Back on the Santa Cruz V10.8 / Solar Eclipse Shuttle Day / April 8, 2024

- It's been a few weeks since we shuttled the local trails. I was stoked because I finally got my rear triangle back. I cracked it on my 3rd ride a couple months ago, and I had to wait for Santa Cruz to warranty it (which they did) and then Element 6 had to get it custom painted to match the rest of my bike.
It was also Solar Eclipse so that was really cool. It was my first time actually looking at it with the special glasses and it was pretty awesome. It was a fun day, the trails were running good.
Great ride gents!!! I was just there for my first time last week. That place is so rad!
We were in the path of total darkness here in South Texas, it was dark like nighttime for about 4 minutes at 1:30pm in the afternoon - super cool! That V10 is a monster by the way!
Wow that's amazing! Yeah I believe TX had the best view of the solar eclipse in the United States.

that was a wicked day (even with the eclipse)...I don't know how Matt got his bike outta the way so we didn't have a pile up on the 405!!! that probably woulda been bad 😬😬😬

Here in Ontario Canada It got so dark the street lights came on during the full eclipse

Yeah ofcourse I'm still eating One Meal A Day. I said I was going to do this for the rest of my life and I still intend to do it

You're obviously stoked on that bike. It's as if you're levitating over the trail. Do you have any reservations about the bike now, seeing that it was damaged so early on, or would you say that it was just a random fluke? I know that's not the first time you cracked a bike, lol!
I have zero regrets at all with this bike as you can tell I absolutely love it. I think that crack was a fluke and yes I have cracked other frames and thankfully none of them more than once.
@@TommyHuynh gotcha. I've been riding a carbon Nomad for the past 3 years. Granted, I ride a few notches "less aggressive" (lol!) than the wreckless riders but I still hit plenty of gnar on many of those trails you guys are riding and sure, it's got some bruises and scrapes from rocks and crashes but so far no catastrophes! (knock on wood). The ride wrap I put on it definitely helps.
