Zabrena, I’m 71 years old and I love glitter eye shadow! I also love all your tips and tricks. Thanks!!!
YAY!!! I’m 54 in Dec and I freaking love my makeup. I love it all. I always think will I stop as I get older and I’m glad to hear you’re still wearing what you love!!! I seriously hate when you see articles what women over 50 shouldn’t be wearing. So you turn 50 and glitter and shimmers have to stop and wear boring makeup? Yeah, don’t think so!!! You have any favorites you want to share? ☺️
Go on ladies!! There is no age limit when it comes to having fun with makeup and using it to express your personality! I'm 35 and jave pastel pink hair and a septum ring. My family all told me I was having an early mid life crisis but i dont think so - my outside matches my personality and i enjoy it so thats good enough for me thank you! 😌❤️
I recently got my 74 year-old mom into shimmery, glittery shadows and I’m pretty sure we’ll both go into our graves wearing it! 😂
I love glitter eyeshadow!! I wear different colors everyday I'm almost 40!
@@andreasimmens-porter5482 same here . I’m 48 and love it all! 🥰
Thank you so, so much for this video. I'm 56 and a cancer survivor. My skin changed drastically due to a hysterectomy and chemotherapy. I don't recognize my skin anymore. I feel like the skin on my face is losing its elasticity and my eyelids are drooping. I think it's due to not having estrogen. I have been really struggling with my makeup. Thanks to you I have made my list and tomorrow I'm buying new products. You have no idea what this means to me. You are an angel and I can't thank you enough.
I am 56 and I can say that all of these tips are right on!!! I even learned something.....to apply my foundation with a sponge dampened with setting spray! The only I could possibly add, is to apply powder eye shadow in little tiny circles on the eye skin (especially in the crease) instead of using windshield wiper motions. That way there won't be the splotchiness due to loose skin being moved around.💜
I’m 72 and I think your tips are right on! The only thing I do differently is to wear one of the newer more high makeups that contain skin care and are a more natural finish. The dewy, radiant foundations just magnify my texture. Of course I’m a LOT older than you!😊
I’ve been waiting for you to do this for my 57 yr old face!!!! Thank you sweet darling❤PS…I have 3 brow hairs and 3 hairs on one leg and 2 on the other 😂😂😂
Tina you are timeless and you know it girl!!
Tina: I’m 2 years ahead of you and can totally relate. 😂. I don’t mind the naked legs now, but my eyebrows have become a real issue. ✌🏻💖💄
Lol, I'm 58 and my neanderthal eyebrows have finally shrunk to something smaller than normal. They use to go down the side of my eyes, lol
My brows have been complete creations since I was 17. Overplucked; Mom wasn't home. I'm lucky to have the bottom line on each brow to build from. I currently use three products every time: a pencil, a felt-tip with three prongs, and a powder. They are beautiful when I'm done, but a lot of work! PS: I'm 63 next month! Lots of time spent on these brows...
63 & counting, friends. I haven't gotten around to counting my eyebrow hairs, I'm busy counting my vertical lip lines (sigh...12, 13, 14...)
As a tip to help any dry patches on the face, use a hydrating eye cream to spot treat those dry patches. Use it after your moisturizer but before your primer.
I so enjoy watching your videos. I'm 54 in a few months I'll be 55 and watching you I learn a lot. Thank you 💜
I'm still in my early 30s but love all of the advice. I tend to do my makeup more like this anyway, but I'm always willing to learn more.
Me too 😀. I am in my early 30's and apply my makeup like this. But I agree great advice to learn a few more new tricks.
I absolutelly love this video, because it’s more realistic and affordable for everyday girl.
Thanks for this video. I’m almost 62 years and appreciate these tips. Really like the L’Oréal concealer. Purchased on your recommendation. You’re such a beautiful person inside and out!!!
Your haaair!! I'm sooo jealous of that curl!! And of course your applications with makeups R beautiful!
My mom is 70. She hardly ever wears makeup. But sometimes she wants to dress up a bit or she just feels tired and wants to look a little more put together. As someone who likes makeup, but only really knows what works for me these video are amazing. I use a lot of these tips (mid 20's). I have a combo to dry skin. I use cream products more and it has made such a difference!
🥰 You’re so pretty 😍 How refreshing, a MUA telling us we are “allowed” to still wear glitter make up, at or over the age of 40. I now feel awful if I dare to go against the rule! Also I appreciate that you’re using affordable make up, that most of us can afford. Due to disability and palliative care, I don’t have money for high end make up. Even though I’m bed bound, I enjoy doing my make up. It might seem pointless to many, since I don’t get up, but it passes time, and distracts from pain and the situation. It also helps my Children to not see me looking deathly pale 🫣 which in turn makes them feel better. Thanks so much for all these recommendations ♥️ especially the elf ones - they will be going on my Christmas list. 🎄
Another great product to use for feathering lipsticks, is a clear lip liner. I know it doesn't sound like much but let me tell you it works wonders for keeping lip colors inside the lip lines. Stay blessed!
I really appreciate that your videos show affordable options. I love makeup, I love it all!
I REALLY loved this episode! It be great if monthly you had one episode on a certain day that was a review / suggestion day on products for 40 and above. :)
Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen! That is my recommendation for everyone, young and old. That is the easiest thing one can do to slow the appearance of age. I know this isn’t the focus on this video but I had to say it. ☺️
Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful tips. I’m 60 and have already been doing many of these techniques. I have to add my favorite complexion products.... the Elf primer, the Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator, the NYX Bare With Me concealer, and of course the Elf Halo Glow Powder. I have crepey eyelids, and use mostly matte shadows. But I will use the cream and sugar palette shimmers on the middle of my lid. The setting spray that works best is the Catrice Illuminating setting spray!!
@@johannaholmgren8088 Agree! 100%!
Thank you for sharing. Can you share if you have dry/combo/oily/normal?
Do you use SPF? Which one works best for you?
I’m 55 and tried your tips this morning. My skin looks Dewey and healthy. Thank you for the great advice🙂
Awesome video! I’m 47, almost 48; and I have hooded eyes. One thing I do to make my eyes look more open is to reverse the outer corner and the lid shade. So the inner 1/3 is your dark shade and the outer 2/3 is your lid shade. You can still add a touch of shimmer or highlighter to the inner corner to add light and more drama. It really opens the eyes. Also use a darker shadow to line under the eye to sweep up in a under the eye started wing.
Have you invited Zabrena over for a week yet? ;)
@@mala3isity If Zabrena ever comes to Northern Illinois, she would be more than welcome.
@@auntieliz930 :)
I want to try this!
Looking great for 39 💜💜
What a thorough, thoughtful video! My 70 yr old face thanks you! 💖
You are most welcome!
Colourpop makes a great lip primer in a stick that is invisible. It keeps my lipstick ON MY LIPS. No migrating lipstick! or lip liner!
It’s called Lippie Stix, color: Primer.
Thanks for this video. I think your suggestion of using a makeup sponge to lift the skin on the orbital bone is BRILLIANT!! ❤🤗✝️
Thank you so very much! At 65 I appreciate any help I can get! Keep up sharing your words of encouragement & scripture passages!
When you first mentioned leaving the lower lash line bare to help look younger I tried it and I agree. It works for me and I have been doing it ever since.
Hey Zabrena! You're so polite when you talk to us "older ladies!" Telling us about more mature lips and the "tiny lines" around them! Where do you see tiny lines? Mine are crevasses, like the deep canyons in the mountains! I use a filler stick by NYX, then a creamy concealer. Once the concealer has set, I use NYX lip liner in "Peekaboo Neutral" to line and fill. I push it into the lip with a fingertip, then blot with a tissue. Then I apply gloss or lipstick over for the starting lip of the day. Colored balms only for touchups later in the day; once that lip liner has faded, there's no turning back. Now if I could just figure out how to make my hair stay put without getting hairspray on my face...
@@johannaholmgren8088 You know, the man in my life and home has plenty of baseball caps! Thanks for the tip!
Thank you for the patient and well informed approach to this subject! You are so kind and graceful in your delivery for this topic! I hope your family is doing well!
I've been leaving my under eye plain and it work beautifully without makeup especially the mascara love it, thanks to you Amiga 🌹
I'm 37, and I recently picked up the e.l.f poreless putty primer because I wanted to try something w/ thicker consistency because I have skin that's on the drier side. I really like it. It sits nice under my foundation and makes my skin look smoother and more "plump." I apply it and wait like 10 mins or so before foundation.
Do you also apply sunscreen underneath? I wear it everyday and the problem of products piling on top of my sunscreen is one i always consider!
Sadly it did not work for my mature dry skin.age 49.
I forget I have that. I’m pulling it out now so I can wear it today
Girl you’re gonna have to get you a backup for the “I like you a latte” palette for that one shade! It’s my favorite shade in that palette too. It’s ever so slightly cooler than the other mid tone. It’s perfection.
thank you for giving us drugstore products for mature skin ,the more skin lines is hard to find ways to look good 👍the sponge trick is great
This makeup look is beautiful! It's fresh and natural, I feel it would be flattering both on mature and young skin and it would be very romantic and timeless as a wedding makeup.
Newbie here. I absolutely love your vids. My one concern and it is barely mentioned is sunscreen. I feel for aging skin it is so important to protect it as much as possible. Please share with us what you do to protect from the sun’s harmful rays
I agree! She has such beautiful fair skin. there has to be a great sunscreen in the collection!
I am ALLLLLL about the SPF. I live in Seattle and I still put sunscreen on before leaving the house…I struggle to find one that isn’t greasy, doesn’t break me out, and without a price tag that necessitates skipping a few meals a day!!
Milani just came out with a SPF30 SETTING SPRAY! Isn't that awesome!
I’m sorry, I believe most people use sunscreen as skincare and not makeup. She also didn’t mention eye cream for prep. While if someone didn’t mention a skincare product in a makeup video does not mean it isn’t used.
Such a beautiful face! No wrinkles, toned, you are gorgeous!
I love watching your videos. As a woman with an oily complexion, who lives in Florida, and is also 39 I find I relate to you more than anyone else. That being said, I'm 100% team lower lash mascara. 😂 It looks beautiful on you, but I feel like mine disguise any fine lines in my under eye area.
That is awesome! You gotta do what works for you and gives you confidence! Thank you for sharing your perspective!
Love the tutorial!!!
Thank you so much! I love your videos ❤️
Your hair is absolutely beautiful! I have wavy hair and I love it. When I was doing hair for a living it always amazed me that people with curly hair wanted straight hair and people with straight hair was curly hair. Just enjoy how God made you! It's so much easier and you can always find beautiful ways to do your hair no matter how it grows out of your scalp. Be happy you have hair! Some women don't!
We needed this video. Thank you!
Thank you for another great video. I love seeing that you hit pan on your eyeshadow. It’s so nice to see an influencer use their makeup and not constantly recommend buy this new product.
Love, love, love this makeup look. Will be getting the eye shadows and the blush. Tks so much I'm 59 and I am a skin care an makeup fanatic. Love you Zabrina
A wonderful video and thank you for giving us options for high-end stuff
Oh wow just the video I needed! Thank you!
Honest beauty, thank you!
Very helpful, thanks!
Great video Zabrena, and congratulations on the continued success of your channel!
All, I am 57. I started wearing Oil of Olay face cream when I was 16. My tip for everyone to keep your neck and chest from wrinkling is to put your face cream on your neck and décolletage (chest). My face, neck and chest have no wrinkles. Friends my age never put their moisturizer on their neck and their neck looks like they are in their 80’s
The Elf Wow Brow is the BEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO EYEBROWS! No messing with pencils anymore. AND it covers up gray hairs in the brows!
All your videos are great, however this one is one of the best! Thank you
Beautiful!
Fantastic tips!
Thank you for all the tips🌹
Fabulous video as always!!!
Love this ohhh my gosh
I just loved this video . I’m older and this was filled with great finds
🎉🎉🎉 Beautiful as always. Love the background ❤
Thank you for this video. I am 56 and have good skin, but love new tips and products. No glittery products for me! I need matte but love drama. You really hit the mark with this video. Yay girl! So true with under eye advice!
Gorgeous! ❤️
Thank you so much for this video❤❤
thank you zabrena for these great tips
You look awesome! God bless you!
Wonderful video, Zabreena!!! Great information.❤❤❤
I’m so glad I found you. I’m red head and freckles so I’m following you. Ty
Thanks for another BRILLIANT video!!
i find myself watching your videos o mute and still learning sooooo much!!
I hope you and your family are doing well and are safe and healthy!!
Thank you so much!!
Great tips, Thank you so much.
Thank you for your setting spray video I think last week? I have it and rarely used it until you really explained and showed what it did! Changed my makeup game!
Just starting watching Super tips!!!
What a great video Zabrena! It was so informative and detailed. Thank you taking the time to make it. Blessings!!!
Thank you so much for these tips! I love Covergirl Creme lipsticks, they are so underrated💖
Thanks for the morning chuckle. I'm old enough to be your mother. I chuckled when you talked about mature skin at 39. I have super sensitive dry eyes so powder on my eyes is a no go. I find using cream sticks, my preference, is sometimes hard because my mature eye skin moves all over. I deal with it but. I would love to see you applying cream shadow on a real woman in her 50's or 60's with the tips and tricks I would love it. Thanks for your hard work and memories of when my kiddos were young.
As usual, another great tutorial! You never disappoint me. ❤️
Awesome Tips !! Great video! Also the Elf WOW Brow is one of My Go-to Always Repurchase and Use products!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much! I hate the makeup that accentuates the fine lines and dries out the skin. This has helped me a lot!
Thank you for addressing some problems that we not young beautiful women may be having with makeup application. I am 73 and look pretty darn good for my age. A couple of thoughts..SUNSCREEN, always clean and moisturize, and day before yesterday I was 28 years old. YES, IT'S THAT FAST. Enjoy life. Take care of yourself and pray.
Thank you gorgeous! I’m 48 and I need all the advice and tips I can get. Love ya. God bless, Steph! Oh and girrrrrl your lash line is still my favorite!
Thank you for sharing the best way to find your lip colour 🫶🏼👏
Thank you so much for this I formative video. I have been doing makeup for a very long time but, you have given tips I never heard before. You look lovely and very young.
Hey Zabrena! I wanted to thank you for all your hard work and passion you put into these videos! You are really helping many of us in so many ways!! I love your tips!! You're such a beautiful person inside and out! 💕 Thank you and much love sent to you!!! Xo Jody
Thank you so much. I appreciate you so much. You are gorgeous. God bless you and your precious family
Thank you for this video! I appreciate the tips on the eyeshadow. I'm 50 and needed these tips.
Have to thank you for your truly waterproof mascara testing video! I just had vacation and was trying to think what to bring and try for the beach and pool and remembered you did that video. I checked it out and got the exhibitionist waterproof (two stores to find the last one) and it was great with kids splashing me and nothing looking messy. It came off with Clinique take the day off balm pretty easily with gently rubbing too. Thank you - first one that actually made my lashes look good. Others are hard to apply clumpy and just not good.
I started leaving mascara off my lower lashes probably about 3-4 yrs ago and it definitely helps with a more youthful appearance IMO. I’m in my early-mid 40’s. My lashes are nice and long, even the bottom ones so it was giving me shadows making my hollows more noticeable with mascara. I have very oily skin and so that helps me look youthful but using cream products is also a help too and can be done if applied correctly for my skin type. Everything was a learning curve for me after 33. We have to switch up routines to keep it fresh. I never had much brow hair anyways lol, also blonde so brow products are a MUST. TFS all the tips! 💕
Thank you so much for the informative great inspired video. It makes more people want to Branch out and to make up. People with aging or just regular skin I would feel more comfortable using your techniques now that you taught them which we all truly appreciate thank you kindly!
Patrick Ta recommends putting his cream blush over the powder. I don’t have his palette, so I tried it with what I have. It looked beautiful and lasted all day. I was quite pleased and have taken to using that technique routinely.
Very nearsighted 38 year old here, and I only line my eyes with eyeshadow. It just works the best for me.
My Mum promises that hair growth does slow down on the legs... eventually.
I have never liked anything on my lower lashline-good to know it will help as I get older!
So beautiful!😻
At 75, I have found that continued use of great skincare is an absolute necessity. I have used Lancôme and Estée Lauder skincare for years and with good genes as well, I have very few wrinkles.
I also worked in an aluminum foundry so used a full coverage foundation to help protect my skin from all the crap in the air.
Happy Birthday beautiful. Many Blessings
Love this! Super helpful. Out of curiosity, do you have any plans of doing more of your makeup history/icons videos? Those were the ones that initially pulled me into watching your content. It’s been a while since I’ve seen one pop up.
Thank you so much for this video. I’m 51 with dry skin, so all of this information was pertinent to me. I love your videos and have learned so much from you. Thank you!
I've been watching a lot of beauty and make up videos, and I have to say your video, voice and description of products is the best I've seen so far. Thank you for this informative way of helping the aging women look youthful.
Thank you!
I am 58 and love your content! I was so surprised and pleased to see you use the Grown Alchemist Hydra Repair Day Cream. I have been using it for two years ever since I received it by chance in a Fab Fit Fun box. XO
Hi there, Zabrena!! I sooo appreciate your videos!! All of them!! This one was very helpful to me. I'm 56 years young, and I live in the Florida humidity, so your tips for combo/oily skin, are so awesome!! Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!! Take care. ❤️
THANK YOU!! I love this video. I’m 66, and can’t wait to try the products that you have mentioned. I was stunned to find out that is non-feathering lip liner! That one is going to be more than welcome in my beauty kit.
Love and Blessings to You!
Love this video ❤❤❤❤❤
I set my face with powder after primer. Great results!
Can't believe you are 39! Gorgeous skin 👏🏻
Hi Z! Love these tips! Very helpful and I love spending time with you.💜 I have been using the Wet and Wild impossible primer in n the pink tube and I would put above a lot of high-end primers that I have used in the past. Wet and Wild photo focus Dewey foundation is superior!!! Love and blessings to you and your family💜💜🍂🍂🧡🧡🙏🙏
I just discovered you tonight (& subscribed), & love the few video's I've seen thus far. I am a fair redhead, too, (though my hair is auburn). I have hazel eyes, & favor all shades of green, bronze, sienna, cinnamon , as well as Grey's & mauves/pinks. Your lip colors are my favorites, as well. What I'm trying to say, is that I've finally found someone with my coloring , who mentors over age 40 women dealing with maturing skin issues. Thank you for helping us glow, in an age where the industry is hyper focused on teens/twenties.
I also love your kind, generous, spirit, that adds to your incredible beauty! Given these hard times, following the Covid-19 yrs. , when our money seems to be shrinking, as prices are climbing to outrageous levels, your emphasis on "Drug Store" make-up options is appreciated. (Last I checked, a Charlotte Tillbury lipstick costs $37 ! ) I think the quality of Drugstore makeup has also improved dramatically , rivaling legacy luxury brands.
As I was watching your well thought through videos, I felt encouraged to add a few of my favorite products, here. Since my discovery of BB Cream Foundations, it has been a game changer. I'm 56, & have taken great care of my skin from my teens, faithfully using sunscreen, & age appropriate skin care. Skincare is the foundation from which all our make-up can glow. BB Cream is kind-of like skincare. You can also mix up your own, by mixing your Foundation with your moisturizer, blending on your hand, to apply over your primed skin. Talk about glowing! It works wonders! Also, someone mentioned sunscreen , & I found Milani has a SETTING SPRAY with SPF30 in it. How cool is that! Also wanted to give a shout out to Amazon for offering every brand out there at 1/2 the price of Drugstores. Plus, there are many good Indy brands offered, too, to explore. Most items are returneable, if they don't turn out. Read the reviews to gain perspectives on the product, so you make a good choice.
I look forward to watching more of your video's.
God bless - Cheryl
