I knew most of these things however, my mouth becomes dry after brushing my teeth. That’s the crazy part. And whenever I experience dryness, I try to drink more water, which makes things worse as the taste that’s in my mouth when it’s dry is heightened (this taste is an indicator that my breath smells off). This normally occurs during the night or in the morning. I find that eating stops the dryness.
Edit: I found a solution…
- I don’t brush for too long (it causes my mouth to go dry - and dry mouth causes bad breath so no… or else it defeats the whole purpose of brushing your teeth).
- I started flossing (I tell you, when I did so for the first time, something told me to smell the floss and it smelt bad ngl. After that I vowed to make flossing a priority).
- I switched my oral hygiene routine up (floss first, then rinse all that out with mouth wash - i use one that’s non-alcoholic (alcohol dries the mouth) and has tea tree in it (but any mouth wash is fine), then I brush my teeth.
- try and eat something (eating will produce saliva, which is what’s needed to flush the bacteria out of your mouth - to your stomach, lol).
- Coffee! Hate to break it to ya but coffee makes my mouth dry :’( Drinking it at night would make my mouth so dry that I’d wake up with terrible morning breath. I’m not addicted to coffee so I’m fine but if your are, try not to drink it before going to bed.

I have something similar. They have dry mouth lozenges that work VERY well (I know from experience). There's a mandarin mint flavored one that tastes fine with toothpaste after you brush your teeth. Just suck on the mint until it dissolves and for at least an hour or more afterwards you don't even feel like you need to drink water at all. It's called TheraBreath Dry Mouth Lozenges, and you can get them at Walgreens or similar stores. The best part is that there is no limit to how many you can take. I have chronic dry mouth from my medicine and as a cashier, I am CONSTANTLY drinking water and going to the bathroom during my shift. Now I eat one of these on a worse day and it practically cures my dry mouth for the rest of the day.

Ur issue probably has to do with something going on in ur stomach. Not necessarily your teeth
@@joepreycoros9170 1.) I realised that when I brush my teeth, I brush for too long. I ddnt notice it at first but I realised that I’d brush for around 3-4 minutes (which is too long and can cause dry mouth and ultimately, bad breath). I also realised I had an infection (which I still need to attend to). I also started flossing. I knew it was important but ddnt think much about it. After starting to floss, I never wanted to go back. It really helped. My brush routine is different too and with it my breath smells fresher for longer (I can wear a mask all day and not have any problems). Even the next day at a time my breath won’t smell the worst (let’s say I ddnt brush my teeth yet), it wouldn’t smell as bad. My oral hygiene routine is as follows: I floss, then go in with a mouth wash (non-alcoholic), then I brush and spit the toothpaste out (you shouldn’t rinse your mouth of the toothpaste that’s why I brush last). Using a humidifier has helped me at night. Over 55% on digital read through the night and all doors clothes. I rest better too. I suffer significantly from dry mouth and it comes on at the same time. It wakes me up out of my sleep.

Hello, I can see many others have similar problems, I’m gonna try this myself for a whole week. For anyone curious this is what I believe is happening. I have a dry mouth, so I drink lots of water, this is causing me to pee ( a lot), because of me having to pee a lot, I’m waking in the middle of night with an urge to pee, my goal is to stop this and be healthy (again). I will edit this after a week, or month with my results, (wish me luck).

Delta Dental of New Jersey and Connecticut my mouth is dry, and my doctor don’t know what’s wrong. They test for diabetes(which they knew I didn’t have it) and sjorgenrs syndrome, it was negative. The dry mouth started from the windy weather this April I believe, I was outside running. Can my dry mouth be fixed? I drink plenty of water, I brush 2 times a day, ive tried biotene, I’ve tried everything

I really hope mine goes away. I can't sleep, it bothers me all day. I don't take medication, I don't have cancer or radiation treatment, I don't have any underlying cause. It just appeared and now won't go away.

Xerostom for dry mouth, can be bought at most major pharmacies world wide. Has a neutral pH. Any product that doesn't have a neutral pH will de-mineralise your teeth,causing lots of damage. Mouthwash, mouth spray, gel, pastilles and gum.
If you can t find it, request if from your local Pharmacy. In most countries it can be subsidized through your medical aid.

had a dry mouth for 4 years, no doctor was able to diagnose it.. my tooth chipped and it turns out this tooth was cracked for years, xrays did not show it..had a root canal on it and now dry mouth is gone.
Been suffering from dry mouth I guess, at least that's what I thought it was. I bought biotene flouride toothpaste without SLS. I used it and saliva is flowing, I didn't even knew I could produce saliva. It has been so long. The SLS is what is causing the dry mouth. Read it somewhere before. But was trying other toothpaste thinking it was mint causing the problem. No SLS because this have mint. I felt defeated for years.

I have dry mouth since pandemic i got anxiety, dry mouth started 3 months ago only when sleep. I don't have those symptoms like oral infection, lost taste, mouths soars, soar throat and bad breath but I have white tongue, lost 5% taste in the morning only, been trying Biotene for 3 bottles already still not fixed, guess anxiety has to be completely gone before dry mouth gone.

Same man, my anxiety has been terrible and when I wake up my mouth is so dry. Also my wounds don’t heal all the way. And this all happened during the pandemic and I think my anxiety isn’t ass bad now but I still have dry mouth 😕

I have dry mouth since last yer. last year , i was stressed and depressed. I took anti-depressents at that time. since then i have dry mouth only at night. I am having dry mouth since 18 months and I have been to ENT as well but they never diagnosed me anything. What they told me is this is because my mouth keeps open when I sleep. Saliva Max is best for this condition.
