The tool-less bit change seems very handy. I hate that I always have to worry that I’ll lose the wrench for my Ryobi cut out tool. The auto mode on the screw gun is pretty sweet too.

I have the old screw gun and and really glad the next is here. Love the button style modes..withbuilt in clip. You can fly pretty good with that..slide into a tape holder..use the auto feed attachment and maybe extender

That drywall screwer tool is shaped exactly like the first cordless drill I ever owned. A 1993 craftsman 9.6. I thought it was the sexiest looking tool ever made. I used it to drill holes in my truck bed to make a ladder rack. Stripped all of the clutch settings within a week.
It still looked great in my mom’s basement for years afterwards though.

Toolless bit change cutout tool is awesome. The screw gun is pretty sweet too. Love how you dont have to press the trigger to zip in the screws. But thr other mode where it judt dtays running is kinda pointless. Its doing the same thing as the triggerless mode but using way more bat tray juices.
That's probably one of two tools that I still use that's corded and haven't went to battery powered.

First thing i hated about the 2nd gen was the switch change i was so used to the flicking motion it took me a awhile to get used to it.should've stayed with the old one for me besides that love the compact size i got excited about the auto mode but i find that the screw depth isnt the same even if its set to where u want it.the depth is fine if u switch back to mode 2.i had to replace the nose cone and the bit holder on mine after 5 months it was making a terrible screeching noise thought it was the bush bearings on the motor at first replaced the cone and bit holder everything's fine.i also really appreciate that u can still use the gen 1 nose cones on the 2nd gen.
The new cut out tool is Definitely my new favorite tool dewalt finally answered my prayers and made them brushless. (WHY WEREN'T THEY BRUSHLESS!! For so long and also why didnt they make a pre-threaded hole for the first gen like the new 1 has for the belt clip?........idk but they did it now and i appreciate it good job dewalt👍
They need to do something to keep the screw from getting tipped to the side when starting them.
Yo Clint! It's about high time Dewalt came out with this edition. Push drive, top mounted belt clip, and variable speed settings. Real nass like! Hopefully, they provide a rapid charger for the bat-rays within the kit. 🤷♂️

Yeah bit the paper is ripping out on every screw. What about hanging ceilings? Best practices are to not have the paper rip out, that is part of the strength so you need to get the torque corrected so that the screw heads sink in far anough to be flat, (slight indent) but NOT ripping out the paper.

Nice of Dewalt to finally bring that drywall drill up to par with the competition lmao. But seriously that no tool bit change on the cutout tool would be so nice to have, love my Milwaukee but would love that feature
the only thing that sucks if u screw without backing by accident its annoying to switch the modes fast to take out the screw other than that its lighter and the new mode is cool. (ive obviously tried it from a friend at work) but i dont think its really worth it unless my screw gun breaks or something

I confess that my heart stopped every time I saw the screws pierce the drywall paper. I've been waiting for this drywall screwdriver for over a year, and as I live in Portugal, I'll have to wait another year for it to arrive.
There's one thing that annoys me.....🙄that nose cone when it fills up with dust will jam the depth mechanism.... I thought that this time they'd add some magnets to the nose cone so it doesn't have to rotate.

@@ToolReviewZone ,I assume the dust collector attatchment is for the new drywall router. Every day I have problems with the drywall screwdriver's nose cone depth adjuster.....millions of screwdrivers sold and still don't realize it's not practical to turn the nose cone. Keep up the good work.👍

Great tools find myself using a oscillating tool on remodels cut off to dusty. You need to tether yourself don't want you laid up and evil twin taking over.
Stage 3 must be for a very small job unless you have 20 batteries on your belt
Dumb question: could drywall cutout tool be used on wood?
Usually the bits burn up too quick and little if any cutting is achieved using that type of tool on wood.
At least in my experience trying to do so in the early days experimenting with that type of tool on the job.
When too many studs are hit the bits need to be replaced usually.

those chordless guns have no finess sure there real easy to run but the depth control sucks that's wy I don't use them !!!
Don’t like the gun to keep running similar to the old model. Loud and wastes battery. The auto feature is what was missing that Milwaukee and Makita has had for years.
