if you know me, you know literary fiction by and about women - sad women, mad women, unhinged and angry women - is my jam. I thought i'd make you guys a reading list of some of my favourite 'sad girl books' as i've seen a lot of posts, reels and tiktok's about these types of books lately and i just had to share my own faves.

As Good as Dead (third book in The Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series) was so good. Female rage personified!

Oh, the rage and unhinged behaviour is both appropriate and justified. We love to see it 😎🤌 Got me intrigued about Milk Fed, I think there might be a Melissa Broder stan hidden in me somewhere waiting patiently (or sth) 😜 Read Eileen a couple of month ago, the atmosphere was palpable!! So well written imo. Some of these other ones I’ve still to get to though! Thanks for the run-through, girl 🙌😘
We have no choice but the Stan the unhinged 💅 would highly recommend the Eileen movie if you haven’t watched it. I think they adapted it so well! 🫶

Looooved Eileen, Nightb*tch, My Sister the Serial Killer and really enjoyed Luster and Diary of a Void. I am now putting Vladimir, Boy Parts, Motherthing and Bunny waaaaay higher up the TBR. I've been wanting to read Diary of a Void, but every time I go to get it at the shops, it is not available...driving me crazy! Ha
