Your patience and care doing this because you so much enjoy doing it, is amazing. The result is just another great review. Thanks!

Generally I prefer play thoughs vs reviews or unboxing videos. This one was had a bit of all three which I really enjoyed. Well done.

I personally love this game as a big fan of the War of the Worlds franchise, and the fact that the game is set in the original 1898 universe is, to me, just perfect. I can't wait to some day get the other versions (right now I just have England).

Nice work Grant thanks. I'd definitely want to play this while having the immortal Jeff Wayne War of the Worlds album as the soundtrack!

Excellent overview, thanks - I've browsed this off the shelf a few times - its now closer to my 'acquire' list.
If you do want to quibble about place names then it may help to know that leicester = lester, rather than lyster, norwich = the o is like orange and the w is silent...

Excellent video, I enjoyed that, Grant, the game looks good fun. Leicester is pronounced “Lesster” and Norwich is pronounced “Norridge” (sounds like porridge) but hey, we all have local oddities in our countries - and I wasn’t laughing! Andy [They Come Unseen - Osprey Games]

Great game. I have France, England, and USA. The United States one is the best, the extra Tesla rules and options really makes a difference. I completely ignore the saucer rules, which I find completely unneeded and too harsh. I have played all three together at the same time, with the mega League of Terran Nations rules. It was a lot of fun.

You should have try the prononciation of the France game. Should have been a nice piece of laugh (try Rennes, Montcuq, Cholet, Le Mans, Lille, Lyon, Paris, Le Chesne, Belgique, Empire Allemand, Italie, Espagne, Marseille, Orleans.
Strange choice of name for many of them. For instance Montcuq is a really tiny village in France (but it's means phonetically my ass in french) and is in no way the largest city in south west of France (It's Toulouse....similiraly pronounced as Too loose...nice name isn't it for a game about the devastation of France by martians).
That serie is tempting me a lot in fact. But there's SO many games available and so little time to play them all. Should give a try some day though as it seems quite savorous and ferocious. And definitively giving me the desire to read again the book

Great Video, I think the France Game ist the Most ballanced one in the series. All others has the one or other issue, rule or gaming wise. But not in a way to make them bad Games. Just a bit more unballanced. One can really have Fun With the series. To combine them surely hast to be Epic 😃

Well the game conceptor is french. It could explain why it the more balanced :D (not a xenophobic remark...i'm french myself)

Publishing it as four separate games is a bit greedy.

Ehhh...what is worse is when they release a game that you know they intentionally left developed components out of to release as expansions(I’m looking at you Fantasy Flight). The four separate games allows me to pick the one that appeals most to me.

Are all the games stand-alone? If not which is the core game?

Its a game I wanted to like. Solo. Steam punkish. Sci Fi. Unfortunately, I have a rule. If a game comes out at the same time as an expansion FOR THE SAME GAME - that's two stikes. The number of unplayed DVG games in my collection was the third. Dan is designing games for rich people. I get twice as much play, for half the price from other manufactures. Sorry to be such a downer, but this marketing strategy is for the birds. MAYBE it would have been worth $60 if everything was in one box. Tough market Dan. My time is valuable. Dan I want you to change your attitude. Stop milking it. Give us bang for the buck, and stop trying to drain money from us.
