take the 5 allen bolts out of the back of the exaust and remove the silver cover. then drill 5 nice size holes on the plate inside. i drilled the holes in between the threaded holes for the cover. way louder but not over loud. Then bolt the silver cover back on. You cant even tell you did it but you can hear it. I did this on my 2023 bolt r spec i just bought.

I did but the video came out crappy. It does sound better though. I decided to go louder and ordered a radiant cycles shorty GP exhaust. its going to sound awsome. Should be here tomorrow.@@McFamilyOH

I agree about the seat, its god to about 100 miles then regular stops are needed to bring back the feeling to your butt. Not got an issue looking at the speedo, I can read it in any light. Yes the tank is small and it can be a pain thinking ahead about your next fuel stop. And yeah the exhaust is very quiet, but my neighbours dont mind.

What area are you located? I'm in eastern NC. I have a 2014 exactly like it. Also have a 81 ford F100 in great shape. I'm also 5'10" and I can tell you forward controls would get old as well. Best to get hyw pegs or a crash bar with pegs. I have a loud exhaust and as mentioned previously it gets annoying on long trips. This is actually my 5th bike. My last one was a Road King. I sold it because it was a pain to get in and out of the garage for quick rides. This bike is easy to keep, easy to ride and quicker than a lot of Harleys. Road King did ride much better at 70 to 110 mph. I have the original seat and it feels like getting a tetanus shot after about an hour. Probably reason why the tank is so small. It makes you stop often to get blood back in your butt. The CSPEC seat looks like it would be comfortable but everything after market to me is ugly and expensive.

Loud pipes don't save anything. Sound from pipes are directed BEHIND you and to the side. An oncoming car doesn't hear your pipes any better. People keep thinking loud pipes are "safer", even though several people have actually researched it. Save your hearing and don't get crazy about the pipe cackle.
Everything you complained about, you can fix by modifying your bike. Remember that when you go to sell it, the next buyer would probably buy it bone stock, as opposed to something heavily modified. Lots of bikes get passed over because of paint/stickers/handle bars, goofy mods. The likelihood of you keeping this bike for a very long time, are next to nothing.
You would probably be far better off, riding the bike as is for a while, selling it, and buying a bike already set up the way you want one. New bikes are exciting, but you lose your shirt in depreciation. A nice low mileage bike makes better sense.

Actually in city driving the sounds bounce off the cars, buildings, and so it does save lives. I have had many people look up just before they were going cut me off and crash into me.
