You can also kill FoTD lights if you throw water at the skeleton lanterns. And same with the festival of the damned beacons
Wait what? Got to try this
Why would you want to turn the lanterns off?
@@jerry4012 little bit of trolling
@@smexysalami2406 Also could be fun if you're trying to steal to first have everyone grab a color then put those colors out. Skellies kill them, you sink their ship, then light the lanterns back up and finish it.
What is "FoTD"
Tridents of dark tides break mermaid statues more quickly and with less hazard
I hadn't thought of that, guess I'm learning from this video too!
I have over 1k hours in SOT and didn't know about using the merm hitbox to cancel shark bite damage. That's gonna be stupid handy when there are too many to dodge. Thanks!
Don't feel bad I have 3k+ hours and didn't know either
Dude, #12 is exactly what I needed to hear! As a solo slooper, the gold hoarder vaults are already difficult (only one person to solve & pick-up chests). The last vault I did I spent two hours picking up map pieces only to spend all my time pixel hunting for the 3rd medallion. Never did find it and made it out of there with just two seafarer chests. :(
You can do it with zero medallions. Knowing that pillar 4 has the combination; also know that single chains are on pillar two and double chains are on pillar 3.
Yarr, its the lock n key that makes me stop and have to look. If you ever figure out a tip for those, let me know! You should always be able to make out with the tribute chest, knowing you only need to try 4 times.
@@Zlykin finding 1 medallion is always pretty easy and will make it faster anyways. I’d say it’s probably better to just keep an eye out for at least one or two while dropping all the other treasure and then going from there.
I listen to guides and things daily on sea of thieves lately, and I've gotta say man... Your channel will grow bigggggg if you keep pushing homie. Much love for the tips and tricks 💙
Awww I really appreciate that, thank you ❤️
tip from a solo slooper. if theres a skelleton sloop coming for you and you want to take it down. remove your sail. make boat spin just a little bit. always shoot them under the waterline. done in like 2 minutes
:3
I solo sloop all the time, thanks for the tip.
I solo sloop fleets, when facing a skelly galleon or sloop simply shoot fire at the top of the deck a couple of times, especially in the back. They will catch on fire and be unable to shoot cannons. Then keep all sails down and shoot bottom deck. Simply counter turn when you need and easy sinks. Anchor turn at end of waves
@@fysics5375 Thats a nice tip. thank you ^_^
@@fysics5375 solo slooper here as well. OoS fleet voyages is the first thing i usually do (free storage crates lmao) and skelly fleets are some of my favorite content.
Sloops usually arent a hassle. Spread your cannons as best youre able. Theyres probably a point youre close enough to chuck a few firebombs by hand, you dont need to try and cannon them over. What you do want is to shoot a blunder every 2nd~3rd ball and knock around the skellies trying to repair.
Galleons: all that and then the power move: harpoon it (get holes in it first; firebomb the cannon line by hand) and yeah, harpoon it. At that point, bucket your water on them. They cant bail. This will make you a real good bilge real fast. Now that its season 9, a skelly sloop is a free emissarry grade/loot, and now yall can take on galleys too.
If you can solo a fleet you, can can somehwat pvp. If youre solo, you should rock blunder/sword and stay on the ship as much as possible. If youre helm, its usually blunder/snipe. And cannon/boarder goes with whatever they feel. I personally liked sword/flint and will do seaforts like that still.
Its hard to board against sword/blunder. This is your safest bet. Then you try and fight a siren/shark🤣 The key is to use what you please. The question isnt what should you use; the question is what makes you deadly. Get in the habit of grabbing range if you know youre in water. Pirates life finally made me drop flint for snipe, not pvp. Take that how you please. If i were to ever double gun/tdm id have flint+snipe, but flint/sword is the way.
Im done and sorry for essay. Im just trying to add to the tips here. All my lessons, up there. I was the 'screw you for sinking me' crybaby, and the difference between that and getting asked to carry in hourglass by the average sailor was pve fleets.
Pirate legend is done, i run reaper and i dont run. I still voyage, level faction stash hoard, and live the pirate life. The game is super peaceful. Just mute, grab pink flame, do a sea fort. Its all meant to be a loop, and sinking/death isnt supposed to be the end.
Fun challenge; solo a galleon and treat it like an uber. Do a figure 8, use your sail brakes as into wind rather than trying to raise if if youre just trying to turn. Then, commodity run/recruit like glitterbeard, but then start uber-ing voyages. Youll come out of that a better player.
Its not about the gold. Its about the glory!
Couple times my brain was faster than my thumbs, but its not too bad and i dont think its worth an edit. Edits make people question the message; yadayada.
This was insanely informative. And I preordered this game, have been playing ever since. Great job!
I learned from a few of these so in return here's a couple tips back. #37 when sword lunging skeletons, jump just as you release and look down. You can jump over the skeletons while still having your sword hit them. No more getting stopped by the first skeleton! Hurt all of them at once! #64 if your pet is potentially ruining your tuck, I forget the name of it but in the My Ship or My Crew menu where you can scuttle, there is an option to dismiss your pet.
Thanks for this learned some things I didn’t not know before. And by the way congratulations on 5k!
Great video! It's always good to watch these, because even if they have mostly information that others have shared, here and there, someone else may know something different that is effective for your arsenal of knowledge.
Keep making content like this and you will absolutely blow up first video I watch from you and its just straight to the point and it's great
in regards to #6 at 2:52, this is super important for mouse players. with a mouse you have much finer control over your movements and you can easily make small adjustments with your wrist and big sweeping motions with your elbow. mouse players want to use one and only one sensitivity and stick with it, whichever you are comfortable with is fine. making all the sensitivities consistent means you can begin building strong muscle memory which is key to good aim. changing sensitivities by using different ADS modifiers, or DPI changing buttons, or mouse acceleration, or simply changing your actual sensitivity often greatly complicates things and makes it exceedingly difficult to build muscle memory. always make sure you try to use the exact same sensitivity across different games, disable mouse acceleration, enable raw input if your game supports it, and then stop messing around with it and start learning. this also probably applies to gyro aim players, but i don't have enough experience to say for sure.
however, controller players do not have such luxuries. its hard to do anything other than broad sweeping motions in a single direction with a stick. controller players need a fast as fuck sensitivity while unscoped to turn around quickly, but then use a lower scoped sensitivity to make small adjustments. controller players are literally the entire reason aim down sights mechanics exist in shooter games as a compromise for their poor input controls, and controller players must make good use of the feature if they can. with that said, its probably best if you have all the different ADS sensitivities for all the different items be the same.
Great Video and thanks for taking the time to categorise everything !
That was a very useful video, even for me, who's been playing for quite a while. Thanks.
W dude this help me progress so much man thank you genuinely
Just started playing and watched this video. Very informative and useful advice (certainly for a new player). Overall awesome video, liked and subbed ✌🏻
As a new player, how do I acquire one of the resource storage chests? I need that method in my life lol
I'm glad it was helpful!
And for the Storage Crates they can be purchased from any Merchant Alliance representative (the ones with the blue of yellow cloths on the docks of outposts) for 5000 gold, or they can be found washes up on the shores of most islands
@@TheWitherMaster Awesome, thanks again!
Been playing with a friend and doing relatively well in trying to save for my first ship. The only issue I have is sailing solo... Get caught out by players a fair bit as I get tunnel vision digging for my quests etc lol 😆. All in all enjoying it though 👌🏻
Dude, I've been trying to figure out why I'm a lightning rod for years! That makes so much sense with the sword. Thanks!
just got this in my recommended. awsome vid!
Quality tips with a good tempo. Well done!
Congrats on the 5k and thanks for the tips. Definitely learned some helpful things.
I'm here watching this 10 months after release. He grew 7k Subs under 10 months? Well done man, keep up the grind!
Great video overall, the only one though that REALLY surprised me was tip #44 👍
Thaks helped me a lot. Well made quality videos like these are what we need.
I'm glad you found it helpful!
My 9 year old son and I just started playing SOT together this video will be extremely helpful.
Love your Videos Keep the good work up
Thanks! Will do!
Even though I have a lot of hours in the game, this vid still gave me a few tips! Amazing!
Yo bro nice vid! as an experienced player these would have been nice 3 years ago 😂 but great video, hope ur channel does well ❤
I’ve been playing SOT for a while, and still didn’t know about the infinite Run thing, thanks
Almost 1k hours with max reps, pretty good tips and a few new ones I didn't know about
25:02 in my experience, it is also possible to out-shoot the mermaid statue’s healing solo with an eye of reach if you park your ship next to it or bring an ammo crate with you, it just takes a really long time, though it can help finish the job if you happen to be low on/run out of food
Dont know if this one was put out yet, but after killing an ashen lord, the skull they drop can be used as a flamethrower when holding and pressing your "shoot" button. The skull is pretty easy to identify since its alot larger and has a sort of breathing audio I think (plus it's got a fire effect inside of it)
But the more you use it the cheaper it becomes. So it’s a double edged sword
@@stolenspace4932 Tru dat
decreases the value by A LOT tho
Im two levels away in merchants before im pirate legend and theres so much in here i did not know great video
#73 19:45 u can put the chest of rage ontop of one of the barrels and do the water method. It won’t go up a deck or boil the water.
You can also cancel the meg by shooting it with a blunder at the last second, pretty useful if you don't have time to reload the cannon.
Great video thanks dude!
Super excited for sea of thieves coming to ps5 this helps a lot thanks
#29 (8:19) was simi useful to me as I had never timed them.
Other than that, I knew everything. But I appreciate this video for those who don't know much with SoT.
Thank you for this video, I just got the game Yesterday so I am still bad but this helps a lot.
this video was actually really usefull. i only have like 50 hrs in the game so im pretty new so thanx
I'm glad it was helpful!
Thanks that was really helpful 🙂
This really helped me out I just got sea of thieves yesterday
I'm glad!
thank you these are some rly useful tips !
Thank you for the tips. Fairly new to the game and even tips from other players was not as informative as this. Fortune to you!
I'm so glad it was helpful! Fortune to you as well!
Earned my sub with this video! Appreciate all the time and energy you put into this. Keep up the great work! #DeadMenTellNoTales haha
I like the harpoon row boat tips! 👍
19:56 also if you have something with you like a supply crate, trinket chest etc. you can bury it and then use the map you just got showing where that buried item is to figure out where you are on the island
Thankyou for this 🙏🏽
This was a lot of help. I got this game a week ago, and I am trying to become a pirate legend in 10 days. So, these tips will help me finish the final stretch. Also, I subscribed and keep up the great videos!
9 days later. Did you get PL?
@@chillintrav yes
I managed to see a shrouded ghost within my first five hours of playing. But I didn’t know it was rare and just ran from the big shark
Tip 93 mermade states are best with the trident of dark tides they can kill a ruby statue with a bit over half the tridents power
so many tips and I already knew it all
the water trick does work for the chest of rage but be careful for how long you leave it there the water will start to boil at some point
There is a lock position key for harpoons as well.
For PC it's usually the R key.
what a great video, thanks
I truly hope they fix being able to put stuff on your anchor, such a dumb fucking strat
Your subs have doubled since this video released good job
Great video, earned a sub
If you don't want to park your boat so the ladder is easily accessible, you can jump and use the harpoon to quickly board a ship. I have only done this on a sloop, and it takes a bit of practice, but it is way more effective than the ladder.
I'd like to add something to your list. When cooking food, if you're having trouble telling if it's done, listen for it "spitting". I've found it 99% effective in telling if something is cooked or not.
You can generally hear it all over your ship, except the Crow's Nest.
the mermaid one really helped
Im new to SOT. Thank you for the tips! I want to learn as much as I can. Just hard when your a SOLO. Alos, I play on XSX
I'm happy to help! And solo sloop is definitely Sea of Thieves' hard mode, if you wanted to play with a crew but you're having trouble finding one, I would recommend checking out the new-swabbie-lfc (looking for crew) chat in the official Sea of Thieves Discord, there's tons of other players there looking for new people to play with all the time!
Since you've hit the 5,000 Mark and you're doing 100 tips and tricks I will grade you harshly 👍
The crew status tag and the fish name tag are automatically on you don't have to turn them on
The kraken vacuuming attack if you attack the tentacle that's doing it you can get it to cancel it
The skeletons on the ship will attack you on the ladder if they have guns doesn't happen very often but they do occasionally ladder guard
Covering your capstan in loot is a double-edged sword cuz you can just as easily not catch it when they do manage to drop it on you.
And if I see someone doing that I'll just kill them first and then drop the anchor
If you want a portal hop properly you need to get yourself a saved checkpoint so that you don't have to wait 4 minutes for her to do a magic trick and open it for you you can open it on the fly and be gone as fast as possible
Nice video
Also if you’re cooking fish/food and want to know if it’s done listen for the pops. It sizzles while cooking but once ready it’ll pop. I like listening better cause I stress and second guess if it looks done.
great vid thank you
#55 now you can dive to a new server which is nice to server hop from events to the actual mission. Remember to sell all loot (not storage) beforehand
you know what the best tip was tip 100 100% fr fr
Bro me and some bois just started playing again and this will help us back into the grind momentum
Nice vid bro
Great Vid!
Thank you!
You can also tell if you are in range of a volcanos in devils roar if the water is more white colored than usual
Congrats on the 5k the next is 10!
great video!
24:20 No cap you really have to read this journal
why
@@RAiNfORAiNbOW It’s the best journal in the game
I am kind of surprised at the amount of these tips I've managed to pick up on my own over my first 2 weeks of SoT
great video, very helpful, some tips I had to watch a couple of times because the mumble is strong with you.
Best youtuber for sot guides.
Well deserved,10k next!
You can also play music to an trapped snake and it will stop puking venom for a while
Congrats on the 5k!! Well deserved
with the sword lounge you can press block immediatly after and for some reason the exhausted animation is cancelled
I was lucky enough to end up getting an ancient skeleton after like 6 hours of total gameplay, luckily, he got stuck on a rock, huge boost towards me getting myself a nice pet and probably also the infinite depths weapon bundle
I got the rarest tier of ancient skeleton in my first hour of playing, it gave around 500 ancient coins lol
19:48 It does work on brigs as well :)
Ah the bunny rabbit cannons for those who hate peripheral vision when shooting at targets😅 0:35
Nice video, I think it would be even more enjoyable if you articulated a bit more sometimes though, was pretty hard to hear what you said at some points. Thanks for the big effort making it though.
Another trick that I use when cooking anything is the sound it makes when its fully cooked. It makes a sound like pencil scribing on paper, its pretty noticeable.
For 24 if you hear a sorta ghosty sound followed by a horror crescendo, it also is a skelly ship. So have fun
great tips
I thougt I was the only one who had the Sprint key on the Mouse XD
Nice save when the kraken tries to eat you instead of suck you
It takes about slightly less than 4 tridents to kill a Ashen Lord, but just grab 4 so you have some room to miss :)
That depends on how many are in your crew....
yes this is for a 1-2 person sloop
Great video
Thank you!
GOLD VAULTS: single chains are on pillar 2, double chaims are on pillar 3.
That tip alone cut down my answer times by huge chunks. May your sails bring you fortune!
Thx soo much mate, I wish you only the best and also I wich you a loot of shrouded gost spawns
listening to this video while playing sonic wave in geometry dash🔥🔥
I found my lost shipments Captain's key about six feet up stuck in a tree on a small island
Unequip your boots and peg legs and you will be significantly quieter
If someone drops a keg on your boat pick it up and press LT/rmb to cancel it, then use it on their boat
Use the shroudbreaker to escape enemie ships by going into the blood water near the shores of gold
Sort your barrels
Food will make a different sizzling sound when it's fully cooked, also cooked food gives regeneration that can be "stored" for later and heal you after at least 5-6sec
No way the boots thing is real
@@bamf186 try it
I got a question, the key auto-move works for evade inactivity kick?
The difference between the T named characters is their gender.
If you have a female name that starts with a T, like Tina, it's always a Tavern keep.
If it's a male name, like Tim, it's a trinket vendor
For #47, a newer player, if not buying stuff from the Emporium, will usually have not default, but something cheap, usually to distinguish themselves, like a basic colored sail. People pretending to be new will have default ship cosmetics
You can zoom in on maps by holding F while holding it up :)
