Have you read White Oleander? And Girl, Interrupted? Talk about unhinged! I love the variety in your TBR. I’m not a huge fan in romance, in fact it’s like the only genre I really won’t intentionally read. Otherwise, I appreciate the books you’ve shared! Also, have you read When We Were Bright and Beautiful?
I've read (and watched the movie repeatedly Girl Interrupted so GREAT). I've not read White Oleander or Bright & Beautiful but I've heard of them both. I'll check them out!! (I'm not a huge romance reader either but will lightly dabble in it lol)
This is my favorite genre 😂 I just finished Eileen by Moshfegh and I am waiting for Big Swiss and Bunny at the library.

Lisa i love that you seem to jump between genres... I am one of those people who if i find a bookcover "ugly"(well in my book😉)it ruins a lot of the joy reading it... So when i saw the cover of "Strange weather in Tokyo" i was drawn to it right away. Have you read "Crying in H mart" by Michelle Zauner or " The ghost bride" by Yangsze Choo? Warm hugs on its way🫂
Oooo I've heard of H-Mart, I'm going to make a note of that!! Tokyo is a wonderful story, I still think about it, I think I'm due for a re-read!! 🥰

what an AMAZING stack. I have read a fair amount of these, but have so many on my tbr. Bunny was my favorite read of 2022. I still think about it. I really should re-read it. I plan to read earthlings next month for a "weird book" theme so I can't wait.
I did have to soft DNF nightbitch for now because as someone who wants kids, but has some fears about it, those fears were getting louder 😂 it was very effective!

I read Penance by Kanae Minato. It was very good, and was my last book of 2022.
My favorite unhinged woman book is Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao, it's about the angriest girl in the world getting controll of a giant robot!

I'm really enjoying your videos and am glad to have come across your channel! One (gentle) recommendation would be to include more books written by people of colour - the books in this video are very white-centric for the most part, and as a viewer and a WOC, I try to make sure that the booktubers I subscribe to are reading and sharing diverse books.

well, what are some unhinged books written by women of color that you would recommend?
Read what you want to read! If I listed books there are not very many women of color because I don’t read just to be inclusive. With that being said my favorite writers include T. Morrison and I. Allende. I’m not saying don’t read diversely, just don’t do it out of obligation to any particular group. And please don’t create videos out of political correctness or inclusivity. If they want discussions about more women of color then go to another channel. I’ve never seen any of these books you posted today so thank you for broadening my reading list.
