For those who's looking for the name of the pic. That's Tra le spighe del grano, 1873. by Giuseppe De Nittis
Thank you
Thank you!
One of those paintings I wish I could be transported to the moment.
Thank you so much.
I remember when I was a teenager, not interested in classical music. One day I found at home an audio tape with this music, plus an other jewel (concerto for the left hand by Maurice Ravel). I decided to check it for 5 minutes. One hour later I was amazed, trapped, fascinated by these incredibly strong and creative musics, and this day was the start of a passion for Debussy and Ravel ..
Beautiful selection of Debussy. Thank you Halidon for featuring one of my recordings. All the best.

The painting and the flute and the cello in the first piece =love @ first sound & sight!
To anyone who needs to hear this, you ARE worth it. Don’t ever waste your life on what other people say or think. It’s valuable
@Andrew London Hey Andrew! Have you ever read the book "Don't Waste Your Life" by John Piper? It is pretty dense, but gives a glorious explanation of how to not waste your life! Glad you are picking up piano! It is beautiful to hear and fun to play!
Thank you. I needed that today.
@Andrew London I just listened to A Mother's Tears! It is obvious you have a natural knack for music! I have played piano for 12 years and it took me way long to get where you are. Keep it up!
@Andrew London Oh of course! Thank you for sharing both your thoughts and your music! If you get the chance, check out that book and let me know what you think! This conversation has been refreshing:D
@@littlecherokee8242 Thank you for the book reference.

Merci beaucoup Halidon. Chapeau.
At first I was like "wait this isn't piano let me..."
and then I was overwhelmed with beauty and peace. I don't know if they're arrangements or not, but it's beautiful. I love it.

Can someone with an understanding of music theory explain to me why it is that Debussy's music, and the music of other impressionists, so closely resembles modern soundtrack music?
Because Debussy is an artist of modern age
