When I first bought my duplex, The first thing I did was change the furnace filter. Well, There is no room to get 20x25x5 in Because the concrete in my basement has a big bulge where the sewer line goes. They had an 18x20x4 Just sitting in there, Not changed in so long that it had become a solid brick of dust. Considering it didn't block off the whole space, I cannot imagine how long it had been there. Now i use a 20x25x1 and change it monthly because it fits.

There's nothing wrong with using Nu-brite. Most people who are afraid of it don't know how to use it. It won't damage a roof if you rinse it properly. You're not supposed to use it on hypercoils though; fin tube only.
