The technique with the ponytail on the top of the forehead is from the book, "Haircutting for dummies". It has gone a bit viral on YT, but people forget to state the original source quite often. It is how I have trimmed my hair for years. My hair is tailbone length though, I do not recommend this for hair shorter than BSL or you will end up with 80s rocker hair. My hair is fine, but very thick (lots of hair).

This technique isn’t unsuitable for those of us with thin, fine hair. It just depends on the ponytail placement. If you put the ponytail at your crown and cut off just the tip of that tail you will get quite gentle layers. This placement is certainly fun for temporary color, though.

I like that style and pink fits you well! I'm interested if the Colorista really went out of your hair after 2 weeks. I heard from other people that it's often difficult to get these fasion colours out. What is your experience?
I've got a special fade-out shampoo from Colorista series and the color was gone after ~7-8 times I washed my hair. I've heard that pink shade is easier to wash out than blue and other darker shades, but I have never tried those yet.

Thanks! I let my hair dry naturally :) It's super straight just like that - no volume, no texture... So I need to use special products whenever I need to lift my roots.
