Crown brushes were so popular back before youtube was a thing and we all went on Makeup forums 😅 and im glad theyre still around!
If you want to pack on the color, no brush beats a sponge tip applicator. Seriously, try it. You'll be surprised. It's especially good for packing on shimmers and glittery colors but it works better than any brush for matte colors too. You still need a brush to blend it out, but for getting color on your lid, ditch the brush and use a sponge tip applicator.
Great tip! I want to try this! Thank you! Fingers are also great for those intensely shimmery ones! :)
@@Zabrena Yes fingers are the absolute best for packing on pigment, but I find that fingers lead to hardpan pretty fast. Sponge tip applicators are second best. You might have to try a few brands of applicators.
@@Zabrena Also, if you're not familiar with Smitha Deepak, she has some very interesting techniques that use sponge tip applicators plus a brush to blend. Here are two videos that have several million views each.

I’ve used sponge applicators for shimmery eyeshadows for decades. They can be moistened for a stronger effect. I prefer using them to avoid fallout, messy fingers, and hardpan. I prefer brushes for mattes and blending.
@@tinksspixiedust Can you please share the brand you use for the sponge application of shadow? Thanks!
I appreciate you always being genuine! A. Glines, J Bruan…or whatever, always post from a distance that is unrealistic. You ALWAYS share a clear video with natural lighting/filters. As a flawFULL woman.. I relate to real, natural, filming that reflect realistic human flesh and all of our imperfections ♥️
I like the lashes. A little too big for me but I don’t wear them but every once in a while but I think ppl that wear lashes often will really like them
Maybe a similar video for face brushes. This was excellent information. Nobody does eyeshadow like you!
Believe me Zabrena, I never get tired of watching your videos, great content, very informative, helpful and fun to watch 💄❤️👍
Ahhh thank you so much! I appreciate you!
I was surprised no shop miss a brushes made it.. i didn't know crown brushes were still available, but they are!!!
Hey miss Zabrena! You are such a lovely person; I enjoy your videos so much! I would like to see this same video but with face brushes. Same price point, seeing them used in application, etc. Thank you in advance and oceans of love!
Great idea!
Commenting for the algorithm 😅 I love watching you apply eyeshadow. I used to stare at my mom in delight when she did her eyeshadow 😍
A good tip for older women with crepey eyelids: instead of using a back-and-forth motion just kind of stipple it on... you can get basically the same effect without having bald spots on your eyelids because of the wrinkle. It works really well, but I use a slightly longer brush. I've been doing this for about 20 years now and have never had an issue using this method. I love Zabrina, but she's still young. I just wanted to throw in my two cents worth for any older gals (like me) that may love her videos. Hope this helps.
Hi Zabrena! Could you do a video on "I need comfort most... but I also need a bit of _something_ to not look ghastly 🙀?" You could pinpoint each portion like lip combos balm+tint, lipstick + comfy gloss. Or eye looks no shadow but concealer+???. Maybe how to add a bit if color to cheeks without accentuating dryness or redness on nose etc. Even just ways to de accentuate irritation without piling on tons of makeup. Every little bit you can share here would help imo. Love to y'all and your littles. 💜
I am actually very familiar with Crown Brushes and have several of them in my brush collection. The one thing I have noticed with them is that they don't tend to last as long as some of my other brushes do. I take excellent care of my brushes but I have noticed that the Crown's do start to "wear out" before some of my others do. The Real Techniques brushes are fabulous though. If you take care of them they're like Energizer Bunnies. They keep going and going.
I enjoy your videos.....we have similar hair color, skin and eyes. There are not many fair skinned redheads on CZcams; your channel is very much appreciated.
I love this video because I'm getting ready to buy new brushes. BTW those eyelashes are fabulous! Many blessings to you and your family🙏❤️
Great vid! Your eyes are mesmerising.❤
OMG….that’s me in your comments. I indeed have been wondering and was soooooo excited to click for the details lol. Thank you beautiful ❤ 💜
Hi thank you for taking the time to share with us, would it be possible to show us putting on false eyelashes please please, as I am currently having trouble, thank you from Anna in Andover Hampshire UK.
Ive got a few crown brushes that I've had for years.
I also got mine from IMATS in london. 😂
Coloured Raine has some really great brushes. They're really soft, but densely packed. 👌
Love the lashes!
Thanks for not doing a “short” video. This was helpful and enjoyable.
I love the lashes. They’re big and dramatic, but also look like they could possibly be real. They don’t look costumey.
Super recommendations - I have lots of RT but will go look for Crown. Thanks!
You just can't beat the look of Petalette can you??!! The content of this video was extremely helpful especially in regards to the puter crease brushes. I still struggle with that particular process. Z, I also am on fence about that certain style of false eyelashes. I can't put my finger on it.....Thank you for your hard work Z! Love to you and the fam!💜💜💄💄💋💋
Petalette is my favorite eye shadow palette. I have the old one also. That is my absolute favorite pink shade from any palette ❤
Stunning
Sabrina! This I look is everything! And I just bought a set of real techniques brushes. it has seven brushes but none of the ones that you mentioned. I can’t wait to get some of these brushes and re-create this eye look! You are still bringing it after all these years!
Talk about timing! I'm looking for new eye brushes, and I get the notification for this video today! I'll be picking these up for sure, and I really appreciate the technique tutorial, as I've become a bit lax and want to refresh/build my skill. God bless!
I love the lashes!
Love the lashes ❤️
Love the lashes ❤ gorgeous
You are so innovative and clever. Great idea. Thanks for this video.
Thank you Zabrena ❤❤❤
Your makeup is gorgeous!
Thank you for the tips on the makeup brushes.
Wonderful recommendations.
Thank you so much. I appreciate all the low budgets of brushes etc. ❤
This was so helpful! Especially loved that you *used* the brushes you were recommending, and talked about them while doing so! Thank you!! And absolutely beautiful eye look. :)
It is always helpful to get recommendations from you, thank you! Also, we NEED an updated Skin Care Rotine from you!! Super excited for your updated Battle of the Brands Series!
No Sedona Lace brush?!?! 😊. Regarding the Crown brushes, I wouldn’t be surprised if the same factory in China that makes the Max brushes also makes these.
Beautiful color palette. Your eyes are gorgeous as always. Thank you for the brush tutorial. 😊💖
I love the shadow look. I would never think to combine lilac/pink with brown but it's lovely.
Thanks for the info about Crown brushes. I will be looking for them.
I love this look; has a romantic feel. I also think the lashes are amazing!
Thank you!!! This is the best tutorial for me anyway explaining brushes and not just talking about a particular set…I have the real technique brushes you show here and realize I’ve been using wrong…I will look into some of the Crown brushes and order! Yay you for explaining so well!
Great video🇨🇦
I love the Eyeliner Brush. It's so much Sharper then the Mac one. It's in my Amazon Cart now. Thanks Beautiful !!
Love your channel you are so beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Also that crown brush u are using to pack on the shade u can also use one of those little applicators that palettes back in the day came with they work amazing I keep a few around in a pinch 😊 and girl yes those lashes gorgeous love ❤️ them so much
Loved This Tutorial, very Educational! I also love The Eyelashes, get Them!❤️
I’ve been needing a video like this! My brushes never seem to get the results I’m wanting but I make them work the best I can.
As for the lashes… not a fan. They have a short section and then a longer lash in the inner corner.
Thank you for your feedback, Tammy! :) they need some edits!
Jessup brushes have a really good variety of small to large eye brushes. Never hea4d if crown brushes before but be google in them now thank you. That eye combo looks amazing on you ❤
I have very small eyes, and the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill JH33 blending brush is perfect for all my blending needs. It is on sale right now for $7! I have several of them and use them every day!!
It's a struggle with hooded eyes finding brushes!
I dno why you’re on the fence about the lashes they are perfect 👏🏻 very princessy. This video about the brushes was one of your best it was incredibly helpful! Thanks Zabrena 🙏🏻
I would love a tutorial on the purple look that you are wearing today! 💜💜💜🙏
Also- love the style of lashes you are currently on the fence about! They may appeal to a younger crowd, though… ❤
Good afternoon! ☺️
Nice girl xo
Zabrena, I always enjoy your videos!! Your expertise and energy are marvelous!!
Have you ever done a video using sponge tip applicators?
Have you ever done a video on making shimmery eyeshaodws stick???
I have dry skin but boy, can I sweat up a storm!!!
Great video! Always in search of affordable eyeshadow brushes to improve my application technique. Saving this one for future reference! Thank you, beautiful Zabrena. Have a wonderful summer
Would you be able to do a video about false lashes again? I wear glasses and am interested in possibly trying false lashes, but have no idea where to start. There are so many kinds and types.
Please, where do you find Crown brushes? Love your videos!
❤❤❤
♥️
Could we get a video how you care for and cleanyour tools?
Especially sponges for longevity!
Are the shopmissa brushes as well as those you recommended? I am thinking of buying them
For anyone with sensitive eyes, I would avoid the Real Techniques brushes. Have both and can’t use them because they scratch over time. Lots of people love them though…
Love the Lashes! Its hard to find Lashes that are longer in the middle. Us older gals don't look good in the Cat eye style, they drag your eye down.
Where do you buy the crown brushes?
Zebrena I was wondering, if you thought that the elf duo complexion brush could be a dupe for, the IT costmatice
Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection Makeup Brush #7?
Love, love, love, LOVE your lip color in this video 😍
Also I appreciate the schedule you put on Instagram ❣️ and yes please DO the new lashes, I'm curious how they would look on me!
I've loved your stories on Instagram lately btw!
Love you Zabrena ❤️ 😘 11:29
Heya! Thank you for the love! Trying to get back to consistency! Hugs and love to you!
@@Zabrena yes ma'am I completely understand, I'm an organized Moma myself (4 boys and my husband of 23 years)
It's up to us Mom's to keep family and business going❣️
Just had my 1 year at my ipsy warehouse today, got my BIG anniversary in December, I worked hard and it paid off 👍👍
I love your tutorial, but I have hooded eye and small eyes as well😢, my problem is that the outer v gets out of control too fast. Since I need to do my outer v in the shape of a 7, I cannot find a brush that blends without going to high.
Hey Zebrena, i life in the Netherlands, where can i order for the Crown brushes. Thank you in advance!
Hmm I've never heard of the Crown line.
Great video always a like 👍👍 I'm sending out love to everyone 💙💛❤💚💜
Hello beautiful Zabrena 😍
I’ve found that it’s not necessary for me to buy expensive brushes. As long as I wash (not soak) them regularly with gentle soap in water no warmer than lukewarm and dry them flat, they last me a very long time. I mostly use EcoTools and Real Techniques brushes.
Can anyone please share where you can purchase the Crown brushes? Didn’t see anything on Amazon. Thanks!
crownbrush.com :)
So where can you buy Crown brushes?
crownbrush.com :)
Why did I think that Crown and Morphe brushes were the same thing? I’m sure i read somewhere that Crown makes a line for Morphe. Maybe I’m mistaken.
They are.
czcams.com/video/PAP6GdyI1B8/video.html
Stephanie Nicole addresses it in her video from several years ago.
Love, love, love, your videos, but as far as the eyelashes go....leave those at home for the little ones to play with....!!! Not a fan of that pair but, your beautiful. Love your hair color.!!!!!
Can you one day show all your eye makeup application on camera? You always come back on camera with full lashes, liner etc. But never show the whole application...
Hi Gorgeousness I want to share a few affordable brands that use soft bristles for an equally soft price: Stilazzi Brushes & Hank & Henry. Btw, H&H will have 75% off sales *often* so that a $16 brush, for ex, will sell for $4 but you must be on their mailing list to take advantage of the sale. Stilazzi brushes have wonderful 40-50% off sales several times/year. Both bands are soft, dense & will last quite a while with the usual Brush TLC . *Be blessed in Him* always & in all ways xx
