This summer I did a 4 week trip across Balkans and Central Europe that started with a flight to Corfu, which was my first time in Greece. The first thing I did after dropping my bags in a guesthouse in Messonghi was go look for a cafe or restaurant. It was past 9pm. I was sitting in a cafe by the road, cars were speeding and beeping, cycadas were making theit noise, it was a 35 degree heat, cafe owner was shouting at his waiters, I was eating a gyros and drinking beer. It wss blissful. I want something like that again in my life.

The archaeological site of Aegae, next to the contemporary town of Vergina, was the first capital of the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedonia. The site is located 65 km (40 miles) west of Thessaloniki in Northern Greece’s ancient province of Macedonia.
Aegae is protected by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage monument and a site of outstanding natural beauty. It is also a site of immense historical significance. In ancient Aegae is also the Royal cemetery with its tombs of the Kings and Queens who ruled this ancient Greek Kingdom.
It was in Aegae’s theater in 336 BC that Philip of Macedon was assassinated and his son, Alexander the Great, was declared king of Macedonia.

In second place we have a change. China with 244.5 million DWT (228.3 in 20220) overtook Japan. The Chinese control 11.54% of the world fleet. Japan with 241.8 million DWT (233.1 in 2020) controls 11.4%.
In fourth place is Singapore with 139 million DWT (137,299 in 2020) and controls 6.57% of the global fleet.
In fifth place is Hong Kong - China with 104.2 million DWT (100.9 in 2020) and controls 4.92%.
