Can A $300 IV Drip Therapy Cure A Common Cold?

  • IV Drip hydration is commonly used and well known for curing hangovers. If it can help a hangover, can it help a common cold? I put it to the test as I desperately wanted my sickness to go away.
    THIS VIDEO IS NOT SPONSORED. I paid for the IV drip with my own money, all opinions are my own.
    this the company I used: driphydration.com/
    MY FINAL THOUGHTS -
    It definitely DID help my cold. I instantly felt the effects of the IV hydration as my nose cleared up and my sneezing/itchy throat went away. The effects lasted through out the rest of the day and onto the next, and I was completely over the cold within the next 24 hours. This could be a good option for you if your feeling under the weather and need to travel/work on things without being slowed down. Would you spend the $300 on this?

    I'm not mad at Monica or anybody who gets this, but I'm mad at like...society for the fact that there are people literally dying because they don't have access to medical treatment, but rich people can get a nurse to come to their door and give them an IV every time they have a hangover.

      And I get you wanna feel better everyone does when they're sick.. but I can't imagine blowing $300 just to feel better a few days earlier? Maybe it's because I don't have that extra $300. And maybe if I was sick for a month or monthsss it would be worth it but the fact that some people can't handle having a cold for a couple days is just?????? Crazy

    Yes! I would pay $300 for it. I had the flu and bronchitis during the holidays, and I'm still having a lot of congestion. I'm trying to find somewhere here in Colorado Springs that does Drip Therapy. I'd never heard of it before, but it sounds fantastic. Thanks for sharing this with us.

      Britt Verslegers how could it be a placebo if she didn't think it was going to work in the first place? And it genuinely got rid of all her sinus congestion? You don't just get rid of sinus congestion from a placebo, lol

    • @brittverslegers7895
      @brittverslegers7895 Před 6 lety +2

      Don't get me wrong, placebo does work! It is a process of the body healing itself when it feels it is 'safe'. It is even true that the more expensive the medication or treatment, the bigger the placebo effect. Saline is used as a placebo in all kinds of research. This is just a great example of how big of an effect it can have, I am amazed by it, really cool :).

    • @WednesdayWrath
      @WednesdayWrath Před 6 lety +1

      Also, if something is a placebo but you think you feel better then you are better. It's a really cool thing to show the way that the mind and the body works together. I mean, if you do a placebo and it works then why not? I mean..

    Also just FYI there are places that do it for less than $300! I was visiting LA recently and got really sick so I decided to try it and I think I paid around $170. Still an obscene amount to spend regularly of course, but as a last resort type of thing when you're feeling horrible and need to feel better quickly, it can be REALLY helpful.

    I have to get IV meds for my immune system every other week and they give Benadryl through the IV as a pre-med so I don't have an allergic reaction. The SECOND the put the benadryl in that line my nasal passages open up even if I wasn't sick and I fall straight to sleep and wake up feeling like a brand new person.

    About 6 months ago I had to have a craniotomy, and the incision got infected while I was in the hospital. I had to get a picc line and had IV antibiotics Avery 8 hours for 6 weeks. The one medicine had to be cold and I would feel chilled all through my arm and chest, and all of the fluids were making me very dizzy. I just would not want to be reminded by that at all, but it’s super interesting!
