    I tested CRV , RAV4 and CX5. Did not like the seats in CX5, uncomfortable and also the trunk is very small. The RAV4 was very loud at high speeds and did not like the hard suspension. Found CRV the best, quiet. Great seats and very nice suspension and a large trunk. Bought the new CRV. A new RAV4 is just as expensive as Honda in Germany.

    That’s an access panel on the interior side of the gas exterior door. The loop cable there is an emergency release for the exterior door for whatever reason it doesn’t unlock. There’s also a funnel included to fill the tank in case you run out and that funnel can be found in the spare tire well. Great video! Keep it up!

    I like the CRV, but in Canada, the only interior color we can get is black. The Rav4 has more choice for colors. My advice, try out both, I dont think there is a bad choice here. Im hearing hints that next year the turbo is only on base models, hybrids on all the others.

    Another well done review. Congrats on hitting 26k subscribers! It amazes me that Honda does not option in a heated steering wheel in this trim level. You can get one in a lower trim Forester. For most features I think the Hyundai Tucson is probably is the best for the price. Granted Honda has the better reputation for reliability. Hopefully all the problems with the 1.5L have been resolved. CRV is nice but I would rather get a Passport with the V6 if I bought a Honda. Pilot if I needed a third row.

    Disagree with your assessment of the hybrid about the refinement of the ICE coming on and shutting off. I’ve had the Sport Touring Hybird for a month now and that’s one of the reasons I chose the Honda vs the RAV4 hybrid! The hybrid is more powerful vs the non-hybrid CRV and gets better fuel economy yet is very refined and the E-CVT doesn’t drone vs other CVTs in the market!

    WTF is with tiny turbo engines? They literally get the same gas mileage as a bigger NA engine, but are more prone to problems so don’t last as long, aka actually worse for the environment overall.

  • @Anju876
    @Anju876 Před 3 měsíci +1

    Great review. I'm not sure why tf Honda put all the goodies into the hybrid. I just got the exl and its plenty fine exept for the power which is routed through a cvt transmission which just feels like a very long first gear, low power output plus a cvt u cant help but get smooth shifts. For the price Honda is asking they definitely couldve modified their 2.4 that they have from previous models or just just make the 2.0 turbo charged. Coming from Jeep im used to a bit more pick up when you press on the gas but you cant beat the ergonomics The crv just feels ridiculously spacious, doors open at 90 degrees, also the Honda peace of mind (that the thing will never leave you stranded like my wifes jeep did...twice). I guess the trade off for that engine is great gas mileage. I think Honda thought no one will be peeling out in a crv so they fore-went a larger engine but there are moments when you feel for a spirited drive and its a slight let down. For that you def would be better served putting it in sport. How the transmission holds up over time esp with the turbo, only time will tell. When you think close to $40k, and all youre getting is a 2 liter....Honda is definitely knows they could get away with murder so they did.

    Honda usually makes a good vehicle. I like the standard wheels. This would be a good little economy daily for someone. As I compare the features of the EX-L versus the Sport-L Hybrid, I'm feeling that the hybrid is not competitive in terms of price and value for the money. The Sport -L is about $2500 more for AWD than EX-L AWD. The hybrid only gets about 6-10 more MPG than the gas EX-L, but lease prices are about $46 less per month for the EX-L. I'm a strong hybrid advocate, but drilling down to the math on costs versus savings gives the advantage to the EX-L.

      The hybrid trims also don't come with a spare tire. I was set on getting the Sport-L or Sport Touring, but I think I will go with the EX-L AWD instead. It's not worth the risk to not have a spare and I can't justify taking up trunk space carrying around a big heavy spare inside the vehicle.

    I think Honda has some weird omissions lately. For instance, I have a 2023 Accord Hybrid Touring (top of the line) and there is no SiriusXM built in. Also that car doesn’t have the HomeLink garage door opener system. My 2018 Accord 1.5 Touring did. Apparently that can be purchased as an accessory but why isn’t it included?

    why don't they let you turn Off the idle auto engine shutoff, you have to select it manual each time you start the car, otherwise the engine keeps turning off at red lights & even stopping to back into a parking space; very annoying you can't keep it off, I would image it will wear out the starter much quicker not to mention the battery too
