- we had another guinea pig emergency vet visit today and unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Lulu. She had two tumors, one in her bladder and one in her urethra :(

I wonder if Lulu waited till she knew the heard would be ok with new friends. She was amazing and beautiful. We are lucky to have known her and she had a lovely life. We will miss her but her life was happy and life has to end for everyone sadly. I'm so sorry that having these sweet friends means this pain many times.

I've been following you long enough now that your herd has been completely turned over to new piggies. You do so much for all of us by sharing both the good and the sad. Letting us share in your grief a bit lets us say goodbye along with you. You give such safety and care to all your friends, and they all so clearly live the best lives they can.

So sorry for your loss. I recently lost two piggies in about 1,5 months time. It is rough. I now have two new baby piggies to keep my older piggy company, and they are a hoot. It still hurts, but with them around it hurts a little less...
Hi, Julia. Such bad news but you know you did the right thing for her. For me, Lulu's greatest hit was when she was jumping through those hoops just for the sheer fun of it!
Remember the good times and never forget that you, your husband and your mother gave Lulu a great and happy life ( in spite of a few dubious haircuts).

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my entire herd recently. In the span of about a month I went from having 8 healthy piggies to none. My vet thinks it may have been some kind of bacterial infection that just spread really rapidly, and because they hide being sick until they're SO sick, by the time I realized there was a serious problem it was too late. Piggies are just so very fragile.
I admit it took me a long time to warm up to Lulu, but she stole my heart. A very pretty pig. So sad to see her go so soon after Gatsby and Nugget. I hope Lumi stays healthy for a long time as I know she's the old lady now. So very sorry for your loss, Julia. You are a great pig mom.

Oh no, Lulu! She has been my favourite ever since Max's passing... So pretty, but with a funny attitude. I remember in particular the video where you taught the pigs to jump through hoops and Lulu participating so much and doing very well was such a nice surprise, I loved that one.

I feel your pain. Had to let go of one of my pigs today. I thought it would get easier with age and the more times it happened. But no, it does not. I have 2 girls left and I’m really considering to not get a new piggy. I will keep my girls, but no more. It’s one thing after the other. Eventhough I really love them 😢

After Nugget I died inside and then Lulu became my favorite! I felt like a truck hit me when i saw this and Nuggets farewell, Lulu had a beautifully fun and adventurous life! Oh dear, I'm so sorry. My heart broke when I saw the title of your video. You've had a rough few months. Rest in peace sweet baby girl. Take comfort knowing you gave her the best life a little piggie could ever ask for. We lost 2 senior rabbits and 2 senior piggies within a 6 month period in 2023...2 of them within 3 weeks of each other. It broke our hearts to have to let them go but they were all very ill with no chance of recovering. We miss the little buggers so much. There are going to be a LOT of little furry butts waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for us.

Aarrgh, another one so soon? I’m so sorry, it’s a hard thing to lose them one after the other. Same with us with our parakeets. Always feels like you haven’t had time to mourn the last one before you lose another and it feels like the whole family is gone. We all know that it DOES get better, but still.

I'm sorry for your loss. Lossing anyone like that is always devastating. I've only had my Guinea Pigs for close to a year, and I would be very depressed if anything like that happened to them.
