- In this video I attempt to make the most overpowered swordsman in kenshi, playing in a bandit swordsman style.
This video is part of a small "universe" where I will create a team of overpowered characters who have the same goal of becoming the strongest characters in the Kenshi universe.

Kenshi is a free-roaming squad based RPG focusing on open-ended sandbox gameplay features rather than a linear story. Be a trader, a thief, a rebel, a warlord, an adventurer, a farmer, a slave, or just food for the cannibals.
Research new equipment and craft new gear. Purchase and upgrade your own buildings to use as safe fortified havens when things go bad, or use them to start up a business. Aid or oppose the various factions in the world while striving for the strength and wealth necessary to simply survive in the harsh desert. Train your men up from puny victims to master warriors. Carry your wounded squad mates to safety and get them all home alive.
Freeform gameplay in a seamless game world in the largest single-player RPG world since Daggerfall, stretching over 870 square kilometers. The game will never seek to limit you or restrict your personal play style.
Custom design as many characters as you want and build up a whole squad to fight for you. Characters will grow and become stronger with experience, not just in their stats but their appearance too.
Build a base where you can research new technologies, upgrade your defences and craft new gear.
Original take on the RTS-RPG hybrid genre. No "hero" characters with artificially stronger stats than everybody else- Every character and NPC you meet is potentially an equal, and has a name, a life.
You are not the chosen one. You're not great and powerful. You don't have more 'hitpoints' than everyone else. You are not the center of the universe, and you are not special. Unless you work for it.

Simo capturing Kermit to fight him for level up reminds me of Hunter X Hunter Greed Island where Bisky captured the Barber Killer to fight Gon and Killua to level them up.

hey simo, here's a tip for training: if you want to train even faster give yourself and your opponent items that give you a higher combat speed modifier, the katana also has higher attack speed so kermit was able to get more attacks in hence why you had more defense (since you blocked/took more hits) and kermit more attack (since he attacked more)
this was one of the most entertaining videos I've seen in a while. I've heard about Kenshi but didn't know you could play things out like this.

My first game the best money making and training strats i found were walking up and down the mountains I think near the religious mobs slave camp where they're building the statue. There's robots walking up and down there, I would sneak and knock them out and take them back for the bounty plus they always had a big sword to sell.
Next I set up an outpost in the fog Islands. Getting the prince head trophies was very lucrative, aswel as being able to train skills vs large groups of fairly weak enemies. Another positive was letting your dudes get put on sacrifice poles and eaten by them was a fantastic way to safely loose limbs when you get good prosthetics you want to put on.
I just started playing Kenshi and loving it. What mods are you using btw? would like to try them out in my next playthrough!

Hey I wanna make a suggestion for a character. Don't know if you've done this before simo but it would be interesting to see you play a good guy, sort of a defender of the weak or like a noble knight sort of dude that punishes the wicked but patches them up so they hopefully learn the error of their ways.

I was going to ask what mods you are using because currently I am new to the game and using only Nice Map, Flies Aren't Annoying Anymore, and Dark UI. And holy cow, you are using a ton of mods! Is it safe to use that many? Does it break the game or cause lower FPS?

I like the idea of king being a duel wielder of Katana and Saber type weapons, which actually made me realize that if you switch weapons during battle that mechanic could be used to always be ready for any type of opponent. It also makes me really want duel wielding in Kenshi 2.

Starting over again the first initial struggle is honestly the fun of kenshi. The late game micromanagement is awful and makes me constantly quit and start over so I don't blame you lmao.
