    This was going to be my breakout year of trying to make as many regionals as possible and seeing *if* I could get enough points, but it's now pretty much impossible. I understand the need to reduce the number of places, but 125 seems super low for an entire continent. Plus with the points available at regionals, you cant really afford to miss one

    I have a group of friends that I was gonna travel with this year inorder to get enough points to get to worlds. With these rule changes though that dream has been shattered since just going to 3 or so reginals, without getting top 4, is no longer remotely enough to get to worlds. I personally don't like these changes and from what I've seen online, that is the common consensus among players.

      It's almost like they're trying to make it professional only, but the whole appeal of pokemon is that anyone can play

    not a fan tbh, feels like you need to have a lot of money to travel constantly to make worlds now.

  • @StrafeEnt

    Also no one is talking about a potential reward system for dedicated players that functions similar to the recent fixed-CP system for invites, it's mentioned briefly in the post by Pokemon but the details are not listed.

    I don't mind worlds being more competitive, however punishing ties just feels like their intentionally trying to reduced deck diversity which is a huge turn off to me

  • @lodgedogg5611
    @lodgedogg5611 Před 7 dny +2

    everyone keeps saying people will play decks that dont tie as much when we all know it will just be they play the same deck and if they win round one they will slow play even more so they get the win

  • @JO-iv7tl
    @JO-iv7tl Před 7 dny

    This move is to curtail the growth of the game itself. Making it reward from the top down heavily makes this game even less accessable than it was before. Which is counterintuitive to how accessable the game has become at the ground level. With card singles being redily available, card shops/online, and overall card prices being lower. This decision feels one step forward and three steps backwards.

      I agree there should be more regionals, but i would kill to only have to drive 5 hours to a regional. The regionals at closest are like 8 hours apart. There is one regional on the west coast, one on the east coast, one in Canada (north, but also east) and one in Kentucky (central and also east). NAIC is in the south. Many Americans have a longer drive to even their closest regional.
