Awesome. Check out Jessie McGuire’s version as well. Both very talented musicians.
1:36 Does anyone know why he plays C7 with the first valve down. Is it a pitch thing?
No, it is Not a pitch thing. It is a physics thing. His lips are buzzing around 10,000 times a second. Some valve combinations (although technically called for) do not work well, if at all, at this range. At this range, any valve combination can produce the pitch which is controlled completely by air pressure and embouchure. I was stuck on double A for 20 years until I started trying new valve combinations (along with practicing two hours a day). When I started experimenting with different valve combinations, I was able to climb out of my rut. There are no reliable fingering charts at double C.
@@kxrider441 Interesting. Back in the day when I played trumpet, I used the same fingerings in the third octave as I did in the second octave.
Austin lee is right, but it could also be a thing with his trumpet because it is likely custom made.
3c....c7...ouch!!
