    I love it, I would not use the sand for this icicle look. I would use some deeper aqua shades. It reminds me of glaciers. It is stunning! I wonder what it would look like with an LED battery op candle inside! Thank you for being so generous in sharing your process. It is a journey. ❤️

    Sandy I’m a brand new subscriber and just loving your creations. I’ve worked with resin but not in creating the vases and what have you. Do you have a video showing step-by-step what you do? It seems like this one skips a lot of the instruction because maybe so many people have watched it and you don’t need it anymore.
    I tried doing it just from watching this but it just fell flat mostly because of timing I’m pretty sure. Anyway thanks for sharing your beautiful art and I look forward to watching many more videos

    • @SandyBeachBumTM
      @SandyBeachBumTM  Před 3 lety +1

      All of these videos are my 'step-by-step' processes. I don't think I leave anything out, or if I do, I say so. Every resin cures at a different rate and the weather is a contributing factor so it is a lot of trial and error. I still don't always get the look I am trying to achieve.

    I love your splash resin bowl. I have tried to make them but I have not found the right material to pour on. I tried parchment paper, but it made my bowl cloudy and I wanted it to look clear. I was also wondering what you meant when you talked about petri dishes to make a base when the sculpture wasn't flat. Can I find them on Amazon or do I have to get them someplace special?

    • @SandyBeachBumTM
      @SandyBeachBumTM  Před 25 dny

      if you find a clear shower curtain or clear plastic table cover, I found them at the dollar store, they were perfect to pour this on. And the petri dishes are just little round silicone moulds that I got on Amazon.

    How did you separate the two? Just pulled apart & inserted one into the other after removing the vinyl?

    • @SandyBeachBumTM
      @SandyBeachBumTM  Před 4 lety +1

      Yes, the vinyl between made them easy to separate. Then I used a little clear resin in the bottom of the larger one and inserted the smaller one to stick them together.

  • @cynthiatonn732

    • @SandyBeachBumTM
      @SandyBeachBumTM  Před 4 lety

    • @SandyBeachBumTM
      @SandyBeachBumTM  Před 2 lety +1

      It depends on the resin brand. Wait until you can touch the resin and not have any stick to your hand, but you can leave an imprint in it.

      @@SandyBeachBumTM the plate. Is that a lazy suzan? Plus 2 more questions. I may have missed it when do you take plastic off and I use (amazing) resin now but the one you use is a equal part mixing? I make coasters and jewelry so just want to use 1 type resin. Love your talent

    • @SandyBeachBumTM
      @SandyBeachBumTM  Před 3 lety

  • @vickster4474

    every training video I've watched have said to let these hang upside down for 6 hrs minimum before taking off

    • @SandyBeachBumTM
      @SandyBeachBumTM  Před 4 lety +1

      What led you to think I leave them any less than that? I let them hang overnight (8-12 hours) before removing the plastic sheet I poured them on, and then hang them again for 48 hours. What I have realized since making this bowl is that Art Resin is not good for this style because 3 weeks later, some of the longer spikes are still wanting to spread out too wide. It has hung upside down for two weeks and still they are too soft. I have started using East Coast Resin which is a much thicker product and has a much shorter drying time and works great. All spikes stay upright after 48 hours.
