@@kwarmz1061 I you don't mind me offering a tip, a good way to start the game is to head to the Hiver village from where you spawn, it's west-north-west of the starter town. Make a sleeping bag and fire. Then run around the lake (it's acidic) and wait for the gorilla and dinosaur monsters to attack and join in with the hivers in killing it. You'll get meat and skins which you can cook/sell for easy cash to buy stuff and you can sleep to regain health. Not the most exciting thing but it's a great way to get yourself going.

Fun Fact: You can actually do this in game, by overthrowing the Holy Nation, A Group of Hivers who don't accept humans will then take place of the Holy Nation, they called the Fogmen.
they aren't just hivers that "don't accept humans". They're a bunch of queenless schizoids who literally reeee all day and eat people.
Calling the Fogmen "hivers that don't accept human" is a bit of an understatement. They're moreso rabid feral hivers that eat people.
So... like the hivers in the video. Just less organized.
What happens if you overthrow the Fogmen

Nobody moves in to stay and it just becomes overrun with roaming hostile NPCs, pretty much.
@@ladywaffle2210 Fogmen don't get overthrown, they are basically game enders as some areas default to Fogmen if you wipe out the local faction
imagine if kenshi had a co-op/multiplayer and someone is just getting their first home set up and sees 250+ hivers run past them with names like "meat biscuit"

And, lastly, have you ever watched buck rodgers? If you start recruiting fogmen into your army you can't really claim to be caught by surprise when you end up in a peeler machine

Yup, i trained for weeks carrying backpacks full of rocks to build up strength and when i thought that i was ready, a few hits knocked me unconscious due to my toughness being so low lvl, so part of leveling in kenshi is just to get beat up :D

The twist of the massive wall around the city that no one noticed was really something

They were simply being constantly reassured it was a defense wall to keep the non-human scum out more securely.
This version of Mandalores split personality when he is off his medicine sure is interesting.
I can't even imagine how long this video took to make, not to mention how ingenious that food smuggling plan was. You deserve this sub and more

The entirerty of the video was hilarious but the reveal of the wall around blister hill just made me explode in laughter. Amazing job man, that was a great journey
I love that this video very proudly contains a rough guide on how to launder ‘food’ from one illegitimate source to another, by washing it through a series of legitimate and hard to trace business transactions, then firebombing the final business to wipe away any trace

A year ago I watched this video before leaving for a week long trip, decided to watch it again today before I leave for that same trip. Great rewatchability
It’s killing me how many similarities Motumbo has with heroes from antiquity:
1. Described as being of humble beginnings but with great ambition (Basil the first)
3. Faithful first follower (Alexander the Great and his Companions)
2. Founds a new state (Romulus+Remus, Cadmus)
3. Resorts to the same kinds of cruelty as his enemies (Vercingetorix, Moses)
4. Ironic death (Achilles)
The order of this threw me for a loop
The first three apply to Liu Bei
Ancient classics are classics for a fucking reason. They had it all figured out before us

Fun thing you can do with the recruit prisoners mod: set up a "dojo" where you kidnap prisoners and release them occasionally to fight your followers hand-to-hand. If they get good, recruit them. By doing this cleverly, you can get a secret force of insanely good martial artists that get well past that point where martial arts go from horrible to amazing. Also by just defending as new prisoners try to hit you, you can get some crazy toughness (and just carry loads around for strength).
It's not actually the most efficient way to do this, but it has RP value and is safer for the character. The main issue is balancing the prisoners' toughness so your high-level guys don't rip off their limbs, so you'll need some high level prisoners until you are read to unleash your horde. I've gotten guys pretty readily that can beat a handful of beak things by themselves with martial arts and stats in the 80s and 90s.
This is one of my favorite things to do in Kenshi, I download training weapons and stage gladiator fights, I put the Phoenix into the ring for a time in one playthrough, sucker is tough.

I don't know anything about this game, never played it, but this video was great. Amazinly done, both humour and editing wise. Really impressed, especially as this was recommended and I didn't look at the subs before - very surprising for 20k subs. Keep going man I really enjoyed it! :)
