    I was 17 yrs old. First time you could hear drums and backup singers and band at same time, instead of out of sink. It was a million dollar performance. I'm awash in memories of Elvis. He kept repeating to each of us as he was driven around the dome, shaking hands with us, "Thanks so much for coming to see me, thank you so much!". Humble, sincere, talented, and just awsome. Thanks for sharing this!

    If ELVIS were to perform today there wouldn't be a stadium large enough. I can't even imagine........ We would just all be blessed to watch and hear the video.

    I was 9 years old and I remember a billion flash bulbs going off and the loudest screaming I have ever heard in my life, and then the most beautiful singing voice ever. I also saw the 1970 show, Hoheinz Pavilion, and his last in Houston at the Summit. I miss him, no one can ever replace him

    I was at this concert. A man ran out to the stage. Cops cuffed him and took him away ! You just don't forget an event like this. I got to know James Burton in Shreveport, La. Super nice man. 😎👍

    I was there! I wasn't a big fan when it started, but by the end of the show, I was a HUGE fan! He was great. Not sure which show it was, but his jumpsuit had lots of fringe on it. It was a Saturday, but there were probably at least 2 shows that day. It was in the afternoon.

    It is a dam shame these shows weren't taped, I cry everytime I think about it. Madison Square Garden, You would had diffently thought they would had taped those shows. His one on December 31, 1976 at Pittsburgh is another great concert. Actually I think they should had taped them all. But who knows what's inside the vaults.

      A shitty band as Kiss had numerous 70's performances filmed professionally or semi professionally and this was done at the same venues that Elvis played. It's a frickin' shame so little live concert footage exists of the world's most famous entertainer. Colonel Parker is to blame.

    Dang I feel old...I was there at the Dome for the 1st show...I wish I would have filmed it....but never gave it a thought back then. Great show...I was up in balconies but could clearly see Elvis and his white jumpsuit. The sound wasn't that bad for the day...nothing like it was when I saw ZZ Top and the Rolling Stones there in 1981. ..different era...less power.

    The version of That’s allright, is from LV, with Ronnie Tutt on the drums. The drummer in February 1970, Houston Astrodome, was Bob Lanning. But of course you know that😀

    • @ElvisPresleyWorldwide
      @ElvisPresleyWorldwide  Před 6 lety +2

      Yeah, the first song was All Shook Up. Obviously I needed lots of introductory music for my video presentation, which, by the way, you made no mention of. You're right to give Lanning credit. Just like Tony Brown goes unnoticed in later concert years. That might make a good video actually. Elvis' second-string musicians. Thanks.

    I was there at age 14 with my Super 8 video camera. On the same video cartridge, I have Neil Armstrong stepping on the moon, live, as it happened, and Elvis, live, giving the most charismatic performance I've ever witnessed. He had the entire Astrodome wrapped around his finger. Any bids for the original cartridge?
