Yes, well that's the station with access to and from the depot, at Northumberland Park, which is the only place you'll see Victoria Line trains out in the open!
+Sanay Patel tech. yes they are. but they are different. 67 on the Vic and the 72 on the Bak. to someone that grew up (now 19 so sadly not long) going on mainly the 67s you can tell a difference. i very much miss these stock and other stocks that are no longer running. sadly there are just too many people in London. if it wasnt so bad i bet they would still be running. its not the age that takes them away. its their design and they cannot cope with todays volumes of people
+British Kid The only main difference between the 67 and the 72 stock is the year of construction. They even have the same interior and are mechanically identical. But I understand where you are coming from :)
The 72 Stock was based on the 67 Stock design, adapted for the then "conventiinal" manual operation (originally with guards) which the Victoria Line's 67 Stock didn't have. The first batch spent virtually all its time on the Northern Line, before being scrapped, apart from one unit stabled towards the end on the Aldwych branch, mainly for filming purposes. The 2nd batch started out on the Northern Line, but transferred to the Bakerloo a few years later, and became the first stock to operate the Jubilee Line. After being replaced by the 83 Stock (and later by the 96 Stock) it eventually finished up back on the Bakerloo Line, where it remains today, now the oldest on the system in regular service.
I think a few people ruined that video, especially the guy who yelled out '67 Stock for Life', other than that it was a fitting farewell to some legendary stock.
@AdnamsBrewery There would be a few issues with that, the biggest one being the deadmans handles. You'd have to refit their control equipment as the CTBC in these has no deadmans facility.
Sydney’s single deck red rattler trains that Howard collins actually saw gathering dust in a shed and helped get them back on track we’re retrofitted with controls to ensure they were ok to run in the current period.
Hopefully there will be a similar story when the current 1973 Stock on the Piccadilly line is sent off for the final time, probably around 2027 I think.
‘It’s just a train’ you don’t get it because you aren’t into trains. It’s a farewell. Some people who shouted may of grew up using the 67 stock. Think before you speak.
whoever started the 3 cheers is amazing lmao
When the Sydney s set carriages were retired (videos of that are on YT) I had done same, 3 cheers…..

@@Juniper458 67 stock also had ATO
Sadly, things must come and go, especially when the 67 stock can't cope with the amount of commuters unlike its earlier days
