- How Life Can Change So Quickly....
On August 20th Yulian was diagnosed with rare squamous cell carcinoma of the tonsil which also spread to nearby lymph nodes. This shocking news has taken a huge toll on our family.
He is a loving husband and a devoted father to our 2 year old daughter Aria. Yulian is one of the most caring people you will meet. He always puts others first and does whatever it takes to help.
Now it is time for us to help him. Together we can help Yulian overcome this cancer battle. This fundraiser is to help with the medical expenses for the cancer treatment and surgery, to which the cost is currently unknown.
We know that this will be a difficult journey, but we will continue to stay positive. All of your prayers and support means so much!

This is sad news. Please stay positive! My thoughts and prayers are with you. I was a cancer patient at 19 years old, and was only given a 20% chance to live. With things changing all the time after a year of chemotopy my chances went up to 80% to live. I am now almost 56 years old and have been cancer free ever since. So stay positive. Live each day too the fullest as you can, and please keep us informed. You can do this! I will pray for you everyday till you get through this.

I am an oral cancer survivor. I’ve had nine surgeries over the last ten years and am currently undergoing radiation and chemo treatments. This is treatable. Please be sure that you are going to a certified cancer center. The Oral Cancer Foundation has a marvelous website with tons of information. This is a very treatable cancer. Stay strong, active for as long as you are able, eat good, whole foods to keep the weight up, rest, focus on all the good things in your life. I’m 63 and doing well. My husband , the love of my life , was diagnosed with stage 4 squamous small cell lung cancer . On March 19th the oncologist said 1 year to 18 months . Without treatment 3 to 6 months . My husband chose not to have treatment . He has not been sick and has had a great summer . He just celebrated his 58th birthday . Yesterday was 8 months . Praise God . He is in control and is the only one who numbers our days . Enjoy every minute . God bless you both .

We are praying for you both. My wife and I have been living this for sixteen years. Although we didn't get to go away sailing, we have been able to sail locally. In spite of the cancer we have been blessed, getting to see our kids grow to be fine adults and growing old together. The cancer remains, but God cares and takes care of us.

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. As a stage 3 cancer survivor for 4 years now (Lung & Neck). I went though double radiation treatment and chemotherapy for 9 months at City of Hope. The road will get hard near the end. But keep on top of your symptoms from the treatment. What it does to you the doctors have a remedy for just start them early and get ahead of it. But with a strong support system and the willingness to get up and go to treatment. The innovations that has been made for cancer treatment is amazing it has come a long way. My prayers are with you and your family. Also you'll find out how important your videos are to us that are sitting in a 6 to 7 hour chemotherapy session.

I am sorry to hear this, it is not a fun journey. While the treatments can be rather harsh and horrid, it is the emotional toll that I was not prepared for. I never thought that waiting for test results could be so stressful.
I will share one thing my oncologist told me that was some of the best advice I ever got. He said "when you receive a cancer diagnosis, a second opinion is never a bad idea. And when you have a rare cancer, you need a specialist." It really is beneficial to find that specialist that is laser focused on the cancer you have, wherever they may be.
Good luck with your battle, and don't be quite so worried about updating those of us on here, your time with family is the most important thing going forward.
And the money is not as big of a deal as you think it is, just make sure your oncologists office knows that money is a concern for you, and they will find the resources for you.

My brother who is 51 ..2 years ago had the same thing and did all you'll be doing and is cancer free. It wasn't mentally easy as cancer is the worst but allot of people survive this and carry on.

This is a tough one,my father died of cancer 2 months after he was diagnosed,he was 4 yrs older than I am today,I've gone through 2yrs of chemotherapy and radiation and surgeries,today I'm in remission,you are fortunate that you are able to ask people for money,in the end it's not the money,it's just luck so good luck

Hi guys, as a sailor I love your videos, also I am a 29 year cancer survivor, at the time I was given 50/50 chance to make it 5 years. Mine had also metastasized to the lymph nodes, had extensive radiation treatment. And here goes my 2 cents about it. It’s beatable, stay positive, get treatment in ahospital that is part of school of medicine, they have the latest and greatest treatments and surgeons.
You will have a full life, hang in there, try not to stress. There is life after cancer.
Stay Strong 💪!! You WILL LIVE!! It may be a difficult road... but, WOW, you guys are so STRONG. You have so many POSITIVE things in your life... CONTINUE your life between treatments... we ❤️ you so much! Your Journey will continue in a different way. Take it one day at a time. If the boat doesn’t sell... it wasn’t meant to be sold, stay positive ✨🙏❤️

You still do have a lot to look forward to in life my friend. My son was diagnosed when he was 4 and after 3 years of treatment he was 100% in remission. Now he’s 17 and a senior in high school. Modern medicine is so amazing.

Oh wow I just found your CZcams channel tonight and I’m speechless. Some great points you have brought up and I need to appreciate everything I have! I’ve been just going through life lately and waiting until my daughter graduates and take off traveling. My father had cancer as well and I truly believe it was caused from all the work he was doing on his old boat breathing in all the dust and fiberglass and chemicals. Although he wore a mask like you it still gets in your lungs if your not 100% protected all the time. Just my thoughts. May God bless you. 🙏

So sorry to hear this. Had an opportunity to give Julian a dinghy ride out to Alma in Vero. Your love of life exuded from every pore! Stay focused on each day, dont worry about tomorrow, just today. We just went through this in 2019 and back to sailing. We were at MDAnderson in Houston and would highly recommend it! Wherever you are, hold on to the positives and especially each other. Double cancer survivor here (testicular and the prostate later). Don’t be afraid to question your surgeon”# experience, like every other job profession, some know more than others. I would also suggest going to a cancer center like Sloan Kettering, or MD Anderson, because that’s an easy way to know your getting the newest and best treatment. And, don’t lose hope, you’re young and in good health and can survive very aggressive treatments. Good luck and I’m praying for you.
