Thanks a lot, my GPU wasn't showing in Device Manager, I right-clicked on 'Display adapters' and clicked on 'scan for hardware changes'. Then the Microsoft display adapter came and I copied the hardware id of it and pasted it in the file as shown in the video. It worked :)

Guys if you are one of those guys who tried all steps in the videos but still doesnt work use this method :
Get the latest windows updates from settings .. at somepoint during downloading windows will automatically detect and install nvidia drivers for you
It works for me and i recommend you guys to do the same

You can get this to work. First install your GPU driver from your manufacturer website (which will be outdated) then do this method. Works 100%. I just tried.
Dude install driver booster and go from there its probably going to install a Basic version then u do this when u go search for the latest driver
This is failing for me on an 820m. I get past the system check, license agreement, and options sections. However, I get a Nvidia installer failed on the install section. I’d very much appreciate it if anyone has run into the same and has a fix.

@@lucianolizana446 I actually did! I have to reinstall drivers after a restart usually though. You need a program called NvCleanstall to modify your drivers. I learned about it from this video here: czcams.com/video/ERmBhCsPPMA/video.html at about 10:00.
