    Just got one, it's great and totally different than my 765, can't really compare straight across the board. Shaker 937 twin vs revvy 765 triple, just different bikes. Ducati knows how to make a bike with character and detail, I love it. The most desirable bikes never seem to be cheap ...

    A Monster doesn't have to be insanely fast, it just needs to be quick and visually cool. A Bologna Monster without a Bologna (trellis) frame isn't cool. It's now just another solid lump of motorcycle parked in a sea of motorcycles at Philip Island. One you now walk past on your way to look at an S4R. I'd love to hear Miguel Galluzzi's thoughts. Yeah, I'm still surly about the frame. Cheers, Neevesy!

    Saw one at a local bike show a couple of weeks ago.
    Nice bike, but it’s hopelessly overpriced.
    It costs 30% more than a Duke 890 R or the new Street RS.
    For the same money I could buy a brand new MT-10, fit better pads + braided lines and still have enough money for +400 litres of petrol.
    That’s about enough to power your new MT-10 for a whole month 😂

    Trellis framed monster owner here. The new bikes just don’t have the curb appeal anymore. Maybe the younger guys have a different opinion. Mv Augusta nakeds are just way more complex to look at standing still. A factor in new purchases for many.

    Ive had my ‘22 Hyper SP for 18months and it feels like this Monster SP is really a Hyper for vertically challenged and smaller people with reduced weight and lower ride height with the same bonkers ride a Hyper. I need to test one

    • @mikes.8305
      @mikes.8305 Před rokem +1

      Not too sure. I have a Hyper RVE and I tested the Monster SP out of curiosity. It’s definitely easier all around to ride, but the seat height felt about the same to me on the SP monster that is. The engine felt a little more rev hungry than the hyper. Wheelies and slides are easier than the hyper, although that could be because I have my hyper tuned pretty soft for the bumpy ass roads right now.
      Overall there was something very cool happening with that monster SP. Still love the hyper though, and the hyper looks way better to me, especially the SP!

      @@rlsedition better performance per dollar Or whatever currency. Looks are subjective so I personally don't factor that in since I know I like some bikes that others think are hideous. You could buy an MT09SP and have thousands left over for track days, tires, gear. That's what I was trying to point out. The 100% performance margins in these bikes are slim. A great rider will be within a second of each I bet. And for a rider like myself it would probably be even less.
