty anyway lol
