- This is a quick taster of a static line skydive course I ran last week.
I know the students were buzzing at the end of the course as was I to have the privilege of introducing them to the sport.
PM me if you want to know more, or would like to give it a go. - Sport
Awesome video, I'm starting my course this weekend and am very nervous, but your video made me feel less nervous
Good luck. Just present into the relative airflow, arch and look up.
Awesome video, i did afew static line jumps years ago at langer, takes courage i am very proud
It sure does and so you should be as it takes bottle. , I'm not jumping this year and I am missing it
@@SEAFISHINGwithCJ Thankyou so much for your comment
I’ve done 2 tandems and do my static line in Feb and this makes me full of so much happy emotions and excitement of what’s to come. Thanks for sharing.😀🤙🏻
Get those knees in-da-breeze
@@SEAFISHINGwithCJ can’t wait!!😃🤙🏻🤙🏻
@aaronjones8096 it will be worth the wait, hope you get the jumps in Feb can be a bit sketchy in the UK.
How did it go ?
@@mightyeagle709 great thank you! I did 4 SL’s and now on AFF L3! not an hour goes by that I don’t stare at the clouds now! Your video was as awesome experience it for real as it looked! 😃🪂👊🏻
Thank you for sharing this video 😀 from a very proud (anxious) mum 👍👍👍 brilliant
Who's mum?
@@SEAFISHINGwithCJ Richard’s mum 😊
I've only done one staticline jump, but iam use to be a microlight pilot
some great footage chris niceone
Thanks
Fantastic
Thanks
Nice one Chris, but I think I'll keep both feet on the beach ! Evening session tonight at Shoreham to use up bait that the non existent fish didn't fancy yesterday 🤞🐟🐟
Shed loads of Mackerel and whitebait all along the southcoast this morning, must be some bass following surely.
I did a tandem skydive many years ago, but being a wearer of specs the soft goggles you had to wear was painful combined with glasses. Have long thought about a static line jump, but is this compatible with specs?
Normally you don't have to wear goggles for a static line jump, but you do if you wear specs. But the dz should have bigger goggles to wear over specs which aren't uncomfortable
Did they all get out of those line twists ?
Yes of course.
I was coming to comment the same thing. My first jump I had a lime twist and slow opening. But the way they are all exiting, it seems to create the line twist. (We hung from the wing)
Also want to say that the nervous girl did great arching for her first jump. I could sympathize with her because I love jumping but hate to fly!
I’m starting static line jumping in 2 weeks. Never done a tandem jump or anything before
Awesome, you will love it remember look up and arch.
Twists not a problem the shoot not opening is the problem lmao
The reserve not opening is the problem
And I thought Fishing and Amateur Radio were silly hobbies ... but chucking yourself out of an airplane...😲😲🤢🤢💩💩
😆
Wow, I thought that twisted lines is something you ideally want to avoid at all costs. By the looks of it they’re all spinning quite a bit. A little nerve wrecking to witness hahaha. Is it completely safe to twist the lines so much?
It happens, it's known as a nuisance. As it's easy to kick them out. 99% are a result of poor presentation on exit. But a small number just happen no matter how good your exit.
@@SEAFISHINGwithCJ Hmmm, that makes sense. I was thinking about the presentation when exiting. I'm new to this, and I've only done like 5 tandems because I just love it so much. I'm considering starting my AFF, but I'm also considering static line.
Is it specific to static line that you have to jump "sideways", meaning parallel with the plane? (facing the direction of flight)
Because on AFF and tandems they always seem to be jumping forward, meaning perpendicular to the direction of flight. I think this would greatly impact how stable you are when you jump. Thank you so much for taking the time and answering!
