In this episode I explain how turbos work and go over what makes a turbocharger go stutututu.. lol

@@MZopyrusHave you contacted @GTChannel or have they contacted you? Your content is much worthiness to the tenth power. It’s really good! Contact GTChannel and if you do tell Scott that @ProjectCarTV sent you! Seriously good content. It needs more views! 💯
Great content, thank you for clearing that up! I always wondered why they sounded different. Keep up with this channel dude, it's awesome!
Thanks and will do for sure 😊
That was exactly what I was asking my brother for… I just got my first turbo car and I wanted to know how the turbo and all the related parts works..awesome video! You earned a suscriber!
Wow ! I bought a Audi Q6 a couple of weeks ago...makes a noise. Im a 70 yr old woman and i understood what you were explaining. Clear, plain..im saving you on my phone..thx😊
I love this explanation. The attention to detail is top notch, the diagrams help in visually understanding the content, and the fact that you are explaining it on video gives it a more human touch. 10/10.
Yeah, I forgot to mention the diagrams in my comment - they were very well done. Illustrated the concept perfectly.
Please keep doing exactly what you’re doing,,,,,,,these videos are awesome, short, sweet and to the point.
This is the simplest video I've ever seen explaining turbo sounds and was interesting the whole time I'm definitely subscribing
Subscribed straight from the intro u know, straight forward, right to the point, no unnecessary talk, just how it’s supposed to be, watched the vid aswell, ur way of explaining is clear, interesting and entertaining 💯💯💯 keep doing what ur doing bro 👊🏾
I love your video. The concept of sit down educational videos with diagrams are so engaging and interesting
This is great, thanks for the feedback 😁
Funny, I was looking for "other" turbo sounds. Like the whine I started hearing at low throttle recently. But this was a very well done overview for people just getting into force feeding their engines. Also, I enjoyed the montage at the end. :)
stutututututututu is what I'm gonna have on my project car for sure
I know very little about cars but that "witch laugh" turbo sound just warms my heart for some reason. "frrrrr-uzuzuzuzuuuuuu"
Great video man super helpful and very intriguing and interesting and just an over all positive and useful vibe keep pumping great videos out 😁
Thank you, I appreciate it 😁
Wow this is the first explanation vid I've watched on this and it was explained perfect haha thank you!
This is some quality content for such a new channel. Love it.
Thanks this is super encouraging 😁🙏
Love his vids so far i watched and taken notes on em for a project car lol
Amazing video ! Explaining every aspect! Keep up dude
One of the most underrated channels on the Tube
This is so good and simple to understand thanks for making this video
Man thank you so much for this! As a dumb sim racer I’m used to these sounds and love them, but it took me a while to even figure out what to google. “Queefy engine sound” yielded undesirable results. Now I can pretend to know what I’m doing better, which is the whole point of sim racing 😂
Bro, ya boi needed this as I don't know shit about car stuff or turbos, I got a GTI last year and been wanting to give it the same shutter tuber sounds as my brothers GTI, it's that sweet psssssss building sound and you get that shutter sound once letting off or shifting
you solved whoosh mystery i was hunting for since my childhood video games sounds....I have been in love for this...
Dope content, really concise in the way you explain it. Subscribed!
Thanks for the support 🙏
subscribed instantly, no brainer. dope vid man im watching "what you need to turbocharge your car" right now
Fantastic vid, answers all my questions
Legend for making making a video on this topic
I love your content bro, keep the good work up ✊

I never thought I would find an answer when I wrote this question on the internet. :D Awesome video.

Thanks. Nice explanation!
Very good video understood a lot! Keep up the good work man. Also came from tiktok
Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback 🙏
Perfect video!
Thanks for explaining 👍
KEEP POSTIN THIS FYE
😁🙏🙏🙏
The exact explanation I want! 🤩
really great video but you forgot to mention the diffrences of the diffrent compressor surges. There are two types of compressor surge, the is one called closed throttle compressor surge and open throttle compressor surge. The diffrences is that the open throttle compressor surge is were the turbo makes to much boost for your engine, aka your engine is overwhelmed with the boost and it cant use it since it cant fire faster than its getting air, and that is were it is bad for your turbo. Your turbo tries to make more boost while they compressed air has no where to go than out of the turbo again, which creates to much stress for the turbo. So closed throttle compressor surge is not dangerous at all for your turbo since its not trying to feed more air to the engine so there is no stress
There was a reply a few years ago from mzopyrus stating what you said, but still, get a like so this comment get higher its still good info
yeah as long as you dont hear the stu stu stu while under load you should be fine
This was amazing!
I’m actually thinking about installing a blow off valve
Thanks 😁
3:18 this is the REAL SOUND OMG
What si that whistling bell sound?
Great explanation. Keep it up
that beginning music was worth a like and subscribe.. without even watching the video yet
Thanks for this !
Great Vid Man!!
Bruh great video!
Thanks for this bro! Hey you have waaay more sub A Class content 💯💯
Thanks man! ✌️
show him more love help this guy get a mil subs
Good video however I would add that you can still have the compressor surge "issue" if your not using the correct springs for you BOV. Also the only time compressor surge has really been shown to be harmful from what ive seen is if your on throttle and expirencing it.
Alternative to a dump valve is a recirculation valve. Instead of venting to atmosphere a recirculation valve vents the compressed air back into the engine intake it basically reuses the air and reduces the lag by boosting the air being drawn into the engine. The limiting factor here being the amount of air which can be recirculated. The downside being that it gives positive pressure in the rocker cover and over time can cause rocker cover gasket failure. An engine which uses a recirculation valve is not suitable to switch for a dump valve because the ECU is programmed to allow more fuel when recirculating and having a dump valve means the extra air is not there for the mix this can cause over fuelling engine damage over time and lag issues in the short term.
Good stuff
Great content, motorsports is always more fun with some humor.
I agree, and thank you 😁
When dj khaled goes to the gym:
This actually made me LOL
Great insights! I have a question though: Is there possibly a sound that sounds similar to the turbo but actually indicates wear on another part that might be near it’s lifecycle?
your gasket is probably loose id get it checced out by the dealership they'll probably fix it for little to nothing
Great help thank you my car sounded like the first car then after changing some pipes it sounds like the second now and got really confused.
Respect man, straight to the point no subscribe to me bs or anything
Or alternatively, you can set it back on Recirculation. You won't get fancy fancy noises but the air will get recirculated back into your intake and won't cause a BOV jerk. It does on my CVT.
But #Weliveforthesounds
Something to take note, installing BOV on manuals will guarantee you a CEL. But usually people either just heck it or just clear the fault code regularly using BT OBD Reader.
The more power.....baby was a nice touch.
Just for reference the turbine is driven by gas and an impeller is what drives the gas. Basically, the comd side is an impeller and the hot side is the turbine or the impeller is powered by an outside force and a turbine is what powers the shaft it's on.
Good content broo
Hey awesome vid.
In your opinion does the compressed air going back into the turbo actually hurt the components enough to worry about them?
thanks
No I don't believe it's really harmful, a good turbo should be able to handle off throttle surge with no problem. However if surge happens while on throttle, it is bad, very bad.
@@MZopyrus thanks for that :)
So, I don’t know a lot of cars just a little. When the throttle is stopped obviously air is “stuck” temporarily and it goes out a BoV however, when shifting during a “full send” other than re engaging the Trany does to account for extra “torque” during shift points? Might be an dumb Q lol.
Nice video
Btw you look like sinan g lol
Great content :), Could you tell me what's the name of the song in your intro?
i was waiting for that R33 to finish his burnout😂
Thank You For Not Saying The Compressor Surge Is The Sound Of The Turbo Spinning Back Words XD. The Only Thing I Don't Agree With Is The BOV And It Being More Laggy Off On Throttle Then No BOV. From My Experience BOV Help Maintain Your Turbo Speed Better. When There's No BOV There Is Air Pushing Back Through The Compressor. I Believe This Slows Down Your Turbo Quicker Then If It Were Free Flowing Through A BOV. I've Daily Drove Without A BOV For Years And Decided To Try Them Out And I Noticed The Off On Throttle / Boost Spool Response Is Better With A BOV. However I Never Run A BOV Becasue I Love Compressor Surge Sound. I've Also Yet To Find A BOV That Actually Seals Perfectly When Shut (eBay at least) And I'm Not Spending Over 200 For One XD. Wastages... I Spend The Money haha.
Thanks for the explanation. Its such a "Duh" thing once explained.
I LOVE the "Stu-tu-tu-tu-tu!"
Supercharger next👀, pretty please😄
Hey, how come the r33 has a high pitched sound? Not really a whistle but a quick sharp sound? How would I get that sound in my wrx?
can you explain why some blow off valves sound like “pshhh” and some are that high pitched “chirp tssss” sound? popular example would be the civics in the intro heist scene in the first fast and furious
i like the sound of the turbo that goes whoosh better than the stustustu
TLDR: Eat too much, get gassy, must fart.
Cool MZ....as usual 😎
Thank you, this means a lot 🙏🙏🙏
I always see bad turbo videos but could you make a video how a good turbo would function and sound? I am about to buy a seat leon 2.0 tsfi fr from 2008 and i have no experience with turbo cars or the seat leon to begin with! Cheers.
Why am I just now discovering your channel?? Can you make a video on what the wastegate actuator does?
I got a question, I have a 1993 Honda Civic Del Sol S but with swapped D16Z6 engine/manual. I want to turbo it and I want to make around 10psi. Is it possible to make a turbo sound like the EVO X at 3:30 at 10 psi or no and if it is possible, how do I make that sound and what is it called?
Yo im the license guy nice vid 👌✌️
Moooo powa baby 🤘😜🤘
More power... Baby.
Whens that turbo video coming out, pretty keen to see
Soon, editing it as we speak 😁
Mooo powaaa baby.

Love that sound
what’s the name for it !!
@@pinkstrwberry8 Most people call it turbo flutter.
Do you know how hard it was for me to find a video like this?? Thank you!
Came here from Tik Tok, really good content you're doing here
Glad to have you here 😁
I have a serious question. Is it possible to add a turbo to my 2016 Tundra? I want to give my truck more power, but I want to do it the right way.
Mo powa babyy
MO POWAH BABY!
whats mean if i have BOV and still hearing the stututu , is there something to take care about ?
Could've been more enthusiastic on the "more powa babyy" 😂
Mo powah bby.
Hallo sir which tool are best for ecu re maping
a BOV that sounds like surge, im up for it
I learned recently that eagle calls sound like the chirp from compressor surge.
