    You have to appreciate every bike for what it is rather than comparing apples with oranges

    I love the big Harley cruisers...
    The feel of that single pin crank engine is what I like.... I fell in love with the engine when I rode my first Harley.

      In the cruiser world, there's nothing like a Harley. The Japanese clones are good bikes but they can't match the feel and sound. I love all kinds of motorcycles but I'll always have at least one Harley. It never gets old pouring on the big, lumpy Vtwin power.

    Had a HD Road King and then a Road Glide. Wonderful cruisers on the Interstate and secondary roads and I enjoyed riding them as much as my other bikes. Had to respect the modest lean angle envelope (compared with my non-bagger bikes) in the twistys because grounding those pipes and floor boards in a decreasing radius curve would make you change your underwear. Always rode with my regular gear- 'stitch, full face helmet, boots and gloves- never the "pirate look" gear.

    I just love my 2006 Deluxe. I put higher lift cams and it pulls nicely for an 88 CI. What surprised me the first time I got on it is how much torque it had unlike my Vulcan 1500. It felt like a horse wanting to break down the stable door. It puts a smile on my face every time I get on it. It has 64000 miles on it and is very reliable and well balanced. Stay ahead of the maintenance curve and a Harley is a forever bike with so many upgrades availalbe.

    I've got a few bikes, one of them being a Sportster. Its not at all a fast bike, a comfortable bike, or an amazing handler. BUT, it sure is a fun bike to ride! Alot like an old muscle car is the best way to describe the feel. Im also not a die hard Harley fanboy, but something about the family feel at any events the dealers put on or meeting with most other Harley riders is not something ive seen from any other brand.

    Motorcyclists can respect other segments. Even if it is not their own preference. Who(in the club)is not going to feel the joy coming off a rider whom is enjoying their ride? I am not a bagger guy, but I certainly respect those that ride them. Probably about the only ones that I don't respect are the crotch rocket riders and anyone else that lane splits and in general gives the rest of us a bad image. Motorbiking should not be disrespectful to other motorists. All that being said, I would rather be driving that Mustang you went to the house in right now. lol

    Look good on it Mr! Actually aside from the paint & noticeable siren, looks moderately similar to my new HD Police Edition Road King, sorta Ish😂 Personally, I've never had quality or reliability issues with the HD's I've owned. But I've never had old bikes from them either. I'm also dgaf what the Jones's are doing. Life is way to short for BlaBeige & having what everyone else has. Not for me. My guys still tease me for not following, so might need to find a reason to go through the quaint town of Layfatte, once back in Sept. So if you see a Police Edition Harley say howdy 😂

    You think that’s a big bike try riding an ultra limited or road glide limited with an extra 100-125 lbs in parts alone.

    a Goldwing is better in every way. Cheaper, lighter, faster, more reliable, more comfortable, more nimble, more storage.

    • @Friscorockhead
      @Friscorockhead Před rokem +2

      That might all be true, but then you're riding a Goldwing. I mean, I love Goldwings, but they aren't exactly cool. Sometimes its not always about who wins the specsheet battle. The feel of the bike matters to a lot of people.

    • @viperq
      @viperq Před rokem

    • @Friscorockhead
      @Friscorockhead Před rokem

      @@JollyGiant19 I mean, it's all subjective and up to personal preference. I love that south park episode, but it's generalizing a lot. That just not true that everyone feels that way about Harleys. There's tons of young guys doing awesome stuff on Harleys. Way more of a custom build scene, there's the huge Harley stunt riding scene, and they have real racing pedigree. Again, it's subjective, but I think most people would say Harleys are cooler than Goldwings. I love goldwings but they're way more of a dad bike than Harleys.

    0:39 Yes, the problem is they are mechanically unreliable leaky PoS. And you didn't help the case by stating the finish and chromework looks nice.

      I have a 2006 Softail Deluxe that has 64000 miles on it. I did a top end refresh while upgrading the cams and it pulls really nice. No issues other than a small leak at the shift lever. I find it very reliable. I've put 50000 miles on it myself and never ever had a break down. I've ridden a honda shadow 750 and a kawi 1500 vulcan classic and this bike just feels nice with very little plastic. It puts a smile on my face every time I get on it.
