This is what I look to hear and see, as a 63 year newby I want to learn whatever I can even the basics.
Iâm going to be making more videos like this so⊠click the bell to get notified.
Interesting, thanks!

Thankyou Keith, I've started with basic (now I know 'grove') and I was wondering where i'm going with it, now I know I'm on the right track.
Awesome. I am going to be doing a lot more like those videos. Iâm thinking of a members section or something so I donât mess up the channel. Not sure yet
Yeah exactly...when you hear bobby play irresistible b***h hes groovin to the lynn drum machine prince used some very nice fills on that!
Hey Keithron. What is the perfect or the basic Grove to play at church
The simpler the better. The goal for the church drummer is to not stand out. To not draw attention so that worship can take place without people losing focus on God and putting it on you. Thatâs not to say be a robot but it is to say the âgloryâ is not yours. Play what moves the music for the intended purpose. Ironically this should be the focus of all drummers, in any genre.
Don't think I'll be buying or promoting any more Simmons products in my drum covers. Been playing the SD 1250 for a little over a year now and they don't hold up. Snare missing a lot of hits lately and had a bunch of other problems. Wrote Simmons and they don't even respond. Guess they are too busy to take care of their customers.
Sorry to hear that. I havenât had those issues. I will pass along your concerns. Nope, I do not work for them. I just wanna see if I can help. What are the major issues that you have?
@@KeithronPowell It's the snare. Doesn't register all of the hits. I took the drum head off and the little cone near the top side does nothing. The big one in the middle works. Noticed the foam cone that isn't working is reversed wired with the black on top of the piezo. Have you ever had the head off to see if that cone registers anything? Wrote Simmons twice asking about it and never got a reply. Not the module because I have 2 modules and does it on both. Also, one crash cymbal barely works on the edge hit and 1 of my modules won't play the bell sound on the ride cymbal. I play 2-3 hours every day, so I give them a good workout.
Have you taken the snare back to GC? Like physically walking it in?
