I was thinking that too. What he'll probably do is sign as a free agent after his Buffalo contract is over, retire right after signing. A lot of players tend to do that. I wouldn't be surprised if Patrick Kane does that w Chicago.
They did it with JJ last year, why not EJ this year? The one problem I would think of is the $3M cap hit he brings. But still, bring him back!!!!!
@ChristianB0421 Might be true. The Sabres won't be resigning him after this season. Heard they had him as a healthy scratch for a few games.
@@ChristianB0421 I think it'll depend on if Buffalo is still in the playoff hunt or not. If they are, they'll be looking to move him and his contract. If not, they'll be looking for picks and retain half his contract. So we could probably get EJ back if Buffalo eats half his contract if Buffalo keeps their losing ways 🤞

We miss you EJ. You've been a staple of the Denver sports world for so long. Seeing you lift that Cup meant more to me than watching Sakic hand it to Bourque. As an avid fan, I've seen all the work you've put in.
EJ stuck with us through thick and thin. One of the most underrated defenseman in franchise history. He gave everything for this team and I’m so happy he won a cup with us. Miss him.

For a guy that most would say “never lived up to” his number 1 draft spot, not many are laying it on the line like EJ did for us for so long. Even the first 6-7 years when we were a dumpster fire 😂

I was an EJ fan from the first day the Blues drafted him. One of his early mentors at the NHL level was none other than the great Al MacInnis. Definitely started his career on the right track.
