@@jellyd4889 You need to understand, the typical Tesla buyer get their news from Instagram, declares "followers" as friends, would have no clue what an ETF is, hasn't actually written anything apart from pecking away on an Iphone screen, their knowledge base is severely limited by the garbage that is spoon-fed to them. In their bubble of reality, Elon Musk is a "perfect" human being, can do no wrong & is looked upon as a saviour of humanity.

@@michaelfjmusic There is actually something faster than Plaid. If you watch Spaceballs Candy says, "Nothing is faster than Plaid". So my guess is Roadster V2 will have a "Nothing" setting.

Yes perfomance wise it is, nothing comes close but the exterior design is dull, looks like a car from 2013, no presence at all. All of the Germans look miles better (E Tron GT RS, Taycan Turbo, Mercedes EQS) and the interior looks nice but still the quality isn't as good as in German cars. Having no buttons isn't as convenient especially while you are driving amd the turn signals are touch buttons and on steering wheel, really hard to use them while you are already steering.
Just my opinion tho, I don't hate Tesla nor am I biased towards German cars. I am driving Volvo anyway

Yeah your daily driver needs a Yoke steering wheel, that looks cool, but is way more inefficient and dangerous

Yeah your daily driver needs to browse on a touchscreen, just to control the airco

It literally guesses which way you want to go. How much easier does it need to be.

And the Yoke being just fine, are you for real??? This thing has been proven to be a step back (less functional and even dangerous) for decades and decades.
It's only in the car because it looks cool. It has no upsides. It *guesses* which way you want to go. Do you even hear what is coming out of your mouth?
Come on man, are you really this dense? It's all just gimmicks to make this *look* like a car of the future, but it's all just dogshit and impractical as hell.
@@cryptopolice6202 Did you not see that it guesses only when it's in park?? You can still choose which way you want to go. Also, most people who think software is impractical either have never actually used a tesla for at least a few days. Most reviewers who have actually driven the car for a while agree that it is easy to get used to the software. And fair enough about the yoke comment, it is objectively worse than a steering wheel in a lot of cases. But again, most people who own the car agree that it is fine. MKBHD (A person who bashed the yoke in his first impression video) posted on Twitter that he actually prefers the yoke. 95% of driving you do is on straight roads. And for the times you do need to turn, as I said, it's easy to get used to. The only thing I'll give you with the yoke is the touch buttons and the placement of the horn. Those are absolute sht, and it would have been way better if those were physical.
Soul is something heard in the legacy cars, its something felt in the Tesla Rocket ship.
He screams about how fun the car is in the video. It seems the definition of soul is some weird archaic requirement like someone missing how their old car used to leak oil on the garage floor lol.

The deal was buying Tesla stock at the 5 split, then it's value increasing enough to pay for the Plaid and insurance cash when they released it, then let Tesla pay you for it a second time by getting the full self driving package and sending it out in the robotaxi fleet when you are not using it to return charged and climate controlled for your commute to true wealth. 😜

It's play it safe kind a design that can be used in any generation and still works.
The Mk4 supra is an example similar to this.the complete opposite is the mk5 supra

The plaid also got new engineered suspension arms, and a ton of new engineered features under the car/hood. It really is an engineering marvel.

As insane as the Plaid is it's rumored there will be an over-the-air update that unlocks 180 more HP for a total of 1,200 HP! It's a great time to be alive

I believe it, I was expecting them to hold back for something to throw a punch. Maybe Porsche’s next move, or just the Rimac, then I figured they’d give it a bump in power.

@@Mein_KampfyChair Pollution as well! Studies have shown that your distance to a highway correlates to your likelihood of getting cancer/other similar illnesses. Electric cars remove that entirely.

Loving the steering wheel and just the simple dashboards in Tesla cars. I would love to see other manufacturers having simpler clean dashboards, it's just nice
They don't do that because you have to perfect your OTA and Software to make that happens, with Tesla they have a dedicated team to develop Software and OTA.
Because most of their money spent on Advertising and Lobbying politicians lmao

When you realize the noise of a V8 is just wasted energy...and then see what happens in a Tesla when you put all the energy you have on the actual road where it belongs.

I have owned several hot rods over the years and the rumble and roar of a V8 sounds amazing for the first few weeks, then when you have friends in the car and want to show off, but the rest of the time it kind of becomes a nuisance. Makes listening to music a lot less enjoyable. Conversations are more like yelling etc..

Other car guys appreciate the low center of gravity vs ICE, the lower polar moment of inertia, the 10ms throttle response that ITBs can only dream of, the useable power you can use every day without worrying about the longevity of your engine, your fuel consumption, your maintenance, or warming up your engine/transmission. The autopilot in traffic...the things a performance Tesla can do on a daily basis is unlike any ICE car...

Recently got a 16 P90D. It is plenty fast, you really have to watch it. Totally have fallen in love with one-foot driving. Amazing feeling to not have to run to the gas station all the time too, just sitting there waiting and ready to go every morning. Really has been a good car.

I've had my MS P100D over a year and a half and I still laugh every time I mash the accelerator at a traffic light. It might be time to upgrade though. 😎
I have the 2018 Dual Motor Model 3 no performance upgrade, but I too can rest my foot on the accelerator at a red light, and mash it when it turns. I too giggle, and yours is much faster.
And how many times can you do that before the batteries overheat? And the brakes - how long before they feel like sponges?!!!

@@fisken1262 And it is astounding so many people get fooled by him. The batteries do heat up - that's a physical characteristics of batteries. There are thermal circuits that cut back power after it gets to a certain point so your energy output is reduced. Why do you think these cars can't run continuously at max output? And at the end of the day, it is still powered by fossil fuels.

I've had open heart surgery, and I drive a standard Model S AWD which does 4.4s. I have to say a plaid may be just that little bit too exciting :-)
