Funny Joke, but not really - I have done my military duty in the Unit "FOG", means german naval staff for the baltic sea, 25 Years ago. The Search and Rescue Central was next door to the place i´ve worked and no one was acting like the men in this sketch. Everyone had to know the ACP 123 Delta, while sleeping or awake...

not really - though they have to learn it in school from 5th grade on. Copared with the Scandinavians we are not so perfect in english at all - but it works.
it is some what mandatory since they are surrounded by so many countries that speak different languages and dialects. America only have Mexico and French Canadians to deal with
