When The Beatles heard this masterpiece they realized they were hopelessly outclassed by the musical genius that is Shatner and decided to break up the band... DAMN YOU BILL!!!!!
I'm so giggly and happy after seeing this. Thanks! So many wonderful icons of my childhood blending together in a cosmic phantasmagoria of joy. Best of all is Fred Mertz' head blowing off :) :) :)
But on the same year "Lucy" made her first appearance on _Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band_ Desilu had ceased to exist (except for a few more months on TV), as it was purchased by Gulf + Western and merged into their year-old Paramount Pictures acquisition to form Paramount Television (Paramount did previously dabble in TV shows in the 1940s and 1950s).
Now this is just weird-I like how the other "Lucys" pop in. Now I suppose everyone knows that there would have been no original "Star Trek " if Lucille Ball had not thrown her weight around at the time.
I love William Shatner so much. He just improves everything. He takes a perfect circle and simply shows it how much more perfect a triangle is. Because He's William Freaking Shatner.
this is the best. i can't help but start to crack up every time i watch this. especially when he gets to "marmalade skies", and the eyebrows go up. unbelievable. i think john would've got a laugh out of this too!!!!
The Final Frontier ... No man has gone here before, that's for sure!!! ;-)) Brilliantly bad ... love it I'm hooked, I just can't stop playing this clip. How sad? ;-))
Visions of Fred Murtz's head exploding into a bouquet of flowers is going to make me wonder if my sofa is as happy in one corner as it is in an another and how does the room feel about it?..I worry about these things.
hahahaha! i don't think i stopped laughing throughout the whole thing. i had heard shatner's version before, but this made it infinitely better. good work.
When people complain about things being too "over the top" you can counter that they just aren't over the top enough.
This is probably one of the most well done, inventive videos I've ever seen. I love it.
Never thought I'd see Star Trek, The Beatles, I Love Lucy and Peanuts characters all in the same video! My life is complete now!
Epic. I almost died laughing when I first saw this. I want this played at my funeral.
You show me Peanuts, & now all I hear is "Lucy in the sky with Linus."
When The Beatles heard this masterpiece they realized they were hopelessly outclassed by the musical genius that is Shatner and decided to break up the band... DAMN YOU BILL!!!!!
This is an absolute trip.
