My tello went flat while I was flying it about 20 to 30 metres out off shore. I know it will hover for a period of time above land before does touch down. I tried to run to save it but wasn't quick enough. I'm only 15 so it wasn't exactly cheap for me to buy and I'm absolutely devastated. And I only had it about 2 days.

i think if you fly with prop guards, it would be hard to balance in the strong wind..... Also, it'll be fine when you touch the spinning props, because tello's props ain't as sharp as other models'.
Frank Lee thanks for your comments but you should not fly the Tello on the strong wind specially on the water but you can fly less wind with the prop guards😎👍

Any updates about active track mode coming to ryze tello?
Go in settings and select from SLOW to FAST
ACTIVE TRACK NOT SPEED
There is now a app named tellome and there is active track mode. Not the best but it works

Check the new TelloMe software that’s just out...rudimentary active tracking....not great but functional
AJ, i saw in a different video, a guy was trying out his Tello above snow, and it was drifting away... he kept saying "It's the wind, and it's not stable..." you think maybe the snow has the same effect on its sensors as the water? thanks! Mabuhay!
Jonathan Paul no it does not the tello can read the snow it’s just the clear
I tried it above snow, too! Had the same problem. The drone was trying hardly to drift away and I almost crashed it!

I tell everyone this but practice flying inside in the dark or with a taped sensor before you try flying a tello over water, in the wind or off a balcony

The Tello isn’t designed to go over water because it doesn’t have GPS it has vision positioning and that’s it so be careful

DSantraX No not really with the track mod or follow me yet everything was manual but eventually Tello Ryze is going to come out with the new update soon that comes with the active track features👍
How to perform rth even if the battery is there around 10 percent...coz that's the critical battery level we can set on tello...cozz no matter what it's gonna land automatically..I want to use that 10 percent to move it and land it safely..

All this information is in your manual. Read the manual. It’s a limited set of tli info for a relatively very small computer.

This is because the tello drone uses cameras instead of gps to see where its located and since the pool is clear it cant track the pool so it cant stay in one spot

Last night with a night flight I noticed my spark tried to land mid air amd it almost stopped the motors when I activated RTH, the gps is accurate (enough) but it doesn't sense the ground, this can be catastrophic and make the drone fall from the sky thinking its on the ground since the motors stop(plus when I descended it would go extremely slow), I stopped the landing just in time amd learmed a valuable lesson, VisualLineOfSight is ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY at night (you should watch your drone regardless though)

It isn't going into the water because that was over the edge of the pool which has water depth of say 3cm. Tello's IR sensor can still see the bottom and stop before the water. Should tello come from above to the deeper part of the pool it will dive into the water. Man I hope people won't get misguided by your video and sink their tello... Stop telling people tello will avoid water landing! Also my tello is not confused by ripples caused by it.
You don’t know that if a connection goes out tello will hover above the land and it have sensors that stops it from going in water or landing on uneven land and it’s sensors automatically push the drone to a plain surface so that if the battery goes out the drone will fall on a safe place

Thanks for your comments! If you crash Tello or submerge on the water.All you have to do is dry it use a air blower!! And let it sit for an hour! And then it should definitely fly again!🤪👍

Tello don't have active track dude. it just can track itself on the hovering surface that why it is stable and when it is on water or a same color and same material surface sometime it is not stable and it will move around to find a better place (the tello sensor and processor think like that) and again tello don't have active track on moving object yet.

IT IS NOT MADE BY DJI! It is a Ryze drone, with some hardware from DJI, but it is a Ryze drone.
Archman 155 ryze is owned by DJI I think
