- UPDATE: This was one of my first bowls and I have made over 30 of this bowl since and have changed how I do it. I now achieve lacing, I don’t use shells, I pour it slightly differently, etc. I did post an updated version but have tweaked it even more since then.
I used India Ink to colour the resin for this bowl, making it translucent. I really love the look of this bowl and I think you will too. All products used are linked below. Please like and subscribe if you enjoyed this video. Thanks!!
I am committed to posting videos of each and every piece I make so that we can learn together what works and what does not.

It looks like it could be enlarged to be a mounted sink bowl in upscale tropical themed guest bath/powder room! 💙💚
What a great idea! How does resin stand up to repeated washing? Would love to see this tried.
@@CatherineSTodd I would assume the same as pvc or plastic.
It is very beautiful
my thoughts exactly. i have a seabreeze RV with a faded yellow sink from age so i imagined replacing it with a larger scale one in the shape of the original sink with all sides over lapping like how waves splash onto rocks
It looks perfectly imperfect! Just like the ocean looks!! Don’t be disappointed!! Omg! It’s truly amazing!
i know 🏳⚧🏳⚧🏳⚧🏳🌈🏳🌈🏳🌈
The bowl you created is stunning. Beautiful work and the color is gorgeous.
Second time , I m watching ….
I couldn’t resist myself frm watching again …. It should b in some museums …
They are raising the prices of art supplies so much you cant hardly afford to do crafts anymore.
That's sad to know Tiffany. Crafts are a lifeline to so many. Thanks.
It isn’t THEY. It’s Biden economics.
Resin casting is an art for the rich. The resin alone is expensive.
I know?
Where do you get the art supplies at?
I love the seashells!! They make it feel like you’re looking at moving water. This is so creative and beautiful!
That's a brilliant concept. Green and blues are my favorite colors. Thank you for sharing.
Everything about the ocean bowl, so stunning! Fantastic job! 👏
Well... it cannot be denied that the final effect is splendid. This is a fact. It took a lot of work, but the final effect is splendid.
🇧🇷 Parabéns! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I actually like how the white turned out. It reminds me of the sea foam in the Caribbean waves.
Some interesting trivia. Hans Christian Andersen wrote in the Little Mermaid that mermaids turn into seafoam the moment they die. Makes one look at it differently - kind of beautiful but sad.
I LOVE How you showed real life problems someone starting out would run into !
I studied the tidepools many years ago and was doing cast resin as well for fun at that time. Your beautiful work makes me want to return to those wonderful days and do them all over again! And swim in the deep blues of the oceans you have created right here. Lovely! And thanks for showing us how!
It’s beautiful! But I’m 100% loving the way you’re sharing your learning experiences with us! As someone who is just starting to dabble myself, it’s so helpful and gives me the confidence to try new things. So, thank you!!
The beach is my happy place and this takes me there. Just gorgeous!
I think it turned out fabulous, and I do love the shells 🐚, they look like they're washing up in the waves 🌊 of the ocean!! Beautiful!!
Awesome Creation!!
Honestly, what you see as flaws, the white not lacing, I see as divine!
It's uniquely gorgeous.
I actually thought I was coming in to learn to create an above board sink.
Either way, I love your engeniousness.
Power On Girlie!
Thank you for working so hard to make such a beautiful bowl !!!
It's beautiful!!! Don't be so hard on yourself! You did great work! As Bob Ross once said ...
“We don’t make mistakes. We just have happy accidents.”
I think it looks cute with the Sea she'll on the bowl
Hello Sandy,
It’s a cold damp day in Torquay, Devon, England & I have whiled away the time watching you create your Teal,Turquoise vase which is almost the colour running through my veins. I am not very well & in my mid 70’s and colour brightens my day, literally. In years past we have spent several holidays in Florida & California, the Mediterranean but that special colour is saved for the Caribbean where our daughter was married.
Thank you for posting your videos, which are so time consuming, to fire others enthusiasm and I’m happy to sit back and watch you calmly produce your masterpieces.
You have given me a lovely warm glow today, thank you.
Best wishes
Jeanni.
Hi Jean! Thank you for your lovely comment and I am so happy that my videos brought some Caribbean warmth to your day. I’m sorry to hear you aren’t well - I hope that is just temporary and that you feel much better very soon. I was born in England - Yorkshire - and know how very cold the damp can be over there so stay tucked in and warm!
And where in the Caribbean was your daughter married? One of mine was married in the BVI! xxxx
The shells are actually a nice whimsical touch. It’s unusual to see and makes your bowl more unique
This is the coolest use of apoxy I have seen! The shells are cool, and the white looks like seafoam. I absolutely love it ❤
Красотааа! Я ни чего из объяснения не поняла, но посмотрела с огромным интересом. Восхищена результатом. Вы волшебница!
That is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen
What you are doing for all of us is inspiring! The problems you deal with , gently, help us deal with
things that go wrong along the way and turn out to be beautiful additions to our piece, just as yours
turned out---different from what you wanted and yet even more beautiful. Thank you for explaining
how things work for you leaving links to Amazon- --How could we not subscribe? After all you are doing the "heavy lifting", experimenting and refining and changing product to make the best art piece
ever . It's an honor to subscribe and another honor to "like" for your kind efforts.
Wow. Thank you so much for such a lovely and encouraging comment! I’m so glad you found my channel! Thank you for watching! 💙
I accidentally came across this and I just wanted to say..WOW😍😍
Yup! Same here, SO glad that I found your Video Lady!
Hey, I really like your bowl! Thanks for filming this like a real person and showing us how you learn from mistakes and try new things. It is so nice to see something that has been edited so much that you have no idea what the creator actually did!
I agree. I like that she is so real. It's nice to see how she fixes the little flaws since those are the types of things we will be running into. Just an awesome video.
CUAL ES LOS PRODUCTOS QUE USAS, NO SE INGLES, CREO QUE SE TIENE QUE TRADUCIR, MUY BUENO GRACIAS.
I absolutely love this Sandy...my daughter has the beach theme going so this is something we would love to try...love the ice crystals...gorgeous, stunning in fact♥️

Gorgeous! Thank you for showing and explaining all your steps - it makes me feel like my "Oh no! Well, let's just go with it" moments are just part of the learning process 😊
They absolutely are!! Just relax and enjoy learning!! 💙
That is so nice. You really captured the sea & ocean. 🌊
Absolutely love that bowl! You did a fantastic job.
Great looking bowl! Did you use Piñata any now for all of the colors!❤
I think this is absolutely GORGEOUS!! Ocean Bowl!
The shells are why I am watching this one. Love the design
That bowl is elegant and classy. I WISH it was mine. I want those colors for my living room plus white. So thrilled I accidentally ran into your video. This is exciting. I can't wait to start learning. Thank you for sharing your talent.
I was all like "meh, it's no way it would work", now, at the end of video, I am mesmerised. You are so creative, so natural, so resourceful! I love it!
We are our own worst critics. But know that everyone here has let you know how beautiful your bowl is, including me. Thanks for sharing. And as some commentators said, it is nice to see someone showing us how instead of "performing" for the camera, editing out just enough of the wait times but still showing content and even the mistakes. We all make them, we just need to know what to do about them. Seeing someone make them actually helps. Continue to be real with your videos. And for that reason, I will subscribe 🙃 Have a great day. Now off to see what else you have for me to watch.
one of the most beautiful pieces of art I've ever seen
🐇🕯I love how you show us the imperfections and things that went wrong and how to fix👏 That is a beautiful bowl...thank you for all your work....
I love that as she goes, sometimes things don’t go just right and she improvises and keeps moving. That’s the best and the bowl looks amazing!
This piece is outstanding!!!!! It takes quite allot of patience and talent to create. My hats off to you.
It looks wonderful, like the ocean and waves
On dirait l'écume d'une vague 🌊 👍
This is amazing. You are so creative. I love love love itl. There is nothing wrong with it. Just like waves. We are all our own worst critics. This is perfect and the shells are great
Amazing how you captured the realistic look of foam from the crashing waves. It's a very dynamic look; it feels like there's movement there.
I like the sea shells too!🧜🏻♀️
This is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! O my goodness I’m new to resin but it’s so calming & emotionally therapeutic. I’m definitely going to try this. Prices are ridiculous between Canada and the US I can only imagine the price hike within the last year of you doing this video. Thank you for sharing this step by step work of art.
This bowl is absolutely gorgeous! I love the shape, it’s so different.
That's absolutely beautiful!! So gorgeous!! I would put that on my bathroom shelf!! So pretty!!
Thank you! 😊
It’s beautiful. It looks like sprays of waves splashing. I love the seashells too. So different. I love it 🎶❤️
I really loved everything you do, ❤️, you've given me courage to go back to doing crafts, your work is outstanding, and like one lady said, don't be so hard on yourself, thank you for inspiring me and others
It's beautiful. Looks like an ocean wave.
Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!!! I am in loooove!!!
It’s beautiful it looks like a massive wave or splash x
Hey girl, I love love love this bowl!!! When I saw the shells I was a little disappointed BUT LET ME SAY, …. I grew up spending my summers off the Delaware coast n when the bowl was done the shells gave a VERY REALISTIC look to the water look! This bowl is stunning n while we are our own worst critics, you did a brilliant job! Love your work!
Hermoso tu trabajo pero no está subtitulada Español gracias.🍀🌟🌷🌼🌼💐💐🦋💞☘️
Love that you shared EVERY DETAIL 😉 🌻
Ooooh, how cool! I bet you could make a lampshade in a similar fashion! Very pretty!
Yes for sure! It is on my list!!!
This is beautiful. I like your calm energy.
It looks like a jelly fish draped over the candle holder like that I LOVE the translucent blue. The whole thing is just too beautiful...
Absolutely STUNNING!!! Definitely gonna try it. I've never done anything like this, but I'll follow you're steps. :)
Amazing work my dear queen. You have golden hands.
I think it's beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Ok, I never imagined you’d get the final result when you started, but you did it, and did it very well!
Thank for be quite open to teach
I think the white milky effect is a happy accident. It gives the illusion that it's live action suspended as though something is being dropped into the water with force. I thought the shells were going to make it cheesy too but it actually didn't. It's like the shore is interacting with the wave and being sucked up, more live action suspended. Very cool!
WOW !!! I LOVE the bowl...Fantastic IDEA !!! I'm new to resin artwork, I bought 200.00 worth of Resin and I'm making a BOWL like yours ! THANK YOU for the GREAT Idea...this makes a GREAT Christmas present...Unusual gift for anyone to receive !!!
If I win the lottery ,the first thing I will buy is a piece of your beautiful work. You are so talented x
Wow!! I’ve just started crafting and will strive to create this beautiful “splash”. Very well done 🦋
That's stunning. That turned out beautifully.
I really like the wide effect . It gives the effect of water splashing. It is great . Good job.
First time watching your video. I am taking at the present resin class. I really like your work. Hugs from the Dominican Republic. 🙏💙💙💙💙🇩🇴🇱🇧🇺🇸
This bowl is absolutely breathtaking! It looks just like the beautiful crashing waves! Thanks for posting!!
It’s beautiful! You’re learning each time and I can’t wait to see more 🇺🇸✨🇺🇸
Beautiful! Looks like ocean 🌊 waves
Absolutely love it minus the shells but really beautiful Thank you
That is absolutely gorgeous!!! Love it!!!
I love this! Looks like a splash in the ocean. You thought it was not exactly what you wanted…I think it’s wonderful!
Her daughter was wrong (I think). The shells are a good addition, they're giving the bowl just the right amount of extra interest, IMO. I really like this bowl.
That looks perfect it's great I like it I would never thought how to do that.
That is a stunning piece,I can imagine it lit up , displayed in a very classy place...
Definitely inspires me...If I can just get through the crisis I'm in...Lovely to think there's a lovely fun project to try ,when I'm through..
Stunning piece, you absolutely nailed the colors. And really captured the shape of breaking waves.
This is quite stunning. Cost wise, South Africa it is exhorbedent. I was fortunate being with my daughter for six months and brought a lot molds and goodies home. 5hank you for your tutorials. I love Canada and its people.
Wunderschön 🤩
HÜPSCH und PERFEKT 👌💝✨😊🦋🌻🌹💫
Honestly I think the seashell are a charming touch. They compliment the theme of the bowl and the colors. The bowl looks awesome!!!! Great job!!!!
I absolutely loved watching this. That bowl....however imperfect you may think, just takes my breath. The colors, the shape, the sparkle...just...all of it. I can not wait to try this. Thank you so much!!!! YES...that foamy top is just beautiful
That is absolutely beautiful 💙💙💙 turquoise/teals/blues are my favourite colours. I live by the sea in Brighton, England. I am definitely inspired. Thank you 💙💙💙
I learn more watching this video than any other video. Thank you for making it.
That turned out beautiful.

Your artwork is beautiful I do like the shells in it ...I'm from Oregon I have tons of shells that I would love to be able to use in my artwork. I've never seen this kind of art thank you for showing it to me
I think it’s absolutely gorgeous
I loved the seashells when I first saw it. Guess I love "kitschey" lol nice bowl.
I’ve just tried my first resin too and it’s definitely a learning curve. Great video of reality and things to avoid. Thanks for sharing this.
Your work is so beautiful! And I love underwater things, you are just too good for that kinda stuff! 🥹
One word: WOW!!!
Stunning piece! I love it 🥰
I love the fact that you use things that most people already have...I can't stand watching videos where people use only things you have to go& buy that are "professional" items...using baggies, makeup sponges, bottles taped together etc .is genius thinking!...so I appreciate you doing it the easy, cheap, hack way cause that's how I work!
Thank you!! I really appreciate you saying that.... necessity is the mother of invention!!!
Just found this Channel and you are awesome!! Im obsessed with watching others use epoxy Resin!!🥰😊😊
Not sure how I found this channel, but I'm sooo glad I did! This is beautiful, makes me want to try it myself❤❤
Me too 😊💚💛🧡👣👍
I really appreciate watching your process and hear what you like and don’t and what your expectations were. It’s helpful to learn this skill as I’m sure it’s helpful for you to learn what works for you.
Lol. My gosh you're so dainty, delicate, and cute. It's a pleasure to listen to you talk and work. Thank you for this, it was informative and interesting and I genuinely enjoyed it. And your project is beautiful, well done, and thanks again!
Your bowl is beautiful, shells and all.
