  • In recognition of Juneteenth, please join the Women in Law Section’s immediate past Chair, Kimberly Wolf Price, for a fireside chat with Dr. John Coverdale, president of the Center for Workplace Solutions. They will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, a landmark civil rights law that prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin and also, among other things, bans segregation and discrimination in public accommodations, education, housing, and the workplace. Based on his thirty years of experience as a practitioner, consultant, professor, and researcher in the New York metro area, Dr. Coverdale will explain the Civil Rights Act’s impacts on the modern workplace, including its importance to organizational health and effectiveness.

Dr John Coverdale offers a personal, historical, and current view of the impact of the Civil Rights Act on US society that enables me to see its presence and extending need in my life and feel my own continuous desire to improve. I found this podcast to be a discussion by 2 different people sharing their insights to civility in the workplace with us a hopeful guide to embrace our neighbors. Robert J Manley
