Aww yeah, OS Giken is OG! I love the sound they make since it has a floater hub. Ogura Racing Clutch (ORC) is known for the samurai *schwing* sound.

I installed competition clutch twin plate on my mk4 with chaser r154. I love the clutch, just looking to switch to the hydraulic hub. I just dont like the fork method for release lol.
CC makes them in triple clutch however the one I have is still a prototype. I've had them rebuild it 3 years ago after I wore it out. Ever think of selling them as a cost effect alternative? They told me they're not manufacturing them as kits because there's not much demand :/

Great video Joel! I will be installing this exact setup next weekend. I would like to know if poor pedal adjustment could damage this bearing? My pedal adjustment was messed with multiple times trying to get the OS Giken movement alteration kit working properly. And now I'm concerned that I could damage the bearing if I put too much pressure in the bearing. Would be awesome if you could get into pedal adjustment on a video. Thanks for all you do for us! Can't wait to see project H pattern ripping shit up at WCF!
The only way you can damage it would be by overextending the bearing, which will blow out the seal. The way you make sure this doesn't happen is by installing a pedal stop, about 1/4" of pedal travel past where the clutch is releasing. OR you can adjust the pedal to about 1/4 or 1/2" off the floor... the floor can also be used as a "pedal stop"
Why do you use ARP vs the OS bolts?
Just a preference since I have good pricing on ARP products... they are readily available and less expensive as well
Were are you located at? I have an OSgken clutch now clutch been going to the floor i need someone to have it look im tell me whats wrong with it
So all those shims is what can make a multiplate clutch chatter when not engaged? I always thought it was the disks and gears bobbing around.
honestly the one thing that was sketch was the fact that you used a plastic alignment tool on a multiplate
I always use a billet tool, when this video was made I did not have one… but these OS Giken have a floating single hub, which has play… so it’s less critical than on a clutch where you have individual hubs on each disc
