  • The hydraulic hoses to the extendahoe lift cylinder is leaking badly. I watched some of the CZcams videos and none of them really told much of the story. I noticed guys taking everything apart that did not look like it needed to be apart and I also see these guys using other heavy equipment to lift and assemble. I don't have access to heavy equipment so I need to figure out how to do this project with hand tools and all by myself.
I was successful but I did need an extra set of hands to finish up. Check it out...

I've got a 580SE and like how you made this look relatively easy. I've had to replace some pins on the hoe and none of it was easy. Nice work. And that ground looks very much like mine, half rock. Those guys who dig in nice clean dirt don't know what they're missing. lol

Glad it helped. I love your comment about the rocks, so true. I have several areas that I want to cover with dirt but I can't. I am on almost 2 acres of land and almost no usable dirt can be moved. Just thin coat of top soil and pine needles. I hate buying soil. Delivery way up the mountain cost a fortune and the 2 bridges will not handle a large dump truck.

@@riderescue I have eleven acres and have found patches where the top 6 inches are almost rock free. I run the front bucket across them in skim mode to harvest what's there. When that's gone I may bite the bullet and buy / build a screen.

@@denjhill I have wanted to build a screen as well. Half of my property needs to be leveled and moving all the rocks is a nightmare. I skim and the rocks just roll along like ball bearings. I did finally get a driveway built through the upper lot but it took 8 hours to do what should have been one hour. Then I had to find a place for all the rocks. Once I get back to the edge of the lot , it follows the river and I can deposit all the rocks on the river bends.

Thank you for the video, I really loved it. I have a case 580 SE that has no brakes and a horrible looking dash. I really appreciate your working through my similar issues.

How much did you expense on parts?

So far I have not needed much more just than hoses. I go to a place in Salt Lake City called House of hose to have my hoses made with the correct connectors. I have spent around $30 to $100 for each hose.

I bought a 1966, case Ck 530 180 Diesel Backhoe which is going to be helpful on THE FARM and I bought a 1973, FORD F-700 5- ton Dump truck. the reason why I bought all of this heavy Equipement is because I've got natural gravel and sand banks that I want to dig and haul and stock pile.🙏

Sounds like a great plan. I have been able to get more done on the property, in a short amount of time, than I ever expected. Have fun and be safe.
