ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it's true. So what's motivating me?? I had a huge tumor removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumor was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn't an easy time but I won't let fear dictate my life. I didn't think 'why me', there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it's not always smooth sailing. It's true when you hear, 'Life is short', the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It's so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?

It's great to relate to these artists but to say any artist saved anyone is just massively discounting the strength we all have inside. We all have the strength to come out of any pain or struggle. Sometimes it takes music to feel like someone is walking beside you. For me my faith helped most, but I had plenty of music that helped a bit. Ultimately though, I had to decide whether or not I wanted to stay in the funk I was in. I decided to work at picking myself up no matter how long it took. I can honestly say I'm in a much better place now and everyone can get there. Doesn't matter what you've been through or how you're feeling, you have the strength to rise out of that pain and suffering. Sorry for the rant. Just feel like people don't give themselves enough credit.

that's why he's the best singer there is. His songs are relatable for everyone from the people stuck in the hood to people in the sticks and even rich people living in their mansions.
You can see his soul on his face. And hear his broken heart in his voice.

This song reminds me of a friend of mine who passed away last year. Jelly Roll was his favorite artist. Alcohol took his life. He passed away in his jail cell after his body went into shock from withdrawals. I miss him so much. I can’t go anywhere without seeing his face.

Sorry brother. I came really close to dying the same way but thankfully the police officer listened to me when I told him if he took me to jail it was going to kill me. he looked at me like a disappointed dad would. Right at that moment a second police officer came on scene and asked him what was going on. He instantly said " it's this guys lucky day. I'm taking him home so he can get some help." Then looking down at me, continued saying" he's not going to be a problem for us again right son! I said I promised I couldn't even stand and wasn't drunk. I'd been basically sleeping for a week waking up to chug something and fall asleep. The side of my body that I was laying on the whole time was literally purple really dark purple. It looks like I was already dead and lividity had set in. When I got to hospital they put me on an IV the doctor looked out at me and said we have to admit him just look at him. That was the last thing I remembered until I woke up over 2 weeks later still not being able to walk or even really control my arms or legs. I wish I knew the cops name that did that for me instead of just looking at me like the piece of s*** I was and just taking me to jail. It took a lot of work but I totally turned my life around I'm not perfect but I'm no longer trying to kill myself. They told me in the hospital I probably wouldn't make it out I proved him wrong that was almost 15 years ago. They sent me home with a walker because I couldn't walk on my own well yet I'm still learning but I left that Walker sitting in front of that hospital and never looked back.

It’s a Shure Sm7 ( B ) microphone.. It’s a dynamic mic not a condenser, so it surprising how well it pairs with his voice here. Jelly Roll & his engineer did great!

This man literally talked me down off my ledge with his music...Jelly Roll has clearly been through some shit ya know... And his music validated my feelings and made me feel like I WASNT CRAZY...and that the pain I was feeling from my spun out lifestyle and failed families, failed careers, failed relationships..life had really beaten me down and I listened to one song after another and went through this process where I would listen therapeutically almost constantly until I was able to walk out of my darkest days with my chest out and my chin up...proud of who I am and what I survived in my life and realized I wasn't worthless like I felt I was...I realized I am a BEAST... JELLY ROLL if you read this.. from the bottom of my heart Thank you for saving my life... you'll never really know how much of an impact your music has made on the world...in my world for sure...

My mother was born in the late 50s. She came up listening to music of Elvis, The Beatles, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, Garth Brooks, to even folks like Coolio, DMX, LL Cool J, and 2Pac.(yes....the rap was because of her son...lol)
Yes, my mother is the reason for my love of a massive range of music. She was always engaged...and even enjoyed the music I loved.

I’m from Lexington Kentucky and I was an independent hip hop artist for quiet sometime . God has since put me on a different path but jelly roll knows and did music with some of my good friends. I’ve been following jelly since the 10 minute freestyle and the haystack days. I’ve seen his struggle to break down through the music industry and I’ve seen the grind that he has been on. To see what he’s doing now, the doors that are opening and amazing progressions he’s made as an artist makes, my heart smile. I feel like while jelly roll wins, we win in our culture. he’s been talented and versatile since way back. Much love and happiness for you jelly.

@@fellybuddy Do you mean she said she has long-term effects within the last three months, or was that tweet from a while ago? I had it over a year ago, the first UK wave, it left me with psoriatic arthritis, psoriatic uveitis, and other psoriasis-related autoimmune diseases that are usually lifelong, relapsing and remitting once an infection sets them off. Nobody warned me that's likely to happen after an infection if you have psoriasis! Singing and listening to music keeps me going. I hope Rebecca sees a rheumatologist, that's how I found out which autoimmune diseases so-called "long-covid" is in my own case.
