A comforting, hilarious show about friends, food, and fun. The characters are what made this show special.
Yeah, it’s been a while since there’s a very relaxing anime where the story is not tainted by conflict (aside from Fel & Sui’s hunting and combat) and almost no villainous human appeared.

the manga is still going
The manga is still going it's just taking a long time I think at least from my perspective but the series does has a light novel that is progressively much more further and I've enjoyed a lot of it I think currently the novel is going to be going to its 14th volume later on this year
Yeah, the anime ends at 100th chapter of the novel, manga's at 212th, and the novel has over 520 chapters so there's plenty of story

I dunno if anybody else caught this, but I realized when watching Mukoda cooking that the scenes look a lot smoother. It’s hard to catch but the way his hands move when it comes to preparing the ingredients looks smoother. I think that’s what I like most about this series and can’t wait for season two because of - outside the tasty looking food - more of those scenes and the dedication the animators made in making them look all the better!
they referenced real life chefs cooking all this wonderful food! if u go over to their official yt channel, they actually posted shorts of how they animated those cooks to the show itself

The fact that this is animated by the same studio that worked on jujutsu kaisen and chainsaw man makes it even better.
I pity the animators because they're already overworked as it is.
Thankfully Studio Ghilbi were helping them with the cooking animation.
Am I only the only one who thinks Fel is cute when he's happy eating or asking for more? It feels like I'm watching those puppy videos when I'm actually watching a 1000 year old legendary monster eat food lmao
Funny thing is, if he'd actually stayed with the heroes his skill would be helping them big time, this guy was basically their support class and they let him waltz right out.
Not to mention the food. It has already been established that the civillians and the adventures don't get to eat such extravagant meals because of the rarity of the ingredients. We can litterally see how the Heroes are eating... I don't know what the heck it is, but it's awfully disgusting. Mukoda here not only can buy already-made meals or ingredients, but also can cook by using any ingredients he gets his hands on. They don't know what they're missing 😂
@@JairoLeyn100to add on, it would have been food theyre all relatively familiar with, so they wouldnt have to worry a lot about the kind of food they have to eat like how mukoda does sometimes, they couldve had nice home cooked meals and instead let him leave and even made fun of him a little

I like how relatable it is, this is pretty much how we'd cook/eat when we're coming back from work/study or anything related, just simple and easy home cooking, nothing exotic (though I'm not sure about the ingredients in the anime itself 😂)
They ARE exotic, but they're close enough to pork, chicken, or beef to not be considered exotic

Yes the Fenrir is stronger but why do u need a strong companion if ur goal is to travel the world and NOT fully spending ur time to become a famed adventurer? Why he need strong companion? It's not like he want to go fight the demon lord, no? Again the mc still prefer to live a normal life but bc his pets is rare species he keep getting glares from people and that made him uncomfortable. You just gotta think hard enough. He can survive by himself. You think he can't get meat bc killing monster is out of his boundary? Uhh helo? What's his skill again?

And no, he can't survive by himself, he literally has a shield on him 24/7 because he quite literally will die if he takes a single hit. Every fight he's got into has resulted in Fel and Sui needing to step in, even against weak enemies.
Mukoda/Fel/Sui's system is the only way keeping him alive, and the manga author has already explained how every other route would have ended in disaster.
Besides, people being impressed by you having a god as a pet is much better than the world learning anything you cook is OP.
I am the only who doesn’t really like Fell that much? Like I feel that I would’ve enjoyed the anime just as much as if he wasn’t there and Makoto was trying to open a restaurant/ tavern

Somehow I believed that Mukoda must've been a chef back from Japan. How else would you explain his cooking skills?
He may have also helped his relatives in the kitchen a lot as a kid and teenager, learning how to cook from them. Or maybe he was in a cooking club at high school.
You're not that far from the truth, actually. In the light novel the manga and anime were based off of, Mukoda has actually worked in multiple restaurants, part-time but he's learned a lot from the different restaurants he's worked in.
Seasonings can be purchased at any supermarket in Japan. In Japan, these dishes are made at ordinary homes. Of course, there are also professional shops.
