I can't help feeling sorry for USG. Top of the table after the 34 game home and away stage. Then some stupid system with play offs, losing half of those points and missing out on the title. Once you've played everyone home and away that should be enough to be declared champions.
The team can win playoffs too if they were good enough
@@Podgorski37 🤣👍
@@Podgorski37 league title should never be rely on playoffs
Yes, I was disgusted when I learned this.
Play-off-system...*ugh*
@@randomriku6774 again, if the teams are good enough they should have no jssue in playoffs. Happened also in my local Australian league, the team finished 1st and awarded the league trophy, then got beat by the team in 2nd* in the Top 6 playoffs for another trophy, shows the team in 1st aren't really the best then
Special shoutout to FC Zurich who ended the Basel Young Boys duopoly in Switzerland
And the crazy last two rounds in the challenge league
Thankz for this info
So happy for Eriksen. I wish him health, long life and great things in his career
Hazard and Bale got a league medal and a UCL medal by doing nothing.
That’s like almost every team you know? This is literally nothing new in football lol
There’s always the bench players who win titles if they are in squad declared
The disrespect to Bale
Jokes on you hazard HAS the honor of saying he’s “won” the UCL lmao
@@devvynneo6486 yeah, but don’t act like every bench player is Eden Hazard and Gareth freaking Bale lmao
@@TWOMUFC i am a liverpool fan. Although sometimes bale pisses me off(cuz of that final goal) but honestly he doesn't deserve the hate from some Real Madrid fans. He is a top class player and is 100% a legend of the club.
To outsiders it may seem a surprise, but as a rossonero I knew we have best chance to win it in a loooong time.
Juve and inter lost their stars and couldn't replace well. We lost gigio but got even better Mike. Only team stopping us was Napoli who got oshimen injured. We didn't have best squad on paper but we had best squad on field. Forza Milan 🔴⚫
at least , both Inter clubs are winning instead of Juventus.
hopefully this rivalry will grow to even greater height this oncoming season!
Forza INTER 🔵⚫
I support Milan as well, and I agree the season started with very good signs for Milan, as they kept the great form from the end of previous season and looked less weakened by summer outgoings than rival teams. But to be fair, there were some patches of not-so-great form, and it ended up being far closer than it seemed at the beginning of the season. Inter, Napoli and Juve all dropped many points throughout, but Milan dropped a few key points as well, and Inter in particular kept the competition going till the last moment. A season to celebrate, certainly, but the team needs to keep improving, as both Inter and Juve look set to strengthen their squads this summer.
I trust maldini with transfers as much as I trusted him with defence. Our right side needs strengthening as we are predictable with only attacking from left. Tonali should be able to cover holes left by Kessie but we may need a physical def mid.
Same story as Leicester win their EPL.
Every big team struggle to find his best form, and they capitalized it very well.
I agree but Inter's concistency and game especially got bad in second half of the session. Milan on the other had got there game solid in all matches and that is why they won the title.
Very aesthetically pleasing and nostalgic artwork in this video. 10/10
It feels like you've just come into this alternate reality and this guy is explaining how things have gone here
What do you mean the biggest shock was the woman Lyon side beating barcalona to win the champion league?
Lyon has won 6 champion leagues in the last 7 years
😤 Obviously, someone does not follow the women's game!! Barcelona's domestic season is not competitive.
The match might have been closer if Leila was in at LB instead of a forward playing. The first goal was scored because of Barca's poor defensive play and star gazing.
@@charlesray9674 No one follows the womens game because it’s bad football mate.
@@charlesray9674 sounds like you’re agreeing with me lol. Barcelona domestic season is not competitive. So why was Lyon winning a shock?
Unless you was replying to someone else and they deleted there message
He means the guy posting the video isn't following women's football. Not that I give a toss about it, can't be bothered either way. Watched a match and it was horrendous, U14 men's level
@@Caspar2323 Yes, I do agree. Lyon losing to PSG last year in the QF was a shock. I think Barce is winless against Lyon. With the collapse of Rayo Vallecano and Atlético's inconsistencies along with Granadilla, the Spanish league doesn't provide competitive matches.
Great video, keen to see a breakdown of the north and south American leagues as well as Asia.
Unless it's for research purposes for next season's accas, why?
South America is enough

@@shaikaftab1199 do you even watch the PL?
oh wow, a whole second dedicated to italy. thanks for including them
Cry.
Surely he could have talked about Salernitana’s relegation survival, or Berlusconi and Galliani’s Monza being promoted to the Serie A for the first time.
@@nehme1499 He didn't talk about promotion/relegation for majority of the leagues he covered. Think he only did that for the EPL and Bundesliga. But I agree with you.
1461 was the year Ottomans captured the city from the Komnenos dynasty. 1461 Trabzonspor was a pilot club to Trabzonspor few years ago and now changed it's name after they broke their affiliation. Now the year has no relevance to the club.
Just a minor correction: the Barcelona women's team were not undefeated when they faced Lyon - they lost their previous Champions League match 2-0 against Wolfsburg (but advanced on aggregate).
Otherwise great summary.
Teacher's Pet😂
But you're quite correct
@@coachhbosoccer and ur the guy who failed each class?
I think they said undefeated in the domestic league with 30 out of 30 wins in La Liga.
Love a nice chill cup-a-tea summary of what was a rollercoaster season
I like that.. "cuppa tea summary". May I use that in my monthly reports?!
The Belgian top flight is very odd. USG were 5 points clear after playing everyone twice which would be enough to win the league in neighbouring Germany and the Netherlands (all play a 34 game regular season). Then they go into play offs and end up losing it. Is this some sort of format drawn up to protect big clubs?
EDIT: Also your points get halved then rounded up. It's ridiculous imo.
Seems like how American sports work, no title for coming first in the league, only for winning the playoffs, which is what the Super Bowl is in NFL.
It all looks weird with plans originally to take the number of teams down to 16. I can sort of justify a play-off when the league is relatively small. 40 league games a season sounds like too much.
@@michaelkitchin9665 that's how the Serbian league works, 16 teams, playoffs split the league in half after 30 matches, then you play 7 more
Top half fights for the title and Europe, bottom half against relegation
That system keeps fans interested for the whole season. Bayern & Ajax always seem to win their leagues running away which fans would turn out. With the playoffs, your team still have a shot at winning the league.
@@raoulduke1961 But the playoffs exist because teams from the east and west coasts don't play against each other in the regular season. It makes sense in a country as big as the USA
Please do a video on Juve. How did they go from 10x champions in Italy and Cl semi regulars to fighting for a cl spot in the league and going trophyless. Love the content!
Ronaldo left
@@menesebastiao2468 surely gotta be deeper than that
Before Ronaldo, they won the league very sporadically. Winning in 1930 doesn’t translate to winning in 2022
Real Madrid luckily missing out on both mbappe and haaland which could have halted vinicius and rodrygo's development
You are deluded bro.... Real Madrid winning was like Leicester winning EPL 7yrs ago. Besides Benzema will drop off massively from next season due to age.
@@akachiedoggy5711 "Leicester winning 7 years ago" Damn, I'm old...
@@akachiedoggy5711 "like leicester" 🤣🤣🤣 madrid won the double and even won the super cup in january, but some dude said "like leicester"

And Nottingham Forest were back in the premier league...
Hamburg threw away a 1 (away) goal lead to lose the playoffs against Hertha Berlin...
Those were the standout moments from this season...
Unpopular opinion: Hamburg won't be back in Bundesliga until they get rid of that stupid, pointless clock. It's nothing more than a sign of ego and it brings nothing but banter from opposition fans.
bordeux getting relegated aswell😳
Zlatan did sweet FA for Milan this year lol
you reds
Nottingham Forest have never been in the premiership ever since it was established in 92'.
Haaland, Mbappe, Madrid, Leao, Nkunku, Milan, Giroud, MCity Liverpool Big Sunday, Aguero retires, God (Ronaldinho) is still alive and well, Man United is still divided, Messi isn't the highest earner at his club, Bale finally gets out without bail for free, Kane lost his reserved City spot, Putin keeps making Zinchenko cry, Senegal vs Egypt (Sadio vs Salah) African final, Klopp didn't smile at the post UCL final press conference, Scouse fans get tear gassed in Paris, The Athletic stops signing Ibrahim Sangare, and EA Sports and FIFA got divorced, and Shakira's lips don't lie but Pique's does ..... 2022 was that year, people.
Italy's silver generation are yet to play in a World Cup, Thibaut Courtois fully paid up all that money La Presidente splashed on his long arms and legs, David Alaba's gamble paid off in his first season, The Super League didn't happen, the stands are again filled following the plandemic, while England & Hungary get only school children to watch their games, Tammy saves Mourinho's blighted career, the myth of Bielsa gets shattered, OG Solskjær goes to rehab for being United's longest failed coach, Leipzig gets a trophy, Frankfurt and Cadiz cause Barcelona to need CPR, their w m n's team follows suit, Raiola never gets to enjoy the money from Haaland's signing, France and Germany can't make up their mind on which players to sit on the bench, and we suddenly realized Qatar was secretly hoping 300,000 fans would be okay with desert tent accommodations but nope! Yet to top all that, the miracles of Vin-Zema versus PSG, MCity, Chelsea and the likes. Marcelo becomes the most decorated player at Madrid, while Eden remains a parked Porsche in their garage (at least they used to bring Gareth Bale out every final to rev his engine and remind us he is still somewhere there in the dressing room, but not that guy Hazard. His tires stay flat) .
Leeds stayed up✌️
@Abdulaziz Mohammed He is the God of football for inspiring entertaining football and freestyling. And you are right, Allah does not exist. But Ronaldinho does.
Pretty sure they recommended Sangare in one of their recommended signing video's this season. Still less then 2 years ago though and they didn't the season before as he had just joined PSV.
Allah is the one god
Given it's a video about football around the world I feel like you could have taken the extra couple of seconds to mention that Son is the first ever Asian player to win the golden boot, rather than just throwing in him with no comment as an aside to talking about how great Salah was
Porto also won the Portuguese Cup, you should reference it imo
Great work Tifo!Liverpool were so close to a Quadruple but hopefully next season we can win the Champions league and Premier league
good video/recap, thanks for producing it and giving the season perspective
love the art work... love the Ac Milan Banner and team picture ;)

I thought what is most interesting is that we have an American (Leeds) as a top league manager and an Australian (Australian) as a manager in Scotland
Australians are Australian. Mind-blowing.
You must be very sheltered then is all i can say to that
A bit disappointed there wasn't much of a mention of the great escapes this season. Everton, Leeds and more remarkably Salernitana all pulled off unlikely escapes in some closely run relegation battles that put many title races to shame when it comes to twisting, unpredictable narrative.
wonderfully soothing video this, nice one Tifo
This was a brilliant video, thnx Tifo
No, HMS shared the golden boot with Salah who padded his total with pens.
Odd that Tifo didn't mention Sangare's good performance against Ajax in the Dutch Cup final
Thanks, really needed this video, just woke up from a 15 years coma. Than you athletic interest
Great video idea. Very helpful
There was a video made on this channel asking if Rangers would rise again like a phoenix from the ashes. The past two seasons have shown they have. Couldn't be more proud of my team.
Can’t keep a great club like Glasgow Rangers down forever
It is worth mentioning that Union Saint Gilloise nearly won that Belgian title... as a newly promoted club!
This is just Europe's top leagues tho you could have talked about other leagues too. Check out the stats from the Bosnian Premiere League you would be surprised about the team and the scorer
