They have already proven how dangerous those steering wheels are, I am surprised they are even legally allowed in the US.
@@robsp32 I've never drove a car, I'm just about too young to get my licence. But yeah I already feel uncomfortable looking at the way he holds the wheel. I'd feel more comfortable having a full 360° wheel as of cause you can grab it from anywhere. For $130,000 you should have the option for a traditional wheel. Even though the model s has auto pilot or whatever its called (or I believe its an option). But yeah I totally agree.
I love how he drives like it’s a racing game. Well done.
The fact that it's possible to play video games on the screen with the steering wheel is great

It would be perfect with a round steering wheel and dedicated shifter (even if it was something that could be hidden away if you prefer the touch screen).
It has a dedicated shifter below the wireless chargers which are haptic buttons. So the car has 3 ways to shift; 4 if you include full self driving. You can also get someone to add half a steering wheel to the top half for a few hundred dollars. Doesn't seem hard to do

Great video. Best interior Plaid driving shots I’ve seen so far. If I could only upgrade my Model Y…
Absolutely fantastic
I'd rather have a proper steering wheel and a few buttons but otherwise very nice car! I'm hoping it has traction control in the wet or snow though in case I'm a bit lead footed. How does the power come on is it a sensitive throttle or does it accelerate like a mini van until at least half way down, then ramp up the power?
Also is the steering light or does it have a bit of weight to it? I dislike really light twitchy steering. I need the wheel to be steady when I'm "feeling the Gs" haha. If it feels like a games console steerer I don't want to be slipping the wheels over steering!
When you said boom my heart fell especially when you pushed the acceleration pedal😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Tesla couldn't have hired anyone better to show off their monster! Your great driving and great narration at the same time is magical. Cheers
I like it so much especially seat style and color.
That's some great driving man. Looks like a fun car to have.
Great driving? Doing 50 around blind corners cutting into the oncoming lane? Sure would be a shame if there was another retard driver doing the same thing coming at him in his lane
@@nolanconlin7236 first of all he was doing 70+, second of all he was not cutting corners in blind spots, he only slightly invaded lama in save spots. He is a good driver.
First video of yours I’ve watched in years. We missed this. Keep it up.
Has a dynamic steering ratio ever been tried on a car? I feel like it's the most sensible to scale steering depending on your speed
Exactly what I was thinking.
I saving for the new S Plaid! Another 2 years and I will be placing pre-order in 2015!
I just really hope that they give an option for either the normal steering wheel or the yoke in the new Tesla Model S Plaid.

Oh woww! Very nice looking. So many changes from the traditional sedan tho. I’ll be afraid of crashing from hesitation.
I really want to see this around a track.
I could not get in the back seat without hitting my head on the roof, front seat egress was fine. Drove one with that steering yoke and did not have any issue, actually like the blinker buttons.
The screen was nice too, very quick.
honestly regardless of how good he is, i wouldn't be surprised if he got into an accident its kinda forthcoming even for an experienced drivers
he will crash someday doing his last youtube video
I can´t imagine steering with this steering wheel. I´m sure after while it´s normal, but I have feeling that the "operational range" is drastically decreased.
To be honest, it looks like fun car.
Apostrophe is a different key.

I loved his love for car
Love the plaid. Would probably put on those milltek active sports exhaust speaker just for shits and giggles. That's my preference though. Amazing car insane 0-60, 0-100 so on.
It's wild how casually the car zips to 100 mph out of the turns
7:32, That blue car on the side of the road... 18 years ago THAT was the DEAL of a century. Now it's a museum piece.
This guy's driving, giving me very, very shock since i lived my entire life on populated region; my first thought is "why are you driving so dangerous- if you're going that fast, you can't manage other car on opposite rane also if you committed an accident, it wouldn't end up with just a bump basically if someone is going that fast; but somehow, well, there is literally no car on that road.. Xd
Bro your driving is another level 😂🙌🏽
If there was opposing traffic he would’ve caused an accident. He was coming into contact with the center line way too much
No way that I would ever drive this fast on such a road. 😂😂😂
I never thought those canyon levels in need for speed were realistic but I’m convinced now
The lack of exhaust hurts my ears.
Haha 😂
The way this thing just annihilates distance is deeply impressive!
wow man you really know how do handle this beast
3:39 Those ipad style dashboards are lethal. You're pissing about with the screen when you should be watching the road.
I wish I could like this video twice! Great job, loved the review
I might get this car in the future when I'm older. The Tesla Model S Plaid is very stronk
i,m happy that you enjoyed it
My legit dream car now LOL
Honestly I would swap to steering wheel from a yoke. It may look good but a steering wheel is more comfortable and more importantly is more safe. But hey, traditional steering wheel doesn't look bad either. You don't have to buy or use something just because it is new and social media dictates it to you unconciously.
Too fast and definitely beyond the driving abilities of many people. I'm one of the minority that finds the reaction to the acceleration old now. The thing is, every driver has this big reaction. I probably would if I drove it too but that's really an overstated aspect of any car. You don't floor it in normal circumstances much and with this much power, it's probably mostly unusable in most driving situations. So that leads to more "mundane" every day aspects of the car that really need to be talked about. Yes, there's the yoke. But I think the best thing about the vehicle is the interior update. It now looks premium and it flows. That's great. What's the ride quality over bumps? What's the wind and road noise like a cruising speeds and higher speeds (seems pretty low based on the reviews). Is the fit and finish now up to its price point? And so forth. We know it's insanely fast but every review I've seen has someone reacting to the speed. And if it isn't a one-trick pony, well, there's more to using a car than that.
For most people interested in that aspect of the car, the nearly 1/2 price Long Range version will serve them well. There are some reviews of those cars online which extensively cover highway and around town driving as well as daily use qualities and drawbacks.
right, right, right and right
@@marshallhilfman Fair point, but acceleration is novel. Others will catch up in time. And at what point does a car accelerate beyond the skills of drivers? At what point does a person have the power but refrain from using it to teach some loud muscle car a lesson? With this amount of power there needs to be restraint and skill in driving. I know the car has electronic nannies to help keep it stable but this is a very, very fast automobile. The whole, what is it "cheetah mode," takes ten minutes to prepare. Then it is just flat out speed. I just wonder really how practically useful it is even if this car isn't about practicality. I hope people just take them on tracks and have their fun. Because this type of power frankly scares me if someone doesn't have the right mentality to handle it. Also, this sort of acceleration is kind of painful. I wouldn't own this car because it is too powerful. And I think, as a car, this is the best Telsa. But the Plaid, IMO, is overkill.
It has everything its not just about the speed. This car is like a swiss army knife. It has every single thing in one package. Cheaper than million dollar hyper cars. The self driving alone is enough reason to get any Tesla lol.
This guy is actually really fun at parties

Electric vehicles with torque like this one are very cool. Using them to drive 70mph on 2 lane roads around blind corners is very not cool.
