  • Tired of waiting hours for the perfect rack of ribs? Well, wait no more! In this video, I'll guide you through the art of cooking ribs hot and fast, making it the ideal weeknight meal or when it's too cold outside. Stick around until the end for a quick tip on elevating your grilled ribs, and I'll also share one potential setback to this speedy cooking method.
    For hot and fast ribs, you’ll need to cut the ribs into single bones. This not only reduces cooking time but also adds a delightful bark all around the rib - a major flavor boost! Please avoid rubs with sugar. They will burn! Instead experiment with adding a sugary rub towards the end of the cook. You’ll want to add the bbq sauce at the end as well.
    Say goodbye to long cooking times and hello to mouthwatering ribs in a flash. Leave the low n slow ribs for the weekend so you can go out there and enjoy the experience.

      thanks Ron! I had to do this. My hot and fast vortex ribs was a popular video and had to remake it without the vortex this time.

    In the Navy as well as the rest of the Armed Forces, ribs cut up into two rib portions. Now, we didn't use a grill or smoker, it was a preboil and oven action. Feeding over a couple thousand people in a 5 hour meal is a challenge. This is a great tip as you described.

    • @SJCOOKS
      @SJCOOKS  Před 6 měsíci

      Very cool. I can't imagine having to feed that many people. Thanks Paulie!

    They looked fantastic Sal. I've done them hot and fast as a whole rack on the elevated grate above the charcoal with vents wide open flipping every 20 mins. They come out fantastic but taste more like pork chops than ribs. Still worth a try. Nice cook!

    • @SJCOOKS
      @SJCOOKS  Před 6 měsíci +1

      never done direct on the kettle before. but have done on the gabby's grill. it takes closer to 2hours but I usually end up wrapping like at 90 minutes. I need to make another video on this soon

      @@SJCOOKS If you have the elevated grate, give them a try on that. It's closer to the heat and they get a great taste.

    Damn brother, incredible. Have you tried the Mole sauce on beef short ribs? If the weather allows, thats my next weekend cook, and I'm down to make a mole sauce.

    • @SJCOOKS
      @SJCOOKS  Před 6 měsíci +1

      I haven't tried it on short ribs before but bet it's outstanding. I experimented around with some chopped tri tip and was a big fan so I think most beef would go great!

    You forgot to mention that you can achieve a delicious hot and fast ribs only with baby back ribs, not with spare ribs. Baby back ribs are meatier and leaner. Spare ribs need longer to cook since they have more fat and cartilages.

      @SJCOOKS  Před 6 měsíci +1
