This is not true you're looking at this from a very American standard. I was just watching a documentary about children being force-fed because fat is beautiful where they're at.
Marlyin monrea had plastic surgery and that was in the 60s, also let's not forgot micheal jackson, but the thing is it wasn't considered a beauty standard now days every girl wants to get rhinoplasty and fillers and implants when they turn 18
I think we will look back at overly thick brows as we so the overly thin brows in the 00's. Honestly we need to do less extremes more isn't always better.
@@Autumnsfallingpoint I'd say doing whatever fits our face and enhances our features is the best choice. In my case, my eyebrows were too thick for my face, making them thinner made me look way more harmonious.
@Autumnsfallingpoint in like 2020 it was called "boy brow" which isnt a great name but it was just growing out your own brows and rocking them big or small. It's when I was inspired to stop plucking my eyebrows (besides the unibrow part. I'm only human) and I worked so hard to regrow my brows that I have stuck with that trend no matter where the brow trends go. My family will probably always wonder when I'm going to pluck them again but I'm impressed with myself so whatever lol.
Its mainly a change in hairstyles, but the face doesnt really change. Also, weight doesnt play a role here, while it has in history. It seems like the picked face for that is that of the current standard (soft features, full lips, open eyelids, defined chin…). It doesn‘t really show how the beauty standard changed.
This face would still be considered pretty in any century and people nowadays are far fatter than what would've been considered attractive in other times.
@@mirabella2154 I only see minor changes. If I didn't know that this video was about the face, I would have guessed it's about hairstyles. And of course a face that is considered beautiful today was probably also beautiful centuries before. But there have definitely been trends, that are more visible than shown in the videos. Like I said, eyebrow shapes, lip size and form, nose shape (button noses are quite a new beauty standard, straight, long noses were also there), long face, round face, twiggy, brats-doll...
@@metoo3342yes up to a certain degree, but facial fat was a beauty feature in the renaissance for example. While now we have buccal fat removal. These are trends in facial beauty which i would have liked to see
I was going to say last one look the prettiest to me. Then I remembered we're currently in the 20s so this is the current standard. All of them look lovely.
The last two decades pale in comparison to the more natural and individualistic beauty of previous generations. The entire world does not need to look like a Kardashian.
I wish you guys had a fun ending part in your assessments where we could see different makeups, eras or separately see how different surgical applications would look like on our faces too. I loved seeing these era makeup and hair adjustments on this model and would love to see it for myself too. Although obviously you guys are great at the assesment but its so expensive already for me 😅😅😢😢😢
2010’s was a perfect example of how the Kardashians wore make up. Especially with the bigger lips. Beauty standards in 2020 is quite different however and I wouldn’t say the Kardashians have the same influence they did ten years ago
The 2010’s were definitely a moment. It’s as if everyone did their makeup to be on stage. Now in the 2020’s, it’s basically anything to make your features look more taut, and almost no makeup.
You look so pretty today, I am starting to love your makeup NK. You definitely have natural beauty and you’re beautiful. If you have a manz or found a mensizzz then tell us about your relationship in a personal Q&A video and how did you guys meet and the romance part 😍😍
Body shape is even more discouraging. In the age of big boobs I was a flat chested teen. When low low low rise jeans were a thing I was past puberty and had too much hip and belly. Cue the bbl era and well, I finally had big breast but it was all about butts which I’ve never had 😅
I will update the video title if I may. 'The history of what is considered to be the height of fashion in the eyes of Hollywood plus a very small selection of other countries.'
Look at her eyebrows, lips shape and eyelashes. Yes ofc she keep the same phenotype but it’s undeniable that the hairstyle isn’t the only factor that changed overtime. I think the goal of the short is to show how the same girl would style herself in different decades. You can’t change her face shape.
Basically, a beautiful face is a beautiful face
based. Beauty standarts for genetic material never changed.

True title: History of fashionable hair styles
And makeup trends
The 40’s look was my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE 😍
Same! It’s gorgeous 😩 makes me want to try all these different styles
'70s girl is my fav
Me too, looks the most natural out of all of them for me
Same
Me too girl, I love the 70’s and the early 2000’s girl. They look so beautiful and pretty lol 🥰😍
idk why 1950s looks rly nice to me❤
fr
Agree
Looks like sunny leone
The clothes from that time were also my favorite.
90's is the best look because it's so natural
60's and 90's were my favorite looks from this video, but then we get to the 2000's and I just wonder wtf people were doing.
🤣🤣
Nah 2000’s is the best one
Yup. 40s 60s 90s
She looked beautiful in every single one of these
I feel like the 80's hair should have been bigger in height, length & width.
And more fried/heavily teased looking
60s, 70s and 90s look the best
Its also the time where she wears really minimal makeup and looks more natural
I also agree 👍
No 1930
No, 80s. Curls are nice.
I'd go 20s, 30s, 60s. I'm oldskool :D
2000's was such an era. I wish we live that years again
I loveee the 2000's, 1920's, and 1950's one!!!!
80s was ahead of its time ✨
Looks like wonder woman vibes
You can clearly see the Afro influence in 80’s style
Idk why but 1920-1930 looks so good
A lot of people are saying that the 2000s & the ‘90s should be switched…Uh Absolutely Not! I was there. It’s accurate.
90s!! I always wondered why girls seemed so much prettier back then
I like 1960 & 1990 best. Looked so elegant.
1930s and 1940s is love
I think we will look back at overly thick brows as we so the overly thin brows in the 00's. Honestly we need to do less extremes more isn't always better.
Women actually pay money to ruin their eyebrows.
I think we should just do what our natural eyebrows are instead

Eyebrows changed
50, 60 and 90 :)
90s are out of this world
90s is my favourite, looks like a perfect balance of enhanced and natural beauty!
It's always the 60s for me!
70s n 90s aggghhhh so damn lovely 🤧
So true
I personally think the 50s was super pretty n classy
90s over here.
Love how something kind never change
The 70s is the best
2000 and 1990 got switched, the brown lip liner was 90s Aaliyah!
Notice how all of them had clear skin except freckles in some
2000s went back to the 30s for a sec there
'30s, '60s, '70s, 2020's might be my favorites. I might even like the '80s version of ideal beauty inspite of the strong makeup.
they got the 2000’s eyebrows wrong way too thin and rounded arch
90s for the win honestly
I love the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s
60s 70s 2010s and 2020s are my fave.
I feel like 90’s and 2000’s need to switch.
30s and 40s look the best for me
60’s are KILLING it 💅✨
1930, 1960, 1970 and 1990’s are my favourites.

Much better transition style!! Seeing them fly across the screen is stimulating but your target audience is already obsessed with observation
Lmao 2010s is literally 2016 makeup
exactly
i like how the images get progressively coloured over time
That wasn’t the 80s - the makeup in the 80s used bright neon colors and heavy blush
The 20’s and 30’s were my personal favorites
The makeup and hair changed but not the face haha
I love how the upper lip is getting bigger and bigger each era 😂
I think youre automatically drawn to your era by nostalgia. And then like youre mothers era as second-hand nostalgia
50s looks like sunny leone

2010s & 2020s should have more of a Kardashian look to it… their influence on beauty the past 2 decades is undeniable.

she looks good in all of them basically, buts 80s on is more modern and attractive
