    Hello again Jeff. I was wondering if Bahia Akumal has Horchita at any of the bars ?

    • @papawgotagopro
      @papawgotagopro  Před rokem +1

      I haven’t seen it at the bars, I’ve seen it at the buffet.

      Hey Paul, thanks for the kind words!
      As soon as the grandsons get their passports renewed and their jabs we’ll all be headed back. That could be in February. So it is possible.

      Some parts of the ground surface under water are all rock. There are plenty of nice areas like the area in this video.

    Very nice. Do you know if they offer water activities? Like jet skiing or parasailin?

    • @papawgotagopro
      @papawgotagopro  Před 3 lety +1

      Those things are available at the Dive Shop at the far south end of the Grand Tulum Beach, past the KAY Beach Club.

    Thanks for the video. Do you know if the breakfast buffet offers freshly squeezed juices? Does the staff serve the buffet?

    • @papawgotagopro
      @papawgotagopro  Před 3 lety +1

      I did not have the opportunity to have juice at Grand Tulum, but Luxury Akumal delicious fresh squeezed OJ every morning. At this time, yes, staff does indeed serve buffet items onto your plate.

      There is a disco at the Hacienda, very popular with the younger adults. It is still closed because of COVID-19 protocols.

    hey! when was this video taken? I am going in April and worried about the beach seaweed issue

    • @papawgotagopro
      @papawgotagopro  Před 2 lety +2

      It was middle of April 2021, our favorite time of year to go. Best weather; not too hot and the pools and sea is a nice temp. As far as seaweed goes, April is at the very beginning of the Sargassum Season. It could happen that you get a bunch, but much less likely than if you go June through September. Since the seaweed started around 2013 we’ve experienced full on Sargassum Armageddon twice, in June 2015 and August 2019. On those trips I got up before dawn and saved us great places at a pool somewhere. An we had great trips anyway.

    How many restaurants were open during your stay?

    • @papawgotagopro
      @papawgotagopro  Před 3 lety +5

      Only Los Corales and Frutos del Mar was closed. Because the resort was only 25-30% occupancy they were rotating the others, all not open every night. But we had no problem getting reservations.
      I am working on my next video on those a la carte experiences!

    Hi. When did you do that video?

  • @lesly1294
    @lesly1294 Před 3 lety

    Hi! Do you recommend making the reservations for the restaurants way before my stay? ALSO where do you make the reservations? Can I go online or call?

    • @papawgotagopro
      @papawgotagopro  Před 3 lety +1

      My best results have always come when I email them at info.akumal@bahia-principe.com.
      You have to wait until 5 or 6 days before arrival, no sooner because they will not yet have your information. Include your names, Name of Booking Company, Booking ID #, dates of arrival and departure.
      Do not make specific requests - like "Arlequin on Thursday at 20:00". Give a list of the ones you want and time range. I always say "All Between 18:30 to 20:30 Please". You might get a very non-commital reply, don't worry. But be patient, you have to wait.

    • @papawgotagopro

      Iguanas are everywhere at all resorts along the beaches in all of Mexico.

      Dos Equies. Mexican Viennese style lager. Very nice in the tropical heat.

    Am I crazy...some birds show up at 9:51 and then they disappear into thin air. Does anybody else see that? Ghost birds? Great video though!

      Magical Pelicans.
      It looks like that if you’re watching on a phone or tablet in low resolution mode. If you watch on a high resolution screen and set the video quality to see 4K they fly away like normal.
